Alpha's Redemption: A Second Chance Mate

Chapter 67: Taking Care Of Everything Once And For All

Ch. 67 / 70 Jan 22, 2025

Darian's Point Of View

"Hi Ciara, you called for me," I said to Ciara once I came inside her room.

"Yes, Darian, I called for you," she said to me before keeping the book she was holding.

"Please take a seat," she said to me while pointing at one of the wooden chairs. Without hesitating, I walked to the chair and sat down.

"I never knew you used to read," I said to her after sitting down.

"Because you have never seen me read doesn't mean that I don't read," she said to me before adjusting herself to the chair she was sitting on.

"Yes, you are right about that. By the way, why did you call me?" I asked her.

"Well, since you reconciled with your mate and your brother, we haven't gotten the time to discuss as we used to," she said to me. t

"Actually, it's just that recently, I have been occupied with my quest to find a way to get rid of Luciana and the supreme Alphas in order to reclaim my pack," I said to her, and she nodded.

"It's quite understandable; I hope you have found a means to get rid of her." She asked me, and I shook my head negatively.

"But if it were before, you could have already run to me, pleading with me to" help you out," she said to me.

"Well, that's true; I was thinking about coming to ask you if you have found any means," I said to her.

"But you haven't asked me yet, so I will patiently wait for when you come and ask me," she said to me, and immediately I frowned at her.

"Come on, Ciara, must you always punish me before doing something for me? Remember, I have already rescued Elena; normally, you are supposed to start treating me fairly like your own son," I said to her with a deep frown.

"Says who?" She asked me with an inquisitive look.

"It's true that you have already found Elena, and you even went to the extent of winning her heart, but after everything she has been through, she isn't yet living the kind of life that she deserves, I mean, that of a Luna," she said to me.

"That's what I want for her too, but how can I do that when Luciana and the supreme Alphas are still ruling over my pack?" I asked her, and immediately she sighed heavily.

"Well, I have found some ways to defeat Luciana, but as usual, it's risky," she said to me.

"Since I left my pack to search for Elena, I have done many risky things; some of the things I did almost cost my life, but gladly I'm still alive, so just tell me how to get rid of Luciana; I will gladly give it a try, and I will also try to stay alive while doing it," I said to her, and she nodded in reply.

"Every witch has a book called The Book of Spells; half of their power lies in that book; to defeat Ciara, you will have to steal the book," she said to me.

"Is that all?" I asked her, and she smiled at me.

"With the way you asked that question, one would think that stealing the book is going to be an easy task. Tell me, if you had a book that held half of your ability as a werewolf, would you allow someone to touch it or would you keep it where someone can reach it?" she asked me, and I shook my head negatively.

"So don't think that stealing Luciana's book is going to be an easy task, and if by any mistake, she finds you while you are trying to steal it, I'm sure you already know what that means for you?" She asked me, and I nodded.

"Is there no other way less dangerous?" I asked her.

"Yes, I have a powder that can render her powerless for at least ten to fifteen minutes; if you succeed in killing her in that interval, then you are lucky, but if you fail to kill her in that interval of fifteen minutes and she regains her powers, then you are gone," she said to me.

"Seriously? I thought the second way was going to be less dangerous and much easier." I asked her, and she scoffed at me.

"Nothing is easy in this world, so which of the two options are you going for?" She asked me.

As I was about to reply, she immediately signaled me to wait. Through her facial expression, I could already tell that she was discussing something with someone through the mind link. Just a few seconds later, she sprang up from the chair, her eyes widening in surprise.

"Is everything okay?" I asked her.

"No, some soldiers from your pack and Blood Moon are approaching; you already know what that means." She asked me.

"They want to attack us first; what do you suggest we do?" I asked her.

"This is your opportunity to take care of Luciana. I will teleport Elena and your pup to my brother's pack and also ask for his assistance. Meanwhile, I have a means to teleport you directly to Wolfenwood Pack. I hope that's okay with you," she asked me.

"Yes, I think it's time to put an end to all these once and for all," I said to her, and at the same time, the door burst open, and immediately Elena ran inside the room with Richard, fright written all over her face.

Once she came in, I ran towards her and hugged her tightly.

"The guards said that there are many soldiers approaching; what are we going to do?" She asked me.

"No need to worry; Ciara will take you and Richard to her brother's pack," I said to her.

"What about you? Aren't you coming along?" She asked me, and I shook my head negatively.

"For the meantime, no, but I will join you guys later," I said to her.

"But..." She tried to protest, but I placed my finger on her lips.

"I'm going to be fine; I will join you guys as soon as possible, I promise," I said to her with a warm smile. With that, I kissed her on the forehead before caressing Richard's hair.

"Remember what you promised," she said to me, and at the same time, tears started forming in her eyes. Without hesitating, I wiped them away before kissing her passionately.

"I will be back even before you notice it," I said to her reassuringly, and she nodded in reply while fighting back her tears.

"Here's the powder," Ciara said to me afterwards while handing me a little recipient containing a small amount of powder.

Afterwards, she drew two circles on the ground and some figures inside.

When she was done, she asked me to stand in the middle of the first circle while she stood in the middle of the second with Elena.

"Once I snap my fingers, we will all be going in our different directions. I hope you are ready for this?" She asked me, and I nodded.

"Take care then, and make sure you return as soon as possible, just as you have promised," she said to me before snapping her fingers, and immediately I vanished.
