The door of the chopper opened, letting down its stairs to touch the ground. The first one to come out from it was Seraphina, who looked like she was controlling her breathing until now. Her face had flushed. Her hairs, messed up. Her body was jiggling.
Seraphina hurriedly tried to get down the stairs but her bobbling feet stumbled. She was about to trip, if not for that arm to get wrapped around her waist.
"Easy there, my kitten,"
Seraphina huffed and placed her head on his chest.
"I'm not getting on this chopper ever again," She breathed out, panting.
Arzal tucked her hair strand away from her face, behind her ear and held her securely.
"I didn't know you've airsickness, Sera or else I would've never planned this,"
She weakly sighed and smiled at him.
"It's okay because I have never been on a plane before," She told him. Arzal pecked her lips.
"You love birds, start flying because there are normal humans on the cue, who wants to step down from this chopper,"
The couple stretched their heads and saw Evelyn smirking at them, along with Nicklaus. Arzal chuckled whereas Seraphina beamed too, until her eyes trailed at Nevada, who was behind Evelyn. She was still looking sad. Seraphina had noticed that Nevada had been totally quiet during their entire journey.
Seraphina sighed and then stepped down the stairs, followed by everyone.
"Oh my goodness, is this place real?" Evelyn's eyes looked like they were going to pop out, watching that place before her.
Seraphina was also stunned and mesmerised by watching that beautiful stilt house, which was on the toppest peak of the hills. They were at the top of that beautiful hill and the scenario was endearing.
Seraphina forgot about her sickness and looked at that house like a kid to his favourite toy. Arzal smiled at her reaction and whispered in her ear.
"Welcome to our new home, where we're going to stay till tomorrow,"
Seraphina snapped her eyes and looked at him extremely happy and excited. Arzal held her hand and spoke.
"Ok everyone, let's get inside," And everyone went inside that house.
"The weather is more chilled here," Evelyn commented, rubbing her arms.
"Use your blind eyes to see that you are on the top of a hill," Nicklaus taunted her, sipping on his coffee.
Seraphina giggled at their bickering, who was sitting with Arzal on a sofa, before the fireplace. She warmed her palms and then cupped his face to tell him how warm they had turned.
Arzal beamed and brushed their noses.
"Hey! Where's Nathan, Seph?" Evelyn asked.
"Nate has gone to the washroom," She replied.
"And where is Nevada?" Nicklaus asked, gaining Evelyn's attention at him.
"She has gone to her room to rest, as she was feeling very tired after the travel,"
Nicklaus nodded at Evelyn but her words didn't buy Seraphina.
"There's not something right with Neva. I've even noticed it, today," She uttered, worried.
"I know something is troubling her but she's not telling any of us about it,"
Arzal exhaled, firmly and replied.
"Then I think we should talk to her and ask her what's wrong,"
Seraphina nodded and got up from the sofa.
"Let's go. We've to help her before it started bothering her more,"
Arzal, with a beam, nodded and then looked at Nicklaus and Evelyn who were again fighting about something.
Let them on their own to kill each other, Arzal left from there with Seraphina.
They both were standing at the door of that room, where Nevada was. Seraphina was about to knock when she heard Nevada's crying voice.
Seraphina panicked and without caring for anything, she pushed open the door and got inside.
"Nevada," She said, startled and saw Nevada, who was sitting on a bed while crying and hugging a pillow.
She turned her head at Seraphina and Seraphina's eyes enlarged, watching her puffy red eyes. She immediately dashed towards her, followed by Arzal.
"Neva, what happened?" Seraphina asked, badly concerned.
Nevada wiped her eyes and shook her head.
"Nevada, stop lying and tell us, what's bothering you?" Arzal asked but she again shook her head.
Seraphina cupped Nevada's face and looked into her watery eyes.
"You call me your best friend, don't you? Then let your best friend help you, Neva. Please tell me, why are you crying? What has happened, please," Seraphina's own eyes glossed.
Nevada hugged Seraphina tightly and broke down into tears, making Seraphina more worried, along with Arzal.
Arzal caressed Nevada's head and tenderly asked.
"Did someone say something to you, Neva?"
Nevada shrugged her head, still crying and hugging Seraphina.
Seraphina took her head out from her neck and further pleaded, by holding her hand in her.
"Tell us, Nevada. What's troubling you, please?"
"Promise me, y.. you won't get angry on me, Seph," Nevada uttered in between her sons, making Seraphina confused.
"Why would I get angry with you, Neva?" She said, wiping Nevada's cheeks.
Nevada sighed before dropping the bomb on their heads by saying those words.
"I... I love Nathan,"
Seraphina's gaze bewildered, at her words. She looked at Arzal, who was looking stunned too.
"Neva... "
"Please, don't get angry with me and I'm not playing around. I really really love him," Nevada said, halting Seraphina.
"But Nevada, you've just met Nathan a week ago?" Arzal tried to put some sense into her.
"So what? I fell in love with him at first sight. You too have turned obsessed with Seraphina at first glance then how could you ask something like this to me?"
Now Arzal was speechless, at her angry comeback.
"Because obsession and love have different paths," Seraphina uttered, gaining everyone's attention towards her.
"Obsession and love might have the same destination but they follow different ways to reach that destination, Neva,"
Arzal was wordlessly staring at Seraphina, as she stated.
"Love believes in giving and sharing but obsession believes in taking and snatching only," Those words were coming out from her heart as Seraphina had lived on that fine line between obsession and love.
"An obsession which turns into love is a blessing but the love which becomes obsession is a curse,"
Arzal exactly knew what she meant because she herself was the victim of it.
"But, Seraphina, I really love him. I am genuinely in love with Nathan. I've never felt like this around anyone, except him. He made me feel so many beautiful things just by looking at me and his single word or ignorance hurts me more than anything,"
Both Arzal and Seraphina sighed.
"Does Nathan know about this?" He asked and Nevada nodded her head.
"He knew it, I like him but today when you all were in the hall, I personally talked to him and told him about my feelings but he... " Nevada's eyes again filled with tears.
"He said I'm on the verge of ruining so many relationships, in my childishness. If Nick got to know about this then his relationship with me and him will get destroyed and he didn't want things to turn bad between me and Nick,"
Arzal huffed, hearing her and said.
"Nathan is right, Nevada. If Nick got to know about this then that situation will again rise which had risen at the the time of me and Seraphina,"
Nevada shook her head, aggressively and blurted out.
"I don't know. I just know that, it's hurting me. Nathan is my first love and I can't let it away like this,"
"The f#ck did you just say, Neva?"
Everyone turned their heads, hearing that roaring voice and Nevada's heart dropped by watching Nicklaus standing at the door, who was glaring at her.
Evelyn was beside him too, who looked shocked and their expression told them that they had heard everything.
