The man in the mask was killed by Douglas and left in the pool of his blood. Douglas, the fierce man stared at me and my mother with cold eyes. "Amaya, your father is the next to be killed!"
"No, Douglas! You are a mentor to me. Please, forgive my father!" I ran to him and held him by his shirt, but he pushed me away from him.
"Hello, Douglas. We know Alex has done you wrong by killing your father. Please we want you to temper justice with mercy!" My mother rubbed her palms together and asked her for mercy.
Douglas yelled at her, interjecting our plea. Douglas was once a member of the vegetative pack before my father killed his parents. Ever since then, he moved out of the vegetative pack to the North where he struggled to meet his needs, gathered rogue members like him, and made a promise to come back someday and take brutal revenge.
Cena, Jason, and Jeremy ran up to where we were. "What's happening here? This dude has been killed?" Jeremy asked as he saw the guy in the mask lying dead on the floor.
Douglas stared at them with bad eyes, his eyes glaring daggers at them. "Who is he, Amaya?" They echoed.
"He is Douglas, my mentor, and master. He taught me how to fight!" I responded.
"Yeah, buddy. That means we got him at our back to fight the school proprietor. The school proprietor has arranged his dangerous boys and some ability werewolves including Nikki to fight your family!"
"No, Jeremy. Douglas is planning to kill my father. He wanted to avenge the death of his parents!" I looked down and said.
"What? Did Alex kill your parents too?" Jeremy looked at Douglas and asked. Douglas nodded.
"That man is a killer. He killed my mum too, and I would make sure he died today!" Jeremy spoke, walking up to Douglas and standing by his side.
"But why Jeremy? You should support us, not Cena. Florida and Amaya would be killed if you supported Douglas!" Jason pleaded on my behalf, but he turned deaf ears to it.
"I was afraid to fight Alex because I was alone, but now I have a companion to fight your wicked father!" Jeremy interjected despite our plea.
"In that case, Jeremy, you are now our enemy," Jason said and moved closer to us while Jeremy and Douglas stood at their daring ground.
They shifted to their wolf and lunged towards my father's territory as Jeremy led, howling badly that one could see the propinquity of their fury.
I looked at my mum, tears dropping off my face as I watched Douglas run deep into the woods alongside Jeremy. Apart from the fact that these duo were aiming at my father, I was so sad to accept the fact that Jeremy was now against me.
My mother pulled me closer to herself and started wiping off the tears from my face, resting her chin on my head. "We need to save your father, Amaya. Douglas is dangerous!" My mother said to me and wiped off her fallen tears.
"Yes, Amaya, Florida. You both are great Lycans with abilities. You can help Alex not to get killed!" Cena said, and Jason agreed with him, giving us encouraging words that made me charged.
I felt the adrenaline rush inside of me, but the two parties I wanted to fight were two important people in my life. Douglas was my mentor, my master, and one who taught me the principles of boldness. Jeremy was someone I loved so damn much. I could not imagine fighting this duo or killing them with my hands.
We started running after Douglas and Jeremy to stop them.
The dimly lit room echoed with the echoes of footsteps as I, my mother, Cena, and Jason stormed into the space where my father lived, but to our shock, we found it empty—the battle had ended, but not in the way they expected.
"Where is he? Where is your father?" My mother asked, looking around in surprise as well as us.
"Did we arrive too late? What happened here?" Jason asked too.
I scanned the room, anxiety clawing at my chest. The remnants of a struggle were proof that this place had been attacked, but my father was nowhere to be found.
"Could it be that my father has been killed? Douglas and Jeremy must be..." My voice trailed off, and a chilling realization dawned upon us. A shiver ran down my spine as I noticed a note hastily left on the table.
"If you want to see your father again, follow the instructions carefully," the note says.
My mother snatched the note, her eyes narrowing with a mixture of anger and concern.
"Kidnapped? But who would do this?" My mother asked disdainfully.
"We need to stay calm and figure out what the instructions are. Let me see the note," Cena snapped the letter from my mom.
Cena read the instructions aloud, mapping out a complex of locations and tasks that needed completion to ensure my father's safe return.
"We have to save him. Whatever it takes," Jason said, and we rushed out, embarking on the perilous journey outlined in the instructions.
The first location led us to an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the pack. As we entered, a shadowy figure emerged from the darkness, laughing at us sinisterly.
"So, you have come. Ready to prove your devotion?" Jason and Cena laughed at us.
"Enough games! Cena, Jason. What's happening here?" My mum gritted her teeth and asked.
Then, out of nowhere, a chilling voice echoed through the vast space. "You fools should know you are tricked!" The proprietor's voice cut through the silent air, sending shivers down our spines. The sinister laughter that followed chilled me to the bone, and I exchanged a worried glance with my mum.
"What does he mean, Amaya," My mother's voice quivered with fear, her eyes searching mine for answers.
"I... I don't know, Mum," I stammered, my heart pounding in my chest. "But we are not going to let him get away with this."
We pressed forward, only to be met with an ambush. A group of masked thugs emerged from the shadows, surrounding us. I could feel their malevolent intent radiating in the surroundings. One of them charged at me, but I quickly dodged his attack. Thank goodness for Douglas's training.
"Stay strong, Mum! We can do this!" I yelled over the grating sound of clashing bodies. My voice rang laced with determination.
My mother fought bravely alongside me, her fists flying with great precision. But the thugs were cunning, their attacks coordinated and relentless.
My mother and I were pushed back, the weight of defeat beginning to crush our spirits. Blood spun out from our wounds as the heat kept going.
Suddenly, a surge of power coursed through my veins anytime I discovered we were meant to fight for what belonged to us. And it's either now or never.
"Mum, now!" I seized the opportunity, grabbing my mother's hand and pulling her away from the fray. Together we sprinted towards an old wooden door, determined to escape the clutches of the villains
But then Cena and Jason inserted a syringe into our neck, and we passed out.
