The bangs on the door woke me. I slept late last night. All I was thinking about was my adventure in the Blue mountains. I was thinking in a positive way. That could be my last journey.
I wiped my eyes. Once I was in better control of my emotions, I opened the door.
Elizabeth outstretched her hands with a tray. I stared down at the French toasts, salad, and hot chocolate.
"I know. you didn't sleep." She walked in the room when I didn't take the tray.
"Have you changed your mind?" Silver asked, she was holding a white towel in her hand and wiping the sweat from her face.
"No," I shook my head.
"Then you're not getting it," Elizabeth pulled the tray close to her stomach.
I shrugged my shoulders and sauntered over to the long couch.
"You can't do this to us," Silver frowned.
"I can do anything to protect you," I muttered.
"You're not protecting us by giving us tons of tension." Elizabeth said, staring at me with annoyance.
"You have mates," I looked at them, "I don't want them to hurt me," I said.
"Dastien's hatred would be more dangerous." Silver rolled her eyes.
"Burt is taking me there. He can protect me from any harm. By the way, I just know that I'm cursed. That's the reason I couldn't go out. I don't know the reasons yet." I told hem.
"We don't know. The myth says... You're cursed by his mother." Elizabeth said.
"Who's mother?" I asked.
"That's all grandma said," Elizabeth said.
"You're creating more confusion, "
Silver cleared her throat, "Your parents will be here soon."
I slammed my hand over my forehead. I didn't want to face them, "Portals are closed." I said.
"They didn't leave." Silver said, "They stayed at Lance's place."
I thinned my lips at the information, "Burt! We're leaving within fifteen minutes," I announced and twirled to the washroom.
"You can't do this," Elizabeth said out loud in shock.
"They wouldn't allow me to go," I blurted.
"Then you're aware," Silver asked.
"Of course, I'm not mad." I closed the door behind me.
I glanced up at the ceiling. 'Can he see me? I didn't know, "Get ready to answer all my questions." I pushed myself away from the door.

I turned the key and drove the car out of the parking lot. I pulled the hood over my head. My heart was stuttering. I didn't take a shower. I just waited for them to leave. The Blue Mountains! I had to reach there.
"So, do you drive?" I asked.
He stared at the steering wheel with big eyes. I wasn't an expert either, "I can try," He said.
I nodded, "Let me drive out of the territory. Then you can try. Please try not to kill us before we meet him."
"You could have allowed your friends to accompany you during the drive." He suggested.
"Sounds amazing. But no," I glanced over him, "Did they try to bribe you?" I asked.
He didn't argue and nodded. I knew it. I glanced at the rear view mirror. No one was chasing me. Before Silver and Elizabeth had known that I was missing from the room. I'd be far away from them. I was praying. I did not want to feel horrible pain again. I was going away from my safe shell. It could be a trap by the vampire king. I wouldn't be responsible for anything bad for anyone.
"No!No!" I smacked my hands against the steering wheel as the car sputtered and finally rolled to a slow stop in the middle of the road, "No! Please, don't do this to me. I need you now," I clenched my hands on the steering wheel.
"Is it dead?" Burt asked.
"No! Don't say that. It hardly has been three hours of driving. We haven't crossed half the distance." I opened the door.
"True," He smiled.
I held myself from glaring at him. I walked around the car, "What could be wrong with it?" I asked myself, "Oh! No!" In my haste of leaving the academy, I forgot to check the fuel and gas. My lips pursed in exasperation, "They must have done this," My face contorted in irk.
"True," I heard her before seeing her.
"I hate you, Betty!" I yelled, my eyebrows pulled together in frustration.
"But we love you. I'm glad my plan worked," Silver said happily as she whirled on her feet.
I looked back at her with a cold gaze, " I'm stuck in the middle of who-the-hell-knows-where. How could you do this to me?" I demanded, staring at her.
"Oh! Come on!" Silver rolled her eyes, "You need to shower." She opened the driver's side door and grabbed my backpack. She began her pace to her pink stylish car.
"Do I smell nasty," I tried to sniff myself. I showered before going to bed.
"No, but you need to shower. Because I'm going to cast a spell on you. For your safety. You can't stay out for long. Remember?" She tugged me toward the car.
My gaze turned to the black macho jeep. Edward was sitting behind the wheel, and Alessandro was in the passenger seat. They were dressed like twins. Black tee-shirts, caps and glasses.
"You are a spoiler." I said in irk.
"We're the saviours." She opened the back seat door for me and got in the passenger seat herself.
I glanced back. Burt took the second backpack and strode toward the Jeep. I sat in the car and closed the door with a bang.
"Em! You're hurting my baby." Silver stared at me.
I popped my tongue out and looked away, stiffening. I couldn't make it far enough to stay out of their reach. Why didn't I check the fuel and car before? Yeah! I was in a hurry. And I'm stupid.
"Now cheer up, stop giving us a haunted look." Elizabeth smiled my way.
I easily gave them a way to locate me. I was counting on my luck which never stood by me. The icy wind was howling outside the window. I pulled my hood closer to my body and wrapped my arms around myself.
Silver turned the heat on, "Thanks, " I said. I recalled his icy cold skin. It wouldn't be difficult for him to survive in this weather.
"Turn on your phone, Em. Your mom was hell worried about you." Elizabeth said.
"Wrong. You must have told her about your plan," I taunted.
"We did," Silver slanted her gaze at me through the rearview mirror.
"Still, she was hell worried. You're not a good daughter. You made her cry. She wasn't going to stop you." Elizabeth said.
"I don't know what to trust. You all hide things. I'm not strong like you all but I can defend myself." I said.
"You are the one. Who doesn't wanna punch her opponent in the class? What do you expect from them?" Silver asked.
"Not at least lies or hiding truth. They consider me weak. Okay, I am." That was true. I wouldn't survive more than a few seconds in front of a wolf.
Elizabeth sniffed the air, "You're feeling sad and you hate it." She said looking at me
"Ah!" I shoot my brows up, "Thank you for telling me my feelings. So generous of you." I flattened my lips, holding myself to not glare at her.
"Stop mocking us," Silver said.
"Why don't you advise me then?" I retorted.
"You're so rude, girl." Elizabeth widened her eyes in shock.
"I'm so grateful to know," I refused to look at them.
It went silent after that and I was thankful for it. It lasted for a few seconds. Elizabeth cranked up the volume, singing a song along. I sighed. Instead of my anger, I concentrated on lyrics and it kept the despair and panic from settling in.
After fifteen minutes of driving, Silver pulled the car in front of an old-looking motel, "Here, we're." She said with a warm smile at us.
I ignored. I was really pissed with them. I got out of the car and looked back at the wooden structure. It wasn't any expensive place, but a simple place, the wood wasn't painted either.
"Take a quick shower. And don't think about running away. There are guards." Elizabeth said, walking toward the stairs of the motel.
I darted my gaze around. I could see bodybuilders.
"They're the best at their jobs," Edward said, stopping behind Elizabeth, removing his glasses.
"Thanks for letting me know, beast." I snapped. He wasn't looking like a beast but a model.
Elizabeth gasped. Silver's eyes widened.
Alessandro smirked, "Don't get mad at them, Emma, " He shook his head, resting his chiseled forearms on the hood of the Jeep as he leaned at one side. My life was screwed enough without getting mixed up with a gang of bad teenagers.
"Where's the room?" I asked with a deep frown.
Elizabeth didn't warn me before pulling me toward her. I stumbled but I balanced myself before falling.
My gaze wandered around as she pulled me like a damaged truck. Nothing was particular about this place. Everything reminded me of our old house.
"This is our room. Their washroom," Elizabeth said, opening the door.
Confusion marred my brows. I glanced back and then back at the room. The view was quite different. On the other side of the door, the luxury was welcoming me. Red carpets, a large bed with tempting puffy pillows and mattress, couched, it was simple but full of luxury. I walked in and she turned to the door, giving me privacy.
"Bet!" She stopped and glanced at me, "I hate to snap at you and Silver," I said
"I know." She nodded with a smile and closed the door behind her.
I showered quickly with warm water. My friends were already in the room waiting for me with breakfast. From the taste I could tell, mom made these sandwiches, she must have packed a lot of things.
"Ready?" Elizabeth asked.
The knock on the door stopped me. Edward and Alessandro walked in the room without asking for permission. I stared at them, "Why are they here?" I snapped,
Alessandro raised his eyebrows with a slight tilt of his head.
"We'll go where our mates will go." Edward snapped back.
"You don't need to come. You can take her back." I said.
Elizabeth slapped my arm. I felt the stings. I held myself from rubbing my hand over the stinging place, "Just sit down and don't speak anything." She said and turned to them, "You two, too."
They shrugged their shoulders and nodded, without moving from their spot.
Elizabeth rubbed her first two fingers and thumb together. A white glow sparkled between her fingers. She lifted her hand and brought the sparkle over my head. My gaze followed her hand. A smile curved my lips. The glittering spark was falling over me like snowflakes. It sparked brighter when they touched my skin.
"Now you can speak," She smiled proudly.
"What did you do? It looked amazing," I asked.
"It will protect your wolf from the effect of curse while we're out of the academy." She said.
Who could do this to me? I nodded my head when I felt her gaze on me.
"We should go now." Alessandro said.
I got on my feet immediately. I grabbed my backpack and slid the phone into my jeans pocket. I went out with them.
"We're going together. In the same car," Silver said.
"Can we leave Edward behind?" I asked.
Elizabeth turned to me. Instead, her gaze locked behind me. Edward passed through my side, giving me a deadly look. I narrowed my eyes on him. His Alpha spell wouldn't work on me.
"Em," Elizabeth placed her hand over my arm.
"What's wrong with him?" I pressed my teeth together, wrinkling my lips.
"They'd give me a heart attack." Elizabeth said dramatically, looking at her mate and me.
I sauntered over to the car. Edward already had the engine running. Alessandro was holding a compass and a map was lying in his lap. I got in next to Elizabeth. The heater was pumping hot air. I shivered as my body defrosted. I was not used to anyone putting my needs before their own. Sometimes, I didn't know how to deal with Elizabeth and Silver's care. They treated me like a delicate doll. Humans could be strong too. Not strong like them, but they could.
"We're heading south," Alessandro said.
"Where's Burt?" I asked when I couldn't see him.
"He's driving behind us with the guards," Alessandro said.
I stopped turning when I heard another roar of the engine. I stared ahead out of the window astounded by the beautiful sight of the jungle.
Silver peered my way, "Let me know if you're not feeling well." She said.
"Thanks, doctor," I mocked, "But you should stop this. I'm going to die without him. Anyway." I rubbed the side of my eyebrow.
"We should meet my grandma. She could have told us a lot about your curse,"
"Can she break it?" I asked.
"Yes, we can ask her. I should text her." She said. She took out her phone. Her fingers stopped working, her gaze locked with Edward.
"Ah, talking in your heads." I chuckled.
Edward shot me a look, "That's not your business," He said.
"Yes, you're right. This," I circled my index finger, "Isn't your business, Mr. Morris. See! Still, you're here."
He bared his teeth at me at the insult.
"Edward," Alessandro said in his Alpha commanding voice.
Edward cursed in Spanish and slammed his hand over the steering wheel, "I hate you," It slipped from my mouth before I could hold it.
Edward looked at me and peered away immediately. He tightened his grip on the wheel.
"You did not mean it," Elizabeth chuckled.
"She's just frustrated and angry," Silver joined Elizabeth, "Edward is irking her."
I pushed myself away and hugged my knees pulling them up. I was feeling alone, empty. He was the reason. I swallowed the lump in my throat. I reined the tears before they could pool in my eyes. I could imagine his forest green eyes, the eyes pulled me in until I forgot everything else. Fate chose him as my mate. Other half of my soul.
I pulled my hair back from my forehead. I closed my eyes. I didn't want them to smell my emotions. I was feeling low. But there was a hope which was a deadly thing.
My shoulders bunched with tension. I tipped my head a little to peer out. The day went by traveling. We hardly stopped in our way. Alessandro and Edward drove on shifts. It was getting dark outside. The view was breathtaking outside. The mountains in front of me were looking almost blue under the dim light.
'Now I know why it is called the Blue Mountains. The peaks are covered with snow.'
It was six o'clock. A growl rumbled deep in Edward's chest. He looked at Alessandro and reached to open the door.
"We're in their territory. He must have told them about our arrival." My words stopped him.
"Stay in the car, girls," Alessandro said as he opened the door.
A group of six vampires was blocking our car's path. The leader moved ahead as Edward and Alessandro strode toward them.
They started to talk, "Can you tell what they are saying?" I asked.
"No, Edward is raging. He wanted to kill them." Elizabeth said.
"They don't look dangerous," Silver muttered.
I rolled the window down, just a crack. I tried to hear, "Do they have a brilliant hearing?" I asked them
"Yes," They nodded.
"Can you go into your mate' head and try to hear?" I asked.
They laughed at me, "You're not crazy. But you sound like one today,"
The sound of a tap came from my side, "They wanna talk to you," Alex said.
I slanted a glance at the teenage boys. Though, they were not. God knew when they turned into a deadly, blood-sucking vampire.
