Isla’s POV
“That is not your baby. You damn liar. I know your game. You are just after revenge for the fact that I chose Mora over your own precious little sister.” Miller spat at Daniel causing me to gasp in shock.
The look of anger that flashed across my brother’s face made me fall silent as I watched the two of them walk towards one another.
“Do you really wish to challenge that?” Daniel growled through gritted teeth and clenched fists.
This was what Mora had caused to happen.
My ex-mate and brother fighting over her and the newborn pup.
“Leave it, Daniel. He is not worth it.” I called out causing them both to look up at me.
Ignoring the sad glint in Millers eyes, I turned to my brother.
“This is some messed up shit. How the hell is your mother standing there alive beside your uncle and your own brother claiming to be the father of my mate’s child. How strange!” Miller continued to spout.
I felt Max grip my hand as if letting me know that it would be ok, he would protect me if anything were to kick off.
Cleo started to push forward. I had to force her back with all my might. We did not like hearing Miller talk that way. I may have been upset about the identity of my parents, but I still cared and did not want him to disrespect them in that way. He had no right, especially since it was him who had caused me so much hurt and heartache in the first place.
Why could he not just go away and leave us all alone.
Daniel was adamant that Mora was his fated mate and the baby was also his. Miller was unlikely to give up that easily and I just knew that a fight would break out between the two.
“Let them be.” Max whispered to me as if he had read my mind, but I couldn’t. Cleo was pushing more and more; she was stronger and full of determination.
“You cannot challenge me; I am an alpha.” Miller laughed leaning against the tree behind him and smirking at Daniel.
The next minute, Daniel had ripped off his shirt and lunged towards a surprised Miller. He let out a growl to warn Daniel off, but he did not listen. Why would he? He was mad, in fact he was furious that Miller had dared to come between him and Mora.
He was certain that Mora was his true mate and would not allow anyone to get in the way of that. I believed him since nobody would go to this great length if they were not sure about what they were claiming to be the truth.
“Stop them!” My mother yelled and the colour drained from her face as she realised what they were about to do.
It was too late!
Daniel had leapt up into the air mid shift, landing on all four paws, growling and eyes locked on Miller. He too had shifted into his huge black wolf. As an alpha he was a lot bigger than Daniel, but I knew that my brother would give him a damn good try. He did not give up so easily.
“This is ridiculous, I’m getting you out of here.” Max suddenly scooped me up into his big strong muscular arms and went towards one of the cars in the car park.
My mother was getting hysterical, and Ed was trying to comfort her but failing terribly.
Cleo wanted to take over and it was getting even more difficult for me to rein her in.
Somehow though when Max placed me down onto the ground, I rolled away and jumped up onto my feet. My canines appeared from my gums, bones started to crack, and my clothes ripped to shreds as my body shifted into my wolf form. I kept my eyes on Miller who was ripping huge chunks out of my brother.
How dare he!
“Isla, stop!” I heard Max demand, but I was not going to obey his orders.
Miller needed to back off and get that in his thick head finally.
He did not see me at first until I bit my canines into the back of his leg, sinking them even deeper as he screamed out in agony. That gave Daniel enough time to push Miller off him and get himself up off the ground.
He was suddenly on top of Miller ripping at his front legs causing him to roar out in agony.
Then Max yanked me away from Miller and I tasted blood in my mouth and the next thing I knew, everything had gone black.
