Chapter 64: Offering His Assistance (1)

After a tough training session with Richard and his soldiers, I went to freshen up before meeting with him in the court chamber, where I knew he would be.

Actually, since Richard risked his powers to bring me back to life, both of us have become very close. I spend most of my free time at his palace, except when I decide to spend it with Elena and Richard, my pup, or when I have something to do for Ciara, like training with her soldiers.

After freshening up, I wore the new clothes that the maid had given me before heading to the court chamber.

As I was heading to the court chamber, I could see how the maids were looking at me seductively, but I ignored them, knowing that the only thing they could do was look, but they dared not make any attempts on me. Surely they know who their Alpha is; he might look calm like a dove, but in reality, he's a devil, and if he hears that they made any attempts on his junior brother, he won't hesitate before getting rid of them.

Once I got into the court chamber, I saw Richard sitting on his throne, sipping the wine he was holding. Once his guards saw me, they bowed their heads a little bit in sign of respect.

"Hey bro, the attire you are putting on really looks good on you," he said to me once I entered the court chamber.

"No wonder your maids kept on drooling over me," I muttered to myself.

"Did you say something?" He asked me.

"No, of course," I said to him brusquely.

"Ok, do you drink?" He asked me before taking a sip of his wine.

"Yes, of course. How can a grown up like me not be drinking?" I asked him.

"Well, I can never tell," he said to me before motioning his maid to serve me the wine. Without hesitating, she filled one of the cups with the wine and brought it to me.

"Thank you," I said to her before collecting it from her.

"So, brother, what do you think about my soldiers?" He asked me.

"Your soldiers are good as always, just like their Alpha," I said to him before taking a sip of the wine, and immediately he smiled at me.

"Well, I was already aware of that; I just wanted to confirm it," he said to me, and I rolled my eyes at him.

"I knew you were going to say something like this; I should just have lied to you; by the way, did you find out anything about how to take care of Luciana?" I asked him.

"I haven't found out anything yet; all the ways I have been hearing about are dangerous," he said to me, and I furrowed my brows at him.

"And what are these dangerous ways?" I asked him with an inquisitive look, and immediately he rolled his eyes at me before taking a sip from his drink.

"You see, big brother, one thing that I love about you is your determination; sometimes, despite knowing that I won't do something for you, you still ask for it," He said to me, and I furrowed my brows at him.

"I don't understand what you are saying," I said to him before taking a sip of my wine once again.

"Ok, let's be realistic. Do you think that after getting yourself killed while trying to recover your pack, I'm going to tell you another dangerous means by which you will recover your pack?" He asked me with furrowed brows, and immediately I sighed heavily.

"Come on, Richard, you know that I need to recover my pack at all costs; the pack members are suffering because of the bad rulership in the pack," I said to Richard in a convincing manner.

"I will advise you to worry about yourself instead of your pack members; if you were dead, I don't think you will be thinking about your pack members; just have a little patience; we will find one way or another to get you back your pack," he said to me, and I nodded in reply. At the same time, one of the guards came into the court chamber and prostrated himself before us.

"Good day, your highnesses," he greeted us while prostrating himself before us.

"Yes, Leroy, how can I help you?" Richard asked him.

"Someone is here to see you; he said his name is Adrian Alpha of Red Moo," he said to Richard, and immediately he furrowed his brows at me.

"What is he looking for?" Richard asked me.

"I don't have any idea; why don't you let him in and let him tell us what brought him here?" I said to Richard.

"Let him in," Richard said to the guard, who nodded in reply before walking out. After some minutes, he returned with Adrian.

"Good day, your highnesses," he greeted us once he came in.

"What do you want?" Richard asked him immediately.

"Come on, bro, this is not how to talk to a visitor," I said to Richard, but he rolled his eyes at me.

"Please have a seat," I said to him, and immediately he sat down on one of the couches.

"Do you drink?" I asked him, and he nodded. With that, I asked one of the maids to serve him the wine. Meanwhile, Richard kept on shooting me icy glares, but I ignored him.

"To begin, I'm sorry for killing your father, but he left me no choice," I said to him after the wine was served to him.

"I understand your highness; I confronted Alpha Benson and found out that he was the one who dragged my father into his mess, but that's not an excuse for my father; he wasn't a child, so he knew the difference between what's good and bad," he said to me.

"I'm happy to hear that; it's a relief to know that you are different from your father, and next time, don't allow someone to drag you into his mess just as Alpha Benson tried to do to you," I said to him.

"Alright, your highness, sorry for attacking your mate too," he said to me.

"No problems, so what brought you here?" I asked him.

"Actually, I wanted to inform you that I want to assist you in destroying Alpha Benson and his pack," he said to me.

"What!!!" Richard exclaimed in surprise.
