“You move an inch. I wipe this rod on your head and I bet your brain would not remain the same!” One of the boys threatened her.
“What happened? Do I even know any of you?” Sia, the proprietor's cousin, said as if she was going to shift to her wolf soon.
“Do you want to shift?” One of them asked her and laughed at her. “Your wolf is as weaker as you are, bitch! You dare call my dad a bald man. Are you sick?“
Sia covered her mouth with her hands and laughed so hard. “Is your dad not balded on top? I didn't insult him., I only remembered him of his condition.” Sia mocked again.
“You are very stupid for that!” He poured the color in his hand on her face, and before she fought back, the guys dominated her and kicked her stomach. Sia fell to the floor and grunted in pain as the guys fogged her.
From their conversation, Sia happened to insult the father of the boy, and with the scene in front of me, Sia would have been wounded severely if she had not helped. I needed to help her. Yes, I think it was time to let this school know I was now a trained human. I must help her.
I rushed to the scene, and stood in front of them, blocking them from hitting Sia. “Who the hell are you? You don't even smell like a werewolf. You must be a weak vessel just like her.” They mocked me.
My fellow students started coming out of their classrooms as they saw me daring those boys in front of me. Kayla and others were also there, staring at me surprisingly. They never believed I could come outside boldly and defend myself. They froze in fear and watched as I, an unlikely heroine in the face of supernatural terror, stood confidently with my eyes ablaze with determination.
Sia huddled in a corner and watched me making some fighting moves. The boy whom Sia insulted his dad, a towering figure with fur as black as midnight, held a twisted grin that hinted at sadistic pleasure.
The air sparked with tension as I prepared to confront the prowess boys whom I could call the unearthly tormentors, but one thing was on my mind. I was busy gathering courage, strength, and boldness from the past words that Douglas said to me when I was in the woods. I was on the porch, waiting for them to make the first attack as one of the things I had been taught in the woods if I was going to fight the werewolves.
The black boy lunged at her, teeth bared, with a burst of speed. The counterattack skill seeped into me and as if time was slowed, I sidestepped the attack with an agility that defied human limits. A gasp rippled through the students as I countered with a lightning-fast strike to the boy's side. He staggered, glaring at me strangely. I was sure he was surprised by the unexpected resistance.
My movements were a mesmerizing blend of martial arts and instinct - dangerous moves that could only be thought of by Douglas and his rebels. Another werewolf charged at me, only to be met with a whirlwind of kicks and punches. Each blow was executed with flawless precision and a scream that smeared on my ego.
The boys fell on the floor, all staring at me in awe, and exchanged bewildered glances as I kicked their ass. My classmates stood in surprise as the bullies turned victims.
The black boy stood up on the floor and walked up to me, his eyes locking with mine. He dusted away the dirt on his school uniform and stood in front of me weak-willed. At first, I thought he was going to fight back, but his eyes told me he was not up for that.
"What manner of human are you?” he growled, his voice a guttural symphony of menace.
I cleared my throat and spared the students around me unwavering gazes, and responded.
“The kind that knows her weakness and fights it. The kind that stands up against cruelty, no matter its form, and the one that's trained by the best.”
The black boy sneered, revealing glistening fangs. "You're brave, little human. But bravery won't save you. Don't you think you need to be my friend?" He inquired, and I smiled.
“Why not? I can be your friend.” I responded to him, looking into his charming eyes.
“My name is Alpha Dax and I won the international contest against your school last year. I am here to prepare as the contest is just about to start.“ Alpha Dax said to me and offered me his hand.
“Wow! You must be a great athlete. I am Amaya!” I took his hand and responded.
“That's the boy, Sir.” The two other girls who were allowed to go had come back with the history teacher, pointing hands at Alpha Dax.
Sia stood up from the floor and moved to them while they dusted her school uniform, which had been stained with color, and dust.
“Amaya saved me!” Sia said as she was looking at me strangely.
“Amaya?” The history teacher, one who would always send me away from his class, asked in awe.
“Yes!!” The students echoed on my behalf.
“Unbelievable! Follow me now to the proprietor he must hear this.” The history teacher motioned me and Alpha DAX towards the proprietor's office. Dax's gaze met with mine, and he smiled at me. Unconsciously, I smiled back at him. Was it that I loved him?
