Silence spread and it felt uncomfortable. All exchanged glances. Sap seemed unaffected by her blunt talk. She was talking about my death. And I was right in front of her. I moved toward the near bookcase. I wanted to shout that I was still alive and present in the hall. The ping in my chest was going to disturb me. I was going to die soon. Great! Every adventure was telling me new things about myself. Well! Death would be better than getting blind in a barbaric way. But I was glad they weren't staring at my eyes.
"Sorry, sometimes she doesn't know what she's saying. But she doesn't mean that." Teal said as she slid closer to me.
"It's okay. I had faced worse." I smiled at her.
She let out a slow breath and nodded her head, "We're happy to help you."
"Thank you so much," I lifted my chin and stared up at the ceiling. My mouth gaped in shock, "Oh God!" I said in astonishment.
Teal giggled and looked up at the blue sky, "This isn't an ordinary library. It's known to protect itself and is a beautiful place to read." She said.
"I would like to relax here instead of reading," Justice said and winked at Teal. Justice was a tall boy with not very bulky muscles. Teenage kids! His mature look killed the teenage part.
Oh! They're a couple. So nice!
I smiled and moved back holding the book. I didn't want to disturb them.
Sandy hit Justice with a book on his back, "Dude, we're here to find the book. Hurry, we need to save the world." He said. He must be five feet eight inches tall, his chest and shoulders were broad, he seemed to be a gym lover.
"Yeah! Yeah!" Justice smirked and turned to books.
I was glad to be here. It was a good distraction from my problems. My eyes rested on little pops of colourful flowers and plants. They were so beautiful. I felt like I was in heaven. I could see golden dust around the flowers. The library was alive. I could feel it. The air around some thick leather tome shimmered like glitter.
My hand extended to grab a book. I clearly saw my bracelet, "Carlos," His name came out as a squeal.
He spun to me, still holding the book, his eyebrows pulled together in confusion, "Emma?"
"My bracelet," I said, holding up my arm.
"It's a magical bracelet which shows up when danger is around," Sap repeated the words from my mind.
Carlos sniffed the air, "There's no danger, Em. You're safe with me," he said.
"Bracelets never lie. Maybe the danger is about to come." Maggie said, adjusting her thick glasses with the heel of her palm, "We're the best witches, don't worry." Sap said with a soft smile.

The thought of facing demons sent a chill down my spine. I stared at the bracelet. Then I looked around. Everything was looking so peaceful. It didn't make sense.
Something else caught my gaze. A black glitter shimmered in the air. I sprinted ahead and forward my fingers to touch the dark leather tome. I forced myself to look away from the book. I couldn't. I tried to push my hand back. I couldn't. I felt my body moving against my desire. It was calling for me.
"Emma, stop. It could be dangerous." I heard Sap's loud voice from behind me.
Carlos grasped my hand, "What's this?" He asked, pulling me away from it.
"Someone bewitched it." Sap replied, sounding shocked.
"It's impossible," Sandy muttered.
"It's a wizard world. Nothing is impossible. Your bracelet was trying to tell you danger. You shouldn't stay here. Come." Teal said and spun to the door.
"How could you be so sure?" I couldn't stop looking at the dark sparks. It seemed bad but I couldn't push the attraction away.
"Because it found you." I heard Teal.
"Stop, looking at it," Carlos shook me so hard that my gaze broke from the sight and I stared at his eyes. He pulled me toward the door.
Sandy, Maggie paced out of the library. We were right behind them. The door shut with a thud. I screamed jumping back.
"What the heck is this?" Justice said, his voice was heavier than usual.
My pulse kicked into overdrive. It was the scariest sight when I turned to look back. The beauty of the library was faded and replaced with dark trees, barren land. I couldn't see the premises of the library. We were in the dark woods. The light of the day disappeared. I glanced up and found a perfect crescent moon, spreading enough light off it to make us see things.
"A dark witch did this," Teal muttered.
"What's happening?" Carlos snarled.
"I'm thinking the same shit, brother." Justice stepped closer to his friends as there was no door now.
"I can't see any portal around us." I blinked my eyes, peering around. A dark and huge shadow fell over us. My eyes jerked up. My eyes widened. I felt heat in the air. Before I could squeal and grab his attention, Carlos clamped his hand over my mouth.
"Dragon," Sap whispered.
It was as dark as midnight. It must have been fifteen feet or more. Its wings were stretched up and over its head, blocking the moonlight.
"We have to get out of this place before he notices us." Sap said.
"Yes, if you know the path, " Justice frowned, whispering in a slow voice.
The enormous creature flew away from us, "We're in dragon's territory." Teal spoke.
"You must be kidding me. Can it shift?" I asked, looking up at the sky.
"I don't wanna find out. Let's get out of here." Justice said.
"How did we come here?" Carlos asked.
"Dark Witch. I don't know how she managed to come here and enchant? She lives in dark wood." Teal said.
"She's looking for you," Sap said, looking in my eyes.
Whenever she opened her mouth. She frightened me. I gulped in dread, "You should stop scaring me," I muttered, looking away from her intense eyes.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to." She adjusted her glasses.
"I have nothing to do with her," I muttered
"Oh! You don't know how precious you are." Sap opened her mouth once again to scare me.
"Sap! You're not helping." Teal stared at her.
"Alright, I'm not going to say anything." Sap said.
I pressed my lips together, "I'm not precious," I told her and strutted forward. The air was spooky and with her sharp tongue, it seemed very frightful.
I was yanked away from the back and pushed near the tree. I glanced up following all gazes. The dragon returned, his eyes were bright red. His wings twitched and flapped as he landed on the top of the hill. He shook his head, and puffs of smoke billowed out of his nose.
It scared the hell out of me. I pushed my body closer to the thick trunk of the tree.
"Hold my hand," Justice said.
My heart was running in my chest. I extended my hand and grasped his hand so tightly. I wasn't bothered to ask him why.
In the next blink, I was back in the library.
"I should inform Dean?" Justice said, leaving my hand. He rushed to the door. He hesitated but took a long stride out.
I inhaled a deep breath as I didn't realize I was holding my breath when we stepped out.
"Are you okay, Emma?" Teal asked.
I nodded my head. My gaze caught the dark leather tome. The sparkling increased and it burst into the air, it threw the book into the air and it tore into thousands of tiny pieces. The part of my brain seemed to shut off. My pulse quickened, "What's this?" I asked.
"We broke the spell," Sap whispered, still in shock.
I was staring at her, "Why am I precious? You know everything about me, indeed everyone." I swiped my gaze on Carlos.
He returned the gaze but didn't utter a word.
Sap glanced at Teal, her expression was nervous.
"I need to know what's happening to me? Why am I cursed?" I never dared to ask this. Never.
"You're cursed by a powerful Queen." Sap flashed a smile but it wasn't reaching her eyes.
"Why would she do this to me? I don't remember crossing anyone's path who could do this to me.' I said.
" I don't know. But, Yes, you're precious more than any jewel or anything in this entire world. There's a poem my grandma used to tell me." She paused, "
