Richard's point of view
It was almost midnight, and I had already retired to my bed. For a reason unknown to me, I just couldn't fall asleep. I kept on tossing on the bed with thousands of thoughts running through my mind.
After some minutes, I decided to do something else since I couldn't fall asleep.
Standing up from the bed, I started towards the library, where I spent most of my free time reading different types of books.
As I was on my way to the library, Darian suddenly linked with me.
"Hey Richard, Are you still awake?" Darian asked me, his voice filled with urgency.
"Yes, and why are you sounding like that? I hope everything is okay?" I asked him.
"No, the pack is under attack; Benson, the Alpha of the Dark Moon Pack, who kidnapped Elena when she was in your pack, is the one behind the attack," he said to me.
"Damn him, just hold him down; I will be there soon," I said to him before running towards the soldier's quarter.
"Actually, I'm not in the pack right now," he said to me.
"And where the hell are you? What about Elena and Richard?" I asked him.
"Elena and Richard are fine; Ciara left the pack with them; as for me, I'm in Wolfenwood pack, I have an unfinished business to take care of," he said to me.
"What!!" Don't tell me you went after Luciana again," I said to him.
"That's exactly what I'm doing; this time around, I'm going prepared, unlike the other time. Take care of the Alpha Benson and let me take care of her," he said to me.
"Darian, you are really unpredictable; just be careful out there and mind you, I'm not going to sacrifice my life or my powers to save you again," I said to him.
"You won't need to do that; just do your own part; I'm counting on you," he said to me before cutting off the link.
"Damnit," I muttered to myself before rushing to the soldier's quarter. Once they saw me, they immediately organized themselves, and at the same time, those that were asleep quickly awakened.
"Let's move; we have a war to fight," I said to them as they were busy putting on their war suits and picking up the weapons.
After some minutes, we were all ready. Without hesitating, we shifted into our wolf forms and started heading towards Ciara's pack. In less than twenty minutes, we were already in the pack, but the scene in the pack wasn't good; dead bodies had already filled everywhere, especially that of Ciara's soldiers.
From where I was, I growled angrily in order to get Alpha Benson's attention. Once they heard my growl, they immediately turned their attention towards me, including Alpha Benson and someone who was standing beside him. When I took a proper look at the person standing beside him, I immediately recognized him; it was one of the members of the Supreme Alpha, and what was strange about all of them was the fact that they all had a red cross marked on their foreheads.
Once Darian and Ciara's soldiers saw us, they immediately retreated to our side.
"Welcome, your highness; Alpha Darian, Ciara, and Alpha Darian's mate are nowhere to be found," one of the soldiers said to me.
"Don't worry about them; they are fine; they have left to take care of the main problem, and they are counting on us to withhold back the soldiers that are here so that they won't prevent them from accomplishing their mission," I said to them, and they nodded.
"How is their battle strategy?" I asked them.
"Very tough, your highness; we have to be very careful; we have lost many of our soldiers, and we are also outnumbered compared to them," one of the soldiers said to me.
"The Lycan king, we meet again," Alpha Benson said to me with a wicked voice before ripping off the head of the soldier who was in front of him.
"You are right, Benson, we meet again. The last time we met, we didn't have the chance to do things like real men because of your cowardice. Not only did you hide your face from me, you also used black magic. I hope you aren't also using black magic today because I can clearly see it on your forehead," I said to him..
"Well, we are on a war front, and the main goal is to win the battle, so no matter how we win it, no one cares," he said to me.
"I think you are right; after all, the supreme Alphas are now under the control of a mere witch, so everyone is free to do whatever he wants, but remember this: cheaters never win," I said to him.
"Since everyone is free to do whatever he wants, I think that we are free to change that theory too; all you have to do is watch and see how cheaters win," the supreme alpha said to me.
"Ooh, is that so? Why don't you guys come and show us what you've got?" I asked them with a wicked smirk before growling at him.
"Actually, we came here for Darian, but since you want to be a stumbling block for me, come closer and let me show you what I have got," he said to me before growling at me too.
"With pleasure," I said to him before turning my gaze to my soldiers.
"Attack!!!" I cheered at my men and was about to dash towards them when some troops of soldiers started coming from the opposite side. From the look on Alpha Benson's face, I could already tell that he too didn't know who they were. Once they came closer, their Alpha came down from his horse and removed his helmet, and immediately I saw that it was Adrian.
"Alpha Benson!!! Remember when I promised you that I was going to help Alpha Darian exterminate both you and your pack? Well, it's time to keep my promise," he said to Alpha Benson, who was in shock. With that, I smiled at myself, knowing that things were about to get interesting.
"Alpha Benson!!! Your time is up; I think it's time to send you where you sent my father," he said to Alpha Benson with a wicked smirk.
"Attack!!!" He cheered, and immediately they started closing up on Alpha Benson and his soldiers.
"Attack!!!" I cheered too before dashing towards Alpha Benson with my men. .
