"How's he, doctor?" Arzal asked, desperation and concern were lacing in his voice.
"We have done the operation but Mr Miller has gotten several vital injuries. He has lost a lot of blood, so we can't say anything before he gets back his consciousness," The doctor replied.
"And when will he wake up?" Nicklaus asked, worried.
"We can't say anything, at least for 24 hours. We're keeping him in ICU and under our observation, after that we'll able to get into some conclusions about his health condition,"
"And how's Seraphina? Is she alright?" Now there was a fear emerging in Arzal's voice.
"Miss Miller hasn't gotten her consciousness back yet. She has gotten a very severe shock after watching her brother's accident but hope so, she would wake up in some hours,"
Arzal sighed, heavily and then nodded at the doctor which made him leave.
"Arzal, what had happened in the terrace that made Nathan react so violently?" Nicklaus asked, confused.
Arzal suspired before answering.
"He had caught me and Seraphina together,"
"What?" Nicklaus became shocked and Arzal just nodded.
Nicklaus heaved when his phone started ringing.
"Hello, Neva. No, the doctor said they can't say anything before 24 hours and Seraphina hasn't regained her consciousness yet... no, you don't have to come here at this time. Just take care of yourself and Evelyn. I'll take you both here in the morning," Nicklaus hung up the call.
Nevada and Evelyn were also wanted to come with them but Nicklaus and Arzal didn't let them. They told them to wait in the Miller's house as the situation was very serious and it was the middle of the night.
Both Nicklaus and Arzal were waiting for some news on both of their healths but just like that hours passed but no one recovered until.
"Mr Grayson... Miss Miller... "
Arzal's eyes widened, hearing and watching the panicked nurse.
"What happened to her?" He almost yelled, terrified.
"She is... "
"NO, LEAVE ME," Arzal's eyes snapped towards the direction her scream came from and he ran there.
"NO, leave me. Let me go and see my brother. Leave me,"
Arzal's heart clenched at her state. She was wiggling and protesting against the holds of the doctors and nurses. Her face reddened with tears.
"LEAVE ME," Seraphina screamed out of her lungs and started coughing badly, making his wide eyes more enlarged.
"Leave her," He ordered, panicking.
And as soon as Seraphina felt herself free, she tried to storm towards the door to leave but he stood in the middle and held her.
"No, leave me. Let me. Let me go and see my brother. Leave me," She chanted, crying, whimpering, yelling.
Her condition made his eyes watered.
"Leave me," She yelled while bursted out crying.
"Please calm down. Please calm down, Sera. Nathan will be alright," He tried to console that shivering and struggling body in his arms.
Seraphina vigorously shook her head and glared at him through her reddened teary eyes.
"Leave me. I want to see Nate, leave me," Seraphina tried to forcefully snatch herself from him but he hugged her tightly and buried her face in his neck.
"Calm down, princess. Please calm down,"
Seraphina fought for a while but then eventually gave up and started crying harder.
"I want Nate. I... I want my brother," She choked on her tears, like a child. Seraphina's mental health had worsened after witnessing her brother's accident with her own eyes. The brother she loved and cared about more than her own self. Around whom her entire world revolved and she saw her that brother on the verge of losing.
The doctors and nurses left them alone to give them their privacy but Nicklaus was present inside the room.
Seraphina calmed a little in his embrace who was comforting her but then something triggered her mind.
Seraphina snatched herself from his arms and screamed at him
"You pushed him intentionally, right?"
Arzal's body froze at her words. Seraphina had lost her mind to process rationally.
"You pushed Nathan intentionally. You wanted to kill him, didn't you?" Seraphina looked at him sharply. Anger, hatred and pain were burning in her glossy eyes which were piercing through his soul.
"Seraphina, what are you saying? Arzal could nev... "
"NO, he has done it intentionally. He wanted to kill Nate. He wanted to kill him," She continued to repeat those words and Arzal just stared at her like a lifeless body.
Seraphina clenched her own hair and again teared up. She didn't know what to do. She wasn't in the right senses.
"It has happened because of us," The images of Nathan's blood spilling all over the road, his body crashing on the road had started flashing in her mind, triggering her mental condition more badly.
She rubbed her face vigorously, turning it more red.
"It has happened because of me if I wouldn't have hid about us from him then it would have never happened. It would have never,"
Arzal, like a dead breathing body, just heard her every word and watched her in her worst.
"If I wouldn't have fallen in love with you, I would have never hurted my brother. Nothing of this would have ever happened," Seraphina again started pulling her hairs and scratching her face.
Immediately understanding her condition, Nicklaus called the doctors and stormed towards her.
"Seraphina, calm down. Nathan will be alright," He held her but she abruptly shrugged her head.
"No... it has happened because of me. I... I hurted Nate.. I tried to kill him," Now her mind had started blaming her own self for everything.
Nicklaus's eyes went glossy by watching her condition. The doctors and nurses came rushing and held Seraphina's quivering and shrugging self.
"No.. I tried to kill him. I hurted Nate," Seraphina chanted and chanted while shaking her head repeatedly. Her entire body was trembling. Her tears didn't stop.
Doctors and nurses grabbed her body and placed her down on the bed.
"Give me the injection right away," The doctor told the nurse and she immediately handed it to him.
The doctor injected her with the medicine and slowly and slowly, her voice started fading. Her eyes started closing and she got into her unconsciousness again.
Those grey eyes, which were thoroughly watching that heart wrenching scenario in front of them, had made a tear slip down from his cheeks. Nothing had ever hurted him this badly. Nobody's pain had ever mattered to him but hers and her words constantly started repeating in his head, as she stared at her almost lifeless face.
'If I wouldn't have fallen in love with you, I would have never hurted my brother'
