Playboy Alpha and His Contract Mate

Chapter 36

Ch. 36 / 102 Jan 23, 2026

"Amaya, what's the meaning of what you did at the Moon hotel hours ago?" Jeremy ran after me and asked. I turned deaf ears to his words and kept moving hurriedly to where I did not even know until he grabbed me by my shoulder and pulled me back to himself. I turned to him, my eyes featuring a mixture of insecurity and betrayal.

"And if I ask, Jeremy, what does it look like? We are talking about my biological mother here," I said to his face.

"But I already told you. You need to follow some clues that would be provided by Cole. He knows better!" Jeremy placed his hands on my shoulder and reassured me.

"So what next?" I asked Jeremy who was now staring at my lips seductively. Jeremy pulled me closer to himself, barely nose to nose, and was about to rest his lips on mine when a sound interrupted-a sound of a lady clearing her voice more or less like interfering. Sounds of hills clicked the marbled floor, and in its direction was Kayla.

Kayla walked up to my front, smiling and steepling her fingers playfully. She picked up a strand of my hair and said,

"Wow! You look so gorgeous, Amaya. By the way, I would like to commend you for beating up Dax, the most mentioned figure in athletics." She curled her lips, moving back and forth in front of me. If it had been before, I would have almost entered the ground in panic because I knew she loved bullying me, but thank goodness for allowing me to be a better fighter.

"What's that you want?" Jeremy cut in. Kayla looked through her brows embarrassingly. She smirked and smiled.

"Oh, Jeremy. I am not here to waste your time or cut the romantic moment between you and your new girlfriend. I am just here to tell you I am three weeks pregnant for you." Kayla landed, stretching forth the doctor's report before he talked. I was wide-eyed and felt so bad at that moment.

"Pregnant?' Jeremy asked surprisingly. Kayla moved to his front and swirled her tongue. "Stop acting as if you have ever pulled out or used protection on me," she whispered.

I didn't know what came over me, but I knew I felt a pang of jealousy inside of me. Hearing that Kayla is pregnant with Jeremy was another piercing pin in my wounded heart. Kayla rolled her eyes disgustingly at me, and I rolled mine too boorishly and she walked away.

"Now that Kayla is three weeks pregnant for you, can you please terminate the contract between us?" I asked Jeremy painfully.

"No, we can't, We can't, Amaya. I can handle this!" Jeremy said, trying to touch me, but I restricted him.

"Hey, heroine!" Dax's voice loomed from behind. I turned at him, and my sullen look was replaced with a smile.

"I'm sorry. I need to go now!" I flung Jeremy a smile and left him for Dax. Dax and Jeremy flung daring gazes at each other, but I pretended I never saw that.

I and Dax walked through the dimly lit pack, perceiving the sweet scent of the exterior leaves in our path. "That was the same guy!" Dax broke the silence.

"Yes, that's him, Jeremy!" I responded, Dax trying to hide his jealousy.

"He's your boyfriend?" He asked and furrowed his brows slightly.

"Let's forget about him, Dax," I said to him and held his hand as we walked through the path. We had good memories and a fascinating meet-cute. Dax was fun to be with and also intelligent. Ahead of the international pack run tomorrow, we had to depart and go to our various houses.

It was the following morning, I smiled unobtrusively at my reflection in front of the wobbly mirror in front of me as I was wearing my school uniform, and recounting the memory of things that happened in school yesterday. Oh, I forgot to tell you I was no longer living with Aurora and her daughter. I was now living in my own apartment. The school proprietor gifted this place I was for me, and I loved it.

I picked up my bag and headed up to the school premises. As I got there, I saw crowds gathered, unlike usual, shaking heads as if a student had died. I ponied up to the crowds and met a junior she-wolf sitting closely on a bench as if what was happening was none of her business. I walked up to her and asked her.

"Hello!" I waved at her.

"Hi! Are you the superhero that saved the proprietor's cousin yesterday?" She opened her teeth, the first two teeth in front missing, and asked. I smiled at her and nodded.

"What's happening, here?" I asked her.

"Don't you hear Serah had been kidnapped by some set of villains this morning?" She asked surprisingly, as though I was omniknowest.

"Kidnapped? But why?" I raised my hands and asked surprisingly.

"Rumors alleged that Jason kidnapped her to punish her for cheating on him," she responded. I put my first finger in my mouth, matching how true this allegation could be. Though Jason could punish Serah for cheating on him, I don't think he could kidnap her for any reason. Nonetheless, I was still finding it hard to believe it was not his villain group that sent him to kidnap her.

I walked through the students of the school and found Aurora seated on a balcony bewilderedly while the school proprietor surveyed in depression. I walked up to them and greeted them. The proprietor greeted me, but Aurora rolled her eyes at me disgustingly.

"I heard Serah was kidnapped?" I asked the proprietor.

"Yes, of course, she was kidnapped this morning. And Aurora and the bodyguards have searched everywhere for her, but all our actions aren't still rescuing her," the proprietor responded.

"Why are you explaining this thing, Alpha? I'll look for my daughter myself," Aurora sneered.

Jason showed up from a distance and started walking up to where we were with eight giant men.

"That's the kidnapper coming!" Aurora blew hot, standing up on her feet, and smashing the table in front of her as Jason came nearer.
