Days passed like seconds, Seraphina had finally adjusted to her new life completely, where she had two amazing best buddies, Nevada and Evelyn, two friends like brothers, Nicklaus and Ryan. Yes, Ryan had gotten his job back and Seraphina was more than happy to know about it, especially when Ryan had come to meet her and told her that his boss had given him his job back and from that day, she was even in contact with Ryan.
Mrs Grayson, who most of the time remained away from home but whenever she was home, she showered Seraphina with a mother's affection and finally about those grey eyes evil prince of hers, Mr Arzal Grayson. He didn't just call her princess, he treated her like one. His warmth and care for her had left her speechless sometimes and overwhelmed the other moment.
Seraphina still didn't know whether he loved her or not but she knew she was falling in love with him more and more and somehow she knew he did too but hadn't just accepted it before her and Seraphina didn't want to rush things between them because she knew she meant to him more than his own self.
Everything was going rightly. She had so many loving and caring people around her but yet that part inside her had always remained uncompleted. Her brother.. The pillar of her existence.
With each passing day, she was missing him more and more. Some nights, even silent tears rolled down from her cheeks without even getting noticed by her while her heart was aching to see and hug her brother, specially right now, when tomorrow was her birthday. A day which her brother used to make the most blessed and beautiful day of her life, even when they had nothing and even when they had everything. But right now, he wasn't here. That blessing of her wasn't with her.
Seraphina sighed and wiped her warm tears from her cheeks and just continued to gaze at the beautiful shining moon at the sky.
She didn't want to celebrate her birthday without her brother because that day would always remain incomplete without his presence for her.
A knock on the door broke Seraphina's thoughts. She turned around and tried to force a smile by watching the person standing there.
"You haven't slept yet?"
Seraphina shrugged her head and watched him coming closer to her. Her smile wasn't able to mask those tears stains on her cheeks, from those grey eyes.
She beamed and turned around to look at the moon through her window.
"I had been unable to sleep, so I thought to stare at the beauty of the moon," She replied and in return, felt him wrapping his arms around her.
"Even I was unable to sleep, so I thought to come and stare at the beauty of my moon," He rasped, placing his head on her shoulder.
Seraphina beamed and wrapped her arms over his. For a while, they both remained completely quite and just felt each other's warmth.
"Sera,"
"Hmmm.. " He hummed in her response.
"Can I ask you something?" He gently whispered in her ears and she again hummed.
"Will you ever stop loving me?"
His question made Seraphina to lean back her head from his chest. She turned around and looked at him, where she noticed he was staring at her, unusually.
"Why you're asking this?" She didn't like the feeling she was getting from his words.
He sighed and held her both palms in his. He kissed that ring on her finger which he had put. Seraphina never removed that ring.
"You know the things I've done to you in the very beginning. I've taken the biggest reason of your happiness away from you,"
Seraphina just stared at him. He placed his palm over her cheek.
"In my selfishness, I've ruined your whole life by parting your brother away from you," He uttered and she couldn't understand where all of this was going.
"I've taken your home away from you, have forced you to come in my life. I've done so many unforgivable things to you but... "
"But yet I'm here, living with you, loving you and you know why?" She stopped him.
"Because maybe our beginning wasn't right. What you had done to me in the beginning was wrong but the right things you had done for me and are still doing, I can't neglect them because of your wrong doings," Seraphina answered, gazing at him.
She cupped his both hands in her.
"You have always shielded me from every bad and wrong thing. You've taken care of my life more than yours but most importantly, you've never judged me or my mentality,"
Arzal silently heard her every word.
"Before you, I used to become terrified of getting closer to any other person, except Nate because the people around me had always used to judge my mentality. I know it wasn't even their fault, I was mentally unstable and weak, so they were never able to accept me, even as a human because a 18 years old doesn't behave and think the way I used to do and even still doing,"
Seraphina sighed a heavy breath and hugged his hands.
"But you accepted me the way I was and I'm. You never tried to change me, like others. You never became fed up or frustrated while handing an 18 years old girl who behaves like a child. You never made me feel I'm different than others, just like Nate, the only person who has accepted me and protected me from the judgement of the world always," Her eyes moistuned.
"Yes, I hate you and I'll always hate for taking my brother away from me but at the same time, I love you so much that I know I will always remain incomplete without you," A tear slipped down from her eyes, as she continued to take out everything which was inside her.
"We both know if you want you could have any girl or woman you wanted for yourself. Beautiful, mature, clever but you chose to promise yourself to this 18 years toddler, who just know how to cry over everything,"
Tears quietly flew down from her cheeks but Seraphina's heart shuddered when she noticed those alluring grey orbs were even glistening, for the first time in her life.
Seraphina stepped closer to him and tiptoed to reach his face. She wrapped her palms over his cheeks. Their glossy gazes bored deeper into each other.
"After my mamma and dad had left me, my life still didn't give up on me just because of Nate and I didn't give up to my own self just because of you. You and Nate are the only two reasons, for whom I am willingly and happily living my life," She said and pecked his forehead.
"So answering your question, my brother's head boss, my sir, Mr Grayson. I can and will never stop loving you. I will stop living but I can't stop loving you,"
A lone tear fell from his eyes, at the end of her confession. Arzal immediately pulled her in his arms and caged that beautiful hearted human tightly.
Seraphina too embraced him back and closed her eyes. She knew he was crying and it hurted her even more.
They both were totally lost into one another, did not even notice how much time had gone when her phone started ringing. They both pulled back.
Seraphina grabbed her phone from the table and saw Nathan's number flashing on it.
"Nate," She told him, who was also gazing at her phone.
Seraphina rubbed her eyes and calmed herself before picking up the call.
"Hello," She answered on the phone.
"Happy birthday, my Sephi," It was already 12 in the morning, her birthday.
