Playboy Alpha and His Contract Mate

Chapter 64

Ch. 64 / 102 Jan 23, 2026

Jeremy rushed up to her and asked, "Why did you poison Cena?"

"I wanted to poison Amaya, but I didn't know how the drink got swapped. I was so jealous when I saw you and Cena risk your life for Amaya!" Latina said tears coming out of her face uncontrollably.

"You shouldn't have done that, Latina!" Jeremy hugged her and petted her while I stood some distance and watched them. I should pity her, right? But I didn't. She wanted to poison me. How come I was this lucky?

Dax walked up to me and hung his arm over my shoulder. "Jeremy chooses Latina, Amaya. He still loves her. It's high time we became lovers!"

"Then go ahead and date him. You are of no use to me and now my enemy. I think you understand better, Amaya!" Jeremy said and followed Latina as they motioned her out of the place.

I and Dax walked out of the place too, but I was depressed over Jeremy's words. I was now in love with Jeremy, and I could not even imagine living a second without him.

Three days later, I was called to come over to the courtyard and when I got there, I met my mum in handcuffs alongside Dax. I began to hear accusations flying around my ears. I stood in the courtyard, my heart pounding as the accusations echoed around me. I couldn't believe what I was hearing about my mother. As I approached the center of attention, I saw my mother, now standing with her head bowed.

"Amaya, your mother has been accused of poisoning Cena. The evidence is compelling, and we cannot tolerate such actions within our pack," Alpha Brian said. I shot a glance at my mum.

My eyes widened, disbelief etched across my face. "Alpha Brian, there must be some mistake. My mother would never do such a thing. She has dedicated her life to healing and caring for our pack members," I mumbled in confusion.

"The evidence doesn't lie, Amaya. We found traces of a lethal substance in Cena's s system, and witnesses saw Dax putting the poison in his drink. She has betrayed the trust of the pack," Alpha Brian responded.

I turned to my mother, searching for answers in her tear-filled eyes. "Mom, please tell me this isn't true. You didn't poison anyone, did you?"

My mother's voice quivered with a mix of sorrow and desperation. "I did that because of you, Amaya. I never wanted you to come anymore closer to Cena that was why I sent Dax to poison him."

The emotions in the courtyard arose and the pack members murmured among themselves. I felt torn between my loyalty to my mother and the evidence presented by the Alpha.

Alpha Jeremy walked out of a corner with Latina, and said,

"Maybe your entire family is just a murderer. Latina poisoned your drink but it was swapped. Dax was the person your mum sent to kill Cena," Jeremy said, his voice piercing my veins like a sword. He hung his arm around Latina, pulling her closer to himself. Aurora and her daughter, Serah, walked out in new dresses.

"Regardless of the truth, trust has been broken. Your mother is hereby removed from her position as the pack doctor, and Aurora can now return to her position. We cannot risk the safety of our members," Alpha Brian declared.

Cheers loomed over the ambiance as Aurora became the pack doctor again. I saw myself as the cause of all these vulnerabilities happening to my mum. I hid my face in my palm and shed tears.

"Your mum must be in detention until Cena wakes up back to his normal self, or else she remains there forever!" The proprietor said.

I moved to my mum and hugged her, shedding tears as she was being handcuffed, and taken away from me.

I sat alone in the dimly lit classroom, the cold metal chair beneath me sending chills to my body. The arrest of my mother had shattered my heart as though I was left with nothing. And the only person that should be my companion was Jeremy, but he was nowhere to be found. He had turned me into his enemy and didn't want to see me again. As tears streamed down my cheeks, the heavy door creaked open, revealing the silhouette of Jeremy.

His footsteps echoed as he approached, a wicked grin featuring on his face. "Look at you, the daughter of a murderer. I always knew there was something off about your family."

My eyes, red and swollen from crying, met Jeremy's cold gaze. "JEREMY, you should not be saying this to me now! My mum is innocent. She did that for us."

He scoffed, leaning in closer. "Innocent? That's what they all say. The pack believes otherwise, and so do I. You people are dangerous."

My voice trembled as I spoke through my tears. "Jeremy please, you have to believe me. I need you this time."

Jeremy's laughter echoed through the classroom. "Believe you? Why would I believe the daughter of a murderer? Your father killed my mother, and now your mother will pay for it. Even that wretched father of yours would be haunted till I see him dead."

My heart sank as Jeremy's words hit me with a force I couldn't comprehend. "What are you talking about? Revenge on my father? Are you still talking about this?"

Jeremy leaned in, his breath hot with anger. "Your father tore my family apart. My mother suffered, and now it's time for him to feel the pain. Your mother's arrest is just the beginning. Your entire family will pay for what he did."

My heart troubled, trying to make sense of Jeremy's vengeful tirade. "JEREMY, my father is a fair and just leader. He wouldn't harm anyone without reason. This revenge you are seeking is misplaced."

Jeremy's eyes narrowed, and he spat out, "You're blind to the truth, just like your mother. But don't worry, I'll make sure your whole family pays for the sins of your father." Jeremy turned to leave, tears streaming out of my eyes like a busted pipe.

I was rejected and devastated. I stood up from my seat and walked towards the forest to see my father. He was the only person now for me. Maybe he could rescue Mum.

As I entered his territory, I found my father standing near the ancient pack meeting stone. His eyes guarded expression. I took a deep breath, summoning the courage to address him.

"Father, I need your help. Mom has been arrested, and I know she is innocent. I caused all that happened to her," I pleaded, my voice quivering with emotion.

He turned to me, and for a moment, I glimpsed a flicker of pain in his eyes. "Amaya, the decision has been made. Your mother is no longer part of our pack. I cannot interfere with the judgment of the pack members."

Tears welled up in my eyes as I grasped for understanding. "But, Father, you must know she is innocent. There is evidence that she is being framed. I can't lose her like this. Please, help me."

His expression hardened, and he spoke with a tone that sent shivers down my spine. "You need to accept the reality, Amaya. Your mother's actions, whether framed or not, have consequences. The pack has spoken, and I cannot undermine their rules."
