Playboy Alpha and His Contract Mate

Chapter 79

Ch. 79 / 102 Jan 23, 2026

It was on the sports day, the next phase of the ongoing competition. My father had warned me not to partake in the competition, and I had agreed with him. Though my mom, Florida, wanted me to partake in it, I would not partake in it.

The students were anticipating my coming as they were calling my name, hailing me, and expecting me to jump over to the school field, and represent the school, but I was not ready for anything like that.

I was sipping my hot tea when my mom walked into my room aggressively. "Amaya, what the hell are you still doing here?" She blew hot. I dropped my tea on the floor and responded in a calm, but unwavering sound"Mom, I told you I am not going to partake in that competition. Can't you just get this straight?"

"Don't tell me you have started listening to your father, Amaya. He would destroy you. He doesn't like you!" My mum said, holding me by my shoulder.

"Mum, are you choosing the school proprietor over my dad? The school proprietor is also chasing after the life of my father!" I asked my mom.

"Your father is a manipulator. He is a liar and a scumbag soul. All he wanted from you was to fight beside him. Aren't not wise? Nikki, a bastard daughter of him doesn't want to fight besides him!" My mother reasoned.

Though, truly, Nikki denied Alex, my father, and my mother might not have heard about Nikki losing her memory when she was young. She must have lost her memory and everything that has to do with my dad. Don't you think?

"Mum, there's none of your business with Nikki. Nikki chooses to hate her dad, but I love him!" I said to my mum, and stood up from the chair, placing the tea on the table.

"Amaya!" The proprietor's voice called me. He stood closely by the door and watched me, probably he might have eavesdropped on our conversation.

I walked reluctantly towards him and shrugged. "Morning, Sir!" I greeted.

"Morning, Amaya. Why are you not in your game dresses? The students are waiting for you to come and make us proud as usual, but you are here having a meaningless argument with your mom. I want you to know that your mom cares much more about you than your father," The proprietor advised.

The school's decision for me to participate in the contest felt like an unwelcome intrusion into my life. The weight of expectations, the pressure to prove something, was a burden I wasn't sure I could bear.

The hours of the contest arrived, and as I stood in the locker room, the air was charged with anticipation. The echo of cheers and roars from the field filtered through the walls, heightening my anxiety. I glanced at myself in the mirror, wearing the school uniform that suddenly felt like a costume.

"Do it for the school, Amaya," one of my classmates encouraged, patting me on the back. I mustered a weak smile. Stepping onto the field, the cheers of the students enveloped me. My gaze scanned the familiar faces in the stands, searching for a sense of support amid the sea of expectations.

As the first event unfolded, I hesitated on the sidelines, reluctant to fully embrace the role I was supposed to play. The school was losing, and a sense of guilt simmered in me. Yet, the idea of using my abilities for a contest I never signed up for felt like a betrayal of my principles.

The cheers for my schoolmates echoed in my ears as they competed with varying degrees of success. I stood on the edge of the field, an outsider in my own story. The school proprietor's eyes bore into me from a distance, a silent reminder of the stakes involved.

As the school proprietor noticed I wasn't putting my whole effort into the tether our school had begun to lose, he stood up from his chair and motioned a girl to come over. Suddenly, Nikki walked out of the crowd wearing our school uniform.

The whole crowd kept quiet as she walked up to the school field with pride and prejudice. She got to my front and asked me to leave the field in a commanding tone.

"Get out of this place, bitch!" Nikki said to me, glaring daggers at me as though she would kick my ass again for the second time.

"And if I don't leave, what will you do?" I asked her, yet, fear simmered into me.

"I will kick your ass again, Amaya. You are worthless and cheap. Your time has passed. It's my time to outshine you!" Nikki said to me and spat on my face. I wiped it off with the back of my hand and walked out of the school field. The onlookers murmured, mocking me as I walked out of the school field.

Nikki took over my chance, revealing her rare skills, and abilities. She ran the race and won for the school. Applauses from the students loomed through the aura as she won while the students spared me a bad remark.

Nikki walked up to where I was by the side of the field and mocked me again. "Hey, failure. How do you feel about seeing me winning for your school?" She asked her hands in her pocket.

"Congratulations, Nikki. It's good to see you win" I said to her, and wanted to walk away, but she pulled me back with her hands.

"You don't dare walk away from me, bitch!" Nikki said to my face. Nikki knew she was far better than I in terms of power, and abilities. She read the fear in my eyes and used that against me. I wish she could join my father.

"Nikki, don't be deceived by the proprietor. We are siblings. We have things in common," I tried to reason with her. She pushed me, causing me to lose balance, and fell on the floor.

The students started laughing and mocking me as I stood up on my feet, and dusted off the dirt on my shirt. I gritted my teeth as though I was going to fight back, but the goodness knew I dared not fight this devilish Nikki.
