Mia expected the flight to Sicily to be long and maybe a little boring but to her surprise, it was the exact opposite. As promised, Colton didn't leave her side except to use the bathroom so She had nothing to be afraid of.
They had food, drinks, snacks and made conversations most of the time. One of the things Mia loved about Colton was the fact that they were never out of topics to talk about. They were both great conversationalists and she loved the fact that Colton was a good listener.
At first, She was afraid of letting out her opinions around him, scared that he might not always find sense in everything she said because he was older, experienced, and way smarter than her but fortunately, that was not the case. Colton had never for once made Mia feel less about herself. He respected her opinion as well as he respected her as an individual.
Though they didn't do anything dirty on the plane, Mia enjoyed a lot of cuddles and kisses from Colt and there was nothing better than falling asleep under his stare, with his arms possessively wrapped around her.
The nine hours flight came to an end when she felt a familiar set of lips on hers. "Wake up, sweetheart. We will be landing shortly." He said in between kisses.
Mia smiled, returning his kiss. "That was so fast."
"Yup!" Colt said, helping her up from the bed.
"Did you get any sleep at all?" She couldn't help but ask.
"No."
"Why?" She stopped in her tracks to look at him. They were on their way to take their seats.
"You were so beautiful that I couldn't take my eyes off you. Besides, someone had to look over you." He said with a small smile.
"You're spoiling me too much, Colt. How did you find me so interesting to look at? I think I slept for over an hour, thirty minutes. All those times watching me?"
"Yes, my love." He leaned closer to her, placing a quick kiss on her lips.
"Lying next to you, watching you sleep, showering you with kisses, and thinking about what the beautiful future holds for us is now one of my hobbies." He caressed her cheek. "You were so peaceful while you slept. I was surprised too when I was informed that we would be landing soon. Didn't know that so much time had passed."
"We should go sit our asses down. We don't want the pilot to be mad at us. Do we?"
"Of course not." She answered immediately.
Once they got to their seats, Colton buckled Mia up, placed a long kiss on her forehead, then settled down beside her.
Soon enough, they landed and were on their way out of the jet. They were by the exit when an air hostess stopped them. She handed the sweater she was holding to Colton.
"Thanks, Bea." He said then turned to Mia. "It's a bit chilly outside and as your man, your future husband, and the father of our future children, it's my duty to keep my sweetheart warm and protected." He said as he wore the sweater for her.
"What an introduction!" She blushed. "This is so thoughtful of you. Thanks, babe."
The sweater was one with a front zipper. Once he was done doing the zipper, he placed a kiss on Mia's lips. "You're welcome, my love."
He intertwined his hand with hers and led her out of the multi-million dollar private jet.
"Welcome to Sicily, babes. I promise to make your stay worthwhile." Colt said as they proceeded to the car waiting for them.
"Thanks love. I'm excited for what Sicily holds for us. I can't wait to make memories."
He kissed the side of her forehead. "Same here, sweets. Can't wait to make memories, can't wait to make babies."
Mia blushed. "Don't scare me away, Colt."
He looked at her, concerned. "What do you mean? I thought you said you were ready."
"I am, but one at a time. You mentioned 'babies'. You're making it sound like you want a hundred of them at the same time."
Colton smiled in relief. He released their hands and put a hand over her shoulder. "Of course it's going to be one at a time. I just want to have many of them with you."
"Oh, then prepare your mind to quit your job because we will have our hands full." She said,
Colton chuckled. "We shall see!"
The ride from the airport to where they would be staying was a fun one. Colton did not fail to notice the excitement in Mia's eyes as she looked through the window, out into the beautiful streets of Sicily. Since it was midnight, she couldn't see much but she was wowed with the little she saw. This was her first international trip and Colton was determined to make it memorable. And of course, being a part of the Royals, he had no doubt that she would be visiting a lot of countries soon.
After what felt like forever, they got to the best vacation home in San Vito lo Capo, Sicily. It was very modern, quite new, very beautiful and close to the beach.
While someone took their bags in. Colton got down from the car and helped Mia out. After admiring the surroundings for a while, She spoke. "This place is breathtaking, Colton. Thank you for bringing me here. I'm not used to seeing and being in an exquisite environment but I'm trying to get used to it, " she said, remembering her jaw was literally on the floor when she entered his private jet.
Colt smiled. "I'm glad you're trying to get used to it, babe. You will be more wowed when you see the inside. Come, let me give you a tour." With his hand on the small of her back, he led her into their temporary home.
It was a bungalow building; a bit spacious, a master bedroom(ensuite), kitchen, living/dining area, an extra bathroom close to the living area, an indoor as well as an outdoor pool area which gave a view of the beach that wasn't too far away.
"So, I was saving the best part for the last. Please close your eyes." Colt said. They were standing right outside the only bedroom in the house.
Mia arched her brow. "Just to see the bedroom?"
"Yes, please, now close your eyes." He smacked her ass.
Playfully rolling her eyes at him, She did just as he said. Mia felt Colton hold her hand and led her through the door he opened. Shutting the door behind him, he spoke. "You can now open your eyes.
