Playboy Alpha and His Contract Mate

Chapter 84

Ch. 84 / 102 Jan 23, 2026

"I couldn't catch the white-bearded man, Jeremy," I struggled to say restlessly.

"Fuck!" Jeremy sighed, resting his jaw on his hand.

"I was attacked by Nikki!" I pronounced it, looking so battered.

"Nikki? How come you fought her?" Jeremy asked looking into my eyes.

"Never mind!" I said to him as I tried to brainstorm who that guy was. He seemed to be out of this world.

We left the party back to our residence. I kept pondering the words of the guy on the mask. He said I should not forget my roots, and I was big time confused about what he meant. The guy has the best precision ever and seems to defeat Nikki.

Jeremy and I were in my father's territory to give him feedback about our conclusion. We had made up our minds to fight alongside him, but Jeremy still insisted on taking revenge someday.

"So are you now ready to join me?" My father asked Jeremy who was leaning against the wall with hands in his pocket.

Jeremy kept quiet for what seemed like minutes, and responded, "I will only fight beside you because of Amaya. I will be by her side to guide her and that's all."

My father laughed sinisterly, tucking his chin. "You need to be careful, Alex. I sensed some spies in your pack!" Jeremy said and looked at me. I nodded in affirmation.

"Yes, father. The white-bearded man that came to see you that day is a spy." I broke out, and my father hummed a sound of disbelief.

"What do you mean by that?" My father asked.

"That's true, Alex. Amaya caught him in the proprietor's party in a mask!" Jeremy added more weight to my speech.

"Are you sure of what you are saying?" My father asked, looking at us suspiciously.

"Yes, father!" I responded and explained how he ran out of the party house some minutes after he saw me.

My father applauded us for a Job well done and promised to consider that. We left there, and on returning to my house we saw Cena in the pool of his blood.

"Cena!!" We rushed to him on the floor, raising his head to my lap.

"What happened?" Jeremy asked in confusion.

"A group of rogues just attacked your mum, and I am sorry she has been kidnapped the second time," Cena muttered, his voice breaking.

"What??" I screamed and rushed into the room, and she was nowhere to be found. Who the hell kidnapped my mum?

Cena could only point in the direction of the invaders. I wanted to run after them, but Jeremy held my hand.

"Calm down. Let's report to the school proprietor first!" Jeremy suggested.

"No, Jeremy!" I insisted. I didn't know why I had this conviction in my heart that the school proprietor was responsible for this attack.

"We have to!" Jeremy pulled my hand and motioned me to the proprietor's office. The proprietor was seated on a couch, glancing through an exercise book when we barged in.

"Yes, how can we help you, lovers?" The proprietor asked us, more like mocking as though he knew about the attack.

"My mum has been kidnapped again this afternoon!" I said with a shaking voice. He smirked and rolled his eyes in jest.

"What's my business with that Amaya? You should meet your father in the forest for help. Have you forgotten I now hate you with passion?" The proprietor said. "At least Amaya earns you the top goals you have in your school!" Jeremy sneaked in.

"Oh, lover boy. I can see this love of a thing has entered your head!" The proprietor insulted Jeremy and told him to keep quiet.

"Please, help me!" I begged him, rubbing my two palms together.

The proprietor stood up in his seat and walked up to me, resting his hands on my shoulder. "I may help you find your mother on one condition."

"What could that be?" I asked him, rolling my eyes at him in disgust.

"Join me and fight that your reckless father!" He pronounced, sniffing at my head in a whimper.

"That's not possible, Mr. Proprietor. I can't leave my father for you!" I said to him, pushing away his hands from my shoulder.

"Of course, Mr. Proprietor. She can't fight her father for you. She has earned a lot of accolades for you in the time past. Where was Nikki?" Jeremy said. The proprietor glared at us with wide eyes, and took three steps backward, leaning against his table.

"Leave my office, now!!" The proprietor screamed at us, and we were forced to leave, slamming his door annoyingly.

I sat down under a tree, thinking of how I could get my mother. Only two people could help my mother out of her den- my father, and the proprietor. Meanwhile, my father would never help me find Mum. It was things I knew he would never do. Also, the proprietor would not help me find her as he had given me what I needed to do for him to do that, and I was not ready to succumb.

"Hey, bought some food for you!" Jeremy walked up to me and offered me a warmer of food. I nodded my head in disagreement, but he forced me to take a spoon of it. I took it, and he rested two cold kisses on my head.

"I promised to help you find your mum, Amaya!" Jeremy said, putting the second spoon of the food in my mouth. I giggled at him.

"You don't have an ability, Jeremy. How can you help me get my mum out of that den?" I asked him, looking into his innocent eyes.

"Any man that could teach you a once lazy ass how to fight must be powerful, Amaya!" He stated and looked into my eyes.

"I mean the man that trained you in the forest when you were banned some months ago!" Jeremy landed.

I put one of my fingers in my mouth and thought of who the person could be. "Oh, Douglas?" I asked myself once again. Yes, Douglas. Wait a minute, the masked man told me to remember my source. Jeremy was right. I needed to go back to the dense forest and learn new fighting skills from the almighty Douglas.
