Playboy Alpha and His Contract Mate

Chapter 90

Ch. 90 / 102 Jan 23, 2026

"Poisoned?" Jeremy exclaimed. The proprietor walked up to us, hatred on his face as though he would kill us. "Hey, fool. Now that you are still my student, your victory shall be for the school!" The proprietor said, and we started laughing at him.

"Don't be a coward, Mr. Proprietor. We did not win this for your school," Mum sneaked in, tucking her chin at him. My mum held my hand and walked me out of the school field.

"Congratulations, Amaya!" Billie walked up to us, and greeted us, stretching her forth forward. I took her hand and nodded once in appreciation.

"Billie, what did you do to Nikki?" I asked her, looking at her through the lashes.

She smiled and responded. "This is just the tip of the iceberg, Amaya! I am already in the lane to avenge the death of my parents!"'

We were going to see my father in his territory when the masked man walked up to us with a clenched fist. "Do you guys think you can go Scott free?" The masked man asked, his voice seething with anger.

I stared at him, feeling a mixture of fear and adrenaline coursing through my veins. How did he even know about my victory in the contest? And more importantly, why is he here to fight?

"You are dying, idiot!" I retorted, my voice laced with power. I refused to let my fear show, even though deep down, I knew something was wrong.

My mother stood beside me, a look of concern etched across her face. "Who sent you here? What do you want?" She demanded, her protective instincts looming.

The masked man sneered, his eyes narrowing as he shifted closer to us. "Oh, you will find out soon enough," he hissed, glint in his eyes.

Suddenly, without warning, he lunged towards me, his fists swinging fiercely. I barely had time to react, dodging his first blow by stepping to the side.

I knew I had to defend myself, so I quickly defensively raised my arms, ready to counter his moves with the new skills I learned from Douglas.

"Oh, good. I see you have nice skills, but I would not hesitate to gash through your neck just as I did to the prison guard some days ago," The masked man said.

"What? I thought as much. So you were responsible for the death of the prison guard. You must pay for this!" I screamed at him.

The masked man chuckled, his laughter growing wild. "Some debts can never be repaid," he replied and launched another attack.

I stopped his punches with quick reflexes, feeling the adrenaline surge through me. Thank God for the rigorous training Douglas put me through else I would not have been able to kick this dude's ass. My mother was by my side, watching as we exchanged impact on one another.

As our fists collided, I could feel the impact through my body. I gritted my teeth, refusing to let him win. I made up my mind to fight this dude till I overcame him. Anytime I remembered about the prison guard, I felt this strange surge of energy inside of me.

As the minutes turned into what felt like hours, I began to feel weak, my arms felt heavy, and my movements grew sluggish. The masked man, on the other hand, seemed relentless, unaffected by exhaustion. He must have been paid to make sure I didn't survive today.

"Leave her alone!" Douglas gash through his neck from nowhere. The guy in the mask fell on the floor and grunted in pain.

The masked man hesitated as he saw Douglas on his way, and a pang of fear swarmed on him. I couldn't see his face, but his body language told me.

"Why do you care?" The masked man scoffed, attempting to regain control. "This is none of your business."

Douglas squared his shoulders. "It became my business the moment you killed my family, the moment you threatened to kill her!"

The guy in the mask laughed sinisterly and said. "Alex sent me to kill your parents, Douglas. And that's her father!"

"What? My father?" I asked, looking at my mum with widened eyes.

"Is your father Alex?" Douglas faced me and asked. I nodded.

"Fuck!!" Douglas hit his palm and gritted his teeth, the masked man still laughing.

"Amaya, your father killed my parents!" Douglas faced me, his eyes turning red. "Can we sort this out please?" I pleaded with him, but his composure was not pleasant.

"So if you want to kill me, you kill her father first, and then I can be killed!" The guy in the mask said, and laughed.

Douglas gritted his teeth and spoke. "I will kill you first before I kill him!"

Douglas lunged at him and kicked him, then the fight started again. Douglas gash through his neck, and howled louder, blood dripping down from his neck. He pulled him. His pernicious canines sank into his neck, and the guy in the mask fell on the floor, his tiger hands making marks on Douglas's skin.
