Playboy Alpha and His Contract Mate

Chapter 46

Ch. 46 / 102 Jan 23, 2026

"What's happening here?" The proprietor asked, glancing at our body.

"Amaya was attacked by some sets of rogues!" Jeremy said, clutching tightly to his wounded neck.

"What is the problem? The black rogues don't disturb us. Is there anything you are hiding from us, Florida?" The Proprietor asked, tucking his chin.

"There is nothing to hide. My daughter has been under the ambush of these black rogues for months. What's it? Should we leave the pack for you guys?" My mum asked lethally, losing the smoothness of her voice.

"Jeremy saved my life!" I said to them. Jeremy walked closer to me and hung his arm over my shoulder.

"And you, Jason. What are you doing here?" I asked Jason, gritting my teeth in annoyance.

"I have come to save you just like the way you saved my name some days ago!" Jason said and smiled.

"I don't need your help, Jason," I screamed at him. Jeremy hung his hand over my neck, and added,

"Guess you are not deaf! She said she does not need your help!"

"You should be at the sports contest right now, Jeremy. But you are a coward and a woman wrapper. What else can you offer other than screwing butts?" Jason asked Jeremy.

"Screw more butts?" Jeremy responded, rolling his tongue.

"Enough!!" One of the elders scoffed at them.

"Jason and Jeremy should be at the forefront of war in this school. You guys should be the warlords of the students but Amaya's big butt has taken all your senses!" The proprietor yelled at them.

"Amaya can't be mated to Jason. I prefer my daughter to be made less than mated to him," My mum spoke. Jeremy laughed mockingly beneath.

Jason's eyes grew into sudden hatred. He turned around and walked out of the place in shame and rejection.

The proprietor ensured Mum maximum protection. Jeremy was also applauded for saving my life.

I was still on my bed sleeping when Jeremy's voice screeched over my roof like a tornado. I tore my dim eyes open and opened my window. I laughed at him as I saw him in his game wear. I slept late yesterday night. My mum and I had a very nice dialogue and gossiped too over Aurora and her daughter, Serah. We reckoned on the memories, and I enjoyed my night with her.

"Superhero! We are waiting for you in the school field," some junior she-wolves screamed in nervousness behind my window.

"Our boys took fourth in the first game. We can't afford to lose this female tournament again," one of the she-wolves added.

I sat up on my bed and quickly recounted today's date. Today was the beginning of the sports contest. In the contest, about thirty games would be played each recorded for the houses present. And the first one started with a relay race. In the relay race, obstacles would be kept on the roads. You must pass through the obstacles else you lose. It always started with the males, and now it was the turn for the females.

I picked up my game wear and put it on in a hurry as the cheering sounds of the students were resounding on the school field. My mum dropped a kiss on my cheeks.

"Good morning, Mum!" I greeted her. She was also in her game wear and white tennis shoes. As the pack doctor, she must be present in a place like this to treat any injuries that could surface.

"Morning, love. Guess you slept late yesterday. You should be ready for today's game. Make mum proud, okay?" She said and patted my shoulder. I sighed and giggled. This was the first time I would feel so important and valued by someone.

I bounced out of my room, searching for Jeremy, and then he pulled me from behind closer to himself.

"My love, you look so gorgeous and endowed. Guess you will make us proud on the field!" Jeremy said playfully.

"What's the count?" I asked him about the male tournament.

"We took fourth! Fourth!!!" He said and laughed mockingly.

"Who represented us?" I asked him.

"Who else if not Jason? The gap between him and that boy called Dax was like the Icarus to the sun!" Jeremy made jest of Jason, imitating the way Jason lost. I was forced to smile.

"You are the only hope we have now, Amaya. Make us proud!" Jeremy said to my face and we kept walking up to the school field.

The cheers of the students loomed through the stadium as I stepped out to represent my school for the relay. "Can Aya win this game? This was the girl who could beat Dax. She is strong," one of the students gossiped.

"Yes, her mum too is a Lycan. Don't you know?" The other responded.

My heart pounded with a summation of excitement and nerves as I stood on the field, surrounded by a diverse group of skilled competitors. Right beside me was a short devil, Aya, whom the whole students had presumed to be the winner of the rely. she was the one standing beside me. She smiled as she saw me beside her. Even as we were friends, I still saw this dare in her eyes. She could not afford to lose this match as well as I could not.

The whistle was blown, its sharp sound kissing the air, and signaling the beginning of the race, and we strode towards the dense woods ahead.

I felt the earth beneath my feet as I navigated the challenging aura, my focus sharp, determined to prove myself on this global stage. As I was a human and did not have a wolf, Aya took advantage of her wolfish speed and took the first position while I took almost the last position. The race wasn't the problem but the 'OBSTACLES' kept on the way.

The first obstacle we met was grating cymbals. Here, two big cymbals made of silver and mercury clash with one another. The competitors had to endure the blaring sound of the cymbals before moving to the next obstacle, and as luck had it I escaped the first obstacle while some other competitors; so-called she-wolves, fell. The second obstacle was to pass through a ravaging fire where sets of sharp piercing arrows were hung. Just as I got there, I saw the notice board placed before the obstacle that competitors should withdraw if he or she could not pass through the phase.

Fear grabbed me as I stood in front of it and watched it restlessly. Meanwhile, Aya dipped her head into it and scaped through after many grunts and screams. I remembered that I must make my mum proud, and also my school. I remembered Douglas's motivations and delved into the obstacle. I struggled as if I was going to die till I escaped through it.

But then Aya could not pass through an obstacle which was the second to the last of it all. She was stuck there and could not move frequently anymore. I escaped through the obstacle, my game wear stained with my blood.

I was already feeling the aroma of my breakthrough as I was ready to go through the last phase of the contest when an arrow was shot to my front. I glared at the arrow in my front as though it was the last obstacle, but the way the second arrow narrowly kissed past my neck made me know what was going on. It doesn't look like a game or one of the obstacles.

I raised my head to see the shooters of the arrows on top of the close by hills, all dressed in black attires. I wanted to rush through the last obstacles, but they prevented me from taking a step further by throwing arrows in my path. I ran away from the track and began to fight them, but I was outnumbered.

With every strength remaining, I attempted to fight back, but the rogues were mean and outnumbered. They laughed at me mockingly, while I struggled to stand on my feet. The bloodied and bruised version of myself emerged from the woods, coming out as the last position in the wood. All the students were surprised and disappointed in me. My mum, the proprietor, Jeremy, and Aurora alongside all other inviting Alphas shook their heads of remorse as I stepped out. I started shedding tears not just because of the shattered dreams of victory, but also from physical pain.

"Who chose Amaya? She has failed us now!" Students murmur as I walk outside the woods while Aya is being awarded the first position of the rely.

Medical personnel rushed to tend to my wounds, and the realization of the incident's impact on the sports contest sank in. The screams of the assault by the students were far beyond the physical scars on my body and this got me bothered a lot in tears.

"Amaya, You failed!!" They began to throw a lot of dirt, plastics, and things at me. Jeremy rushed to where I was and pulled me closer to himself while I shed tears.

"You are a weak human, a bitch, and a coward. You make our school fail," Students screamed in bad remarks.

"Amaya, what happened?" Jeremy clutched close to me and asked and my breath grew higher.

"I was attacked during the relay," I muttered as the nurse was walking on my wound. One of the nurses pulled out a sharp syringe from my body. That syringe could only be owned by black rogues.

"Amaya was attacked!!" Jeremy screamed and raised the syringe to the eyesight of everyone. The proprietor, my mum, and others stood with bright eyes, and their mouths widened.
