"I need to talk to you about Seraphina and Arzal,"
Nathan's expressions turned firm at her words, which didn't go unnoticed by her.
"I know I'm an outsider and I've no right to get involved in this but Seraphina is my best friend and Arzal is like my brother," She said and then clutched Nathan's palm in her.
"I want their happiness, just like you want your sister happy,"
Nathan scoffed and snatched his palm from her. He tore his gaze away from her.
"So he has sent you here to defend him?" He sounded cold. Nevada frowned before answering.
"Nobody has sent me here. I've come here on my own to check on your health and meet Seraphina. I thought you're soft hearted just like Seraphina but you know what you're just rude, cold and self centred," She spat at him, totally hurt and angry at his behaviour.
Nevada was about to get up but stopped hearing him.
"Then how do you expect me to behave after knowing what he has really done to my sister?" Nathan's words came out like a venom to his tongue.
"How do you expect me to understand the inhumanity he has done to her in the name of love when I know men like him could never fall in love with a girl like my Seraphina?"
Nevada sighed heavily and again sat on her seat.
"First of all, Mr Nathan Miller, Seraphina and Arzal, they both are adults, so if you're considering them having any physical contact with each other as inhumanity, then you're wrong. They both have every right to choose it for their own selves. Secondly, who the hell has told you that a certain kind of person can never fall in love with another certain kind of person?" She stated and he just stared at her.
"One of the biggest relevance of love is it has no boundaries or a damn criteria. It can happen between anyone irrespective of how different they're, how far they are from each other and even in a first glance,"
Nathan wordlessly heard her every word.
"And besides, I being a girl, especially of Seraphina's age, I know what we expect from our life partners or our lovers, especially at this age. We want him to be a person who can make our life a beautiful fairytale with his love, care and warmth for us and I've witnessed that love, care and warmth in Arzal's eyes for her," She said.
"I've seen Arzal giving that fairytale of a life to Seraphina which she might expect and especially deserves from him, just like he has called you back here to surprise her as her birthday gift because he knew Seraphina's happiness is lying in you and he gave his best to give his everything to her happiness,"
Her words couldn't be neglected at all.
"Think if Arzal is just using Seraphina then why in hell would he call you back here? He could have extended your stay there, so that you won't become a hurdle in his wrong motives but no he didn't, he took you here back, so that he could rectify the wrong things he might had done in the beginning and could give back her her happiness,"
Nathan exhaled sharply but didn't say anything. She again cupped his palm.
"And if Seraphina could have ever felt any wrong feelings from him then she would have never fallen in love with him, Nathan but she loves him. They both love each other with their everything and by being apart from one another, they both are breaking,"
Nathan heaved at her words and said.
"If he loves her so much then why didn't he even try to contact her anymore? Try to know what she is doing, how she is managing everything, all alone?"
"Because Seraphina has blamed him for your accident,"
Nathan's eyes widened at his statement.
"Seraphina had accused him that Arzal had intentionally pushed you before that car that night,"
Nathan became shocked. He didn't know about this but that wasn't the truth. Whatever Arzal had done it was the reaction of his own actions and words which he had done and said to him.
"And Arzal didn't want to make her stand at that point where she has to choose between her love and her brother, between you and him because no girl deserves this pain. She should never get pushed to the extent of choosing between that person whom she wants to grow older with and with whom she has lived her childhood. She's already hurt and Arzal don't want to hurt her anymore by making her to choose that one person which she has to choose if you don't accept their relationship,Nathan,"
Nathan went silent for a moment at the end of her confessions until his eyes unintentionally darted towards the door and he saw Seraphina standing there and the tears which were streaming down from her cheeks were the evidence of how true and honest Nevada's words were.
Seraphina wiped her eyes with the back of her palm and plastered her fake tiny beam and walked towards them
"Here's your juice, Nevada,"
Nevada took the tray from her and placed it on the table.
"Don't hide your pain, Seraphina because you both are hurting each other by staying away from one another. Arzal is also hurt and broken and you both can only end this pain of yours,"
Seraphina downcast her eyes and said nothing.
Nevada snapped her eyes at Nathan and spat, a little angrily .
"Some people really need to see the things ahead of the vision they have made up in their minds,"
Nathan understood her taunt very well. Nevada walked out from the room, leaving them alone.
"Come here, Seraphina," Nathan uttered in a cold tone, staring at her lowered head.
She gulped and stepped forward towards him.
"Sit,"
She obediently sat on the bed beside him but didn't take her eyes up.
"Do you think Mr Grayson has pushed me that night intentionally?"
She didn't reply to his question, making him sigh.
"He didn't, Seraphina. What he did was the reciprocation of the things I had said to him. I had said something very wrong to him in my anger and any person would have reacted like that the way he did," Nathan accepted his mistake because he remembered the immoral comment he had made on Arzal's mother and sister in his anger which was absolutely wrong.
That information was new to her. Now she felt more guilty for saying those things to him.
"Do you really love him, Sephi?"
His question made her freeze. She slowly took her eyes up and the tears which were staining her cheeks had screamed her answers to him.
Exhaling a heavy breath, Nathan uttered, making her startled.
"Then I think you should meet and talk to him,"
