Darian's Point of View
It's been a month since we returned to Wolfenwood Pack, and I must admit that since all this time, things have been getting better with each passing day. It's true that when we came back, there were many things we had to work on; the pack was already in disarray, and the pack members had already suffered terribly because of it. Both the supreme Alphas and Luciana had exploited the pack and its resources for their own personal interests without worrying about the pack members. It was thanks to Richard and Adrian that I was able to restore everything back to normal, including repairing the damages caused in the pack.
As for Ciara and her brother Dexter, I had assigned some of my territories to them, where they started living with their pack members. I also restored to Adrian all his father's territories I had confiscated in the past, and the remaining ones that belonged to Alpha Benson, I gave to Ciara, Dexter, and their pack members.
Meanwhile, today is our coronation day. It's today that I'm going to mark Elena as my mate before the whole pack members and also coronate her as the Luna of Wolfenwood Pack. I had invited Richard, Ciara, Dexter, and Adrian. These people were more than friends to me; they were families to me, and I can't celebrate a joyous occasion like this one without inviting them over.
To me everything just seems like a dream, if someone had told me that a day was coming when I was going to be excited because I wanted to mark a shewolf in the name of mate, I would never have believed it, right from the start, I had always viewed mates as burdens and weaknesses, something that your enemies would always use against you and that was why I never wanted to have one, I never even dreamed of having one, but today I can't believe that I'm so excited because I'm finally going to mark Elena as my mate, even though the supreme Alphas and Luciana caused me many tribulations, I will forever be grateful to them for forcing me to have a mate and experiencing what true love is, unfortunately they aren't here so that I can thank them personally, too bad for them.
As these thoughts were running through my mind, Elena, who was lying beside me, tightened her hand around my waist while pretending to be sleeping. After looking at her for some minutes, I smiled at her before shaking my head in disbelief.
"Elena, are you trying to squeeze the whole oxygen in my body out?" I asked her as she was still tightening her hand around me, but she remained silent while pretending to be sleeping.
"Elena, I know you aren't sleeping; stop squeezing me like that; I'm not a pillow," I said to her, but she remained while tightening her grips around my waist.
"After looking at her for some time, I tightened my hand around her waist too, and immediately she widened her eyes before pulling away.
"You are planning to kill me so that you can mark another mate, right?" She asked me with a deep frown, and immediately I widened my eyes in surprise.
"What makes you think that I'm trying to kill you on the same day that I want to mark you as my mate?" I asked her with furrowed brows.
"If you aren't trying to kill, then why are you tightening me in such a way?" She asked me while frowning at me.
"But you started it first," I said to her with a surprised tone.
"That's not true; I was feeling cold; that's why I held you, but you tried to squeeze me to death," she said to me while frowning deeply.
"Okay, I'm sorry. Are you happy now?" I asked her.
"No, I'm not; the sorry didn't come from your heart," she said to me, and I sighed heavily.
"My mate, my Luna, my one and only, my sweetheart, I'm sorry," I said to her, and immediately she pouted her mouth before smiling at me.
"Are you still angry?" I asked her.
"Just a little bit, can I hold you now?" She asked me while feigning to be angry.
"Yes, if that makes you happy," I said to her, and immediately she smiled at me before pulling closer to me, tightening her hand around me, and laying her head on my chest.
Meanwhile, I remained silent while staring at her as she was squeezing me around like a pillow. The only thing I could pray for was for something to happen so that she would leave me alone and stand up.
Suddenly, Richard, who was lying in his layer, started crying. Without hesitating, she left me and stood up in order to carry him. Without hesitating, I sprang up from the bed and ran into the bathroom.
After some minutes, I came out and sat down beside her before kissing her cheeks, and afterwards, I kissed Richard too.
"Don't you think we should start preparing for the coronation? The Pack members will be here soon," I said to her.
"Yes, I think you are right; you can go and start preparing. Let me bathe Richard first, and afterwards I will start preparing too," she said to me, and I nodded.
"If you need help with anything, just let me know," I said to her before taking my towel and walking into the bathroom.
In less than an hour, we were already dressed and ready for the event. From our rooms, we could already hear the music being played outside and the voices of the pack members who were discussing among themselves.
Once we were done, we started heading towards the outside where the event was going to take place. As we were coming out in our royal attire, one of the guards quickly announced to everyone that we were already coming out, and immediately everywhere became silent. The only thing that could be heard was the sound of the music being played.
Once we came out, everyone started cheering, including Richard Adrian, the sons of Ciara, and Ciara, who was waiting for us in the front.
Once we reached where Ciara was, we knelt down before her, and she blessed us. Subsequently, we did the necessary rituals before proceeding to the marking.
Approaching my mouth towards Elena's neck, my canines elongated and pierced into her neck, creating a permanent mark on her neck.
With that, everyone started cheering once again.
Looking around, I could clearly remember everything that had happened the past few months, how Elena ran away from the Pack due to my mistreatment, how I went in search of her after discovering that she was my mate, everything we both went through in the forest, the betrayal from the supreme Alphas and my rival Alphas, receiving help and support from people who I never imagined would help me, and after everything here we are again, where everything began, if I had treated Elena with respect right from the beginning none of us would have suffered what we had suffered in the forest, despite everything, I'm happy that we are back to Wolfenwood Pack and everyone is happy, and the evil people have been gotten rid of, the only thing I pray for is for us to continue being happy in this way including those who love us and are ready to risk their lives for us.
