He waited for her to come back and when she came back from the bathroom, he noticed her face had turned more pale. Her lips had dried up and she was looking in pain.
He hurriedly straddled towards her and held her arms gently.
"Does it hurt too much?" He asked and she nodded.
"It has never pained me this much but this time... " Her eyes again dwelled up. Her face twisted up in pain.
Arzal didn't know what to do, so he hugged her and started patting her head.
Seraphina embraced him back and buried herself more into him. His warmth was comforting.
After she calmed a bit, he pulled back and uttered.
"Let's go and get you checked with the doctor,"
Seraphina denied him and replied
"No, I just want to go home," She was looking exhausted. He nodded and removed his coat.
Arzal wrapped his coat around her waist, hiding her skirt's stains. Her heart fluttered at his beautiful gesture.
"Let's go," He held her hand.
"No, wait. I've to clean it," She said, making him confused, until she looked at the sofa.
"You don't need to, Sera. Someone else will do it," He told her but she didn't listen.
"No, it's not right,"
He understood her uneasiness. Arzal exhaled and placed his palm on her cheek.
"Ok, I'll do it then,"
Her eyes widened a bit, hearing him.
"No. You don't have to. I can... "
"It's not a big deal, Sera and besides, you're not feeling well," He uttered and took her to his chair.
"Sit and relax. I'll clean it faster," He made her sit on his chair.
Seraphina saw him getting inside the bathroom and then coming back with a cleaning liquid. He took out his handkerchief and poured the liquid on it.
Arzal kneeled down and started cleaning the sofa and she just stared at him, dazed and bewildered. How could he think so much about her? Why was she so relevant to him?
After getting done with cleaning. He got up.
"There's some light patches but they aren't that much visible. I'll ask a cleaner to remove it. Now let's go, I'll take you home," He uttered, looking at her.
Seraphina just stared at him for a while and then got up from his chair. She walked towards him and without saying anything further, she embraced him tightly.
"I love you so much,"
He smiled, hearing her and then pulled back a little. He kissed her forehead and then took her out from there.
They both reached his private penthouse. He had decided to take her there and stay there until she didn't turn well because he knew she would feel uncomfortable in his mansion where so many staff and guards were. He wanted her to have her full privacy and comfort.
He even called her doctor and asked her about her condition. She told him it might be because of the contraception pills she was taking. She suggested to him to take Seraphina to her clinic tomorrow for her check up which he agreed.
Seraphina got out of the bathroom after taking a bath. She decided to wear his shirt because his clothes were too comfortable and warm for her.
She wore his black shirt which covered her till her knees. Seraphina rolled up its sleeves. A tasty and delicious smell of food filled into her nostrils. Her tummy giggled in hunger.
Seraphina walked out of the room and followed that delicious smell which took her to the kitchen where she saw him, who was cooking.
Her heart tingled in happiness. She walked towards him and stood beside him.
"Why did you come here? You could've call m.... " He stopped when he trailed his gaze at her and noticed what she was wearing.
His gaze warmed up. He smiled widely
"Well someone is looking more beautiful today than they already are,"
She blushed, hearing his words. He leaned his head closer to her and whispered in her ear.
"Are you planning on killing your brother's head boss, Miss Miller, by looking so sexy and hot?"
Her face reddened. Even his comment was perverted like him. He chuckled and pecked her cheek.
"Go and rest, Princess. The dinner will be ready in half an hour. I'll take it in the room, " He said but she shrugged her head.
"No. I'm fine. I want to stay here," She said and he beamed.
"As you wish, my Majesty,"
Seraphina giggled at his words and watched him cooking.
"What are you making?"
"Well your doctor has suggested to give you some warm and nutritious food to eat, so I'm making chicken soup, scrambled eggs with a cheese toast and fruit salad for you,"
Her mouth watered. Her eyes gleamed up in excitement like a kid.
"Let me help you," She spoke but he stopped her.
"No. I don't want you to hurt yourself, so stay there,"
She pouted and uttered.
"But you can teach me,"
Arzal denied her, turning her pout more wide and adorable. She gave him her cute doe eyes, making him give up. He could give his life for those eyes then how would he even dare to deny them? .He sighed
"Come here," He opened his arm for her and she excitedly got under it.
He held her hand and started chopping the fruits.
"How do you know cooking so well?" She asked, pressing her back on his front.
"Because last time I checked I used to be a human,"
She scoffed at his answer and tilted her head. Seraphina gave him an angry pout, at which he chuckled and then pecked her pout.
"Well there's a lot of things you still don't know about me, Miss Miller but don't worry, I'll tell them to you in details some day," He smirked
Her heart shuddered because she understood the double meaning behind his words. She showed him her tongue and again turned around.
He chortled and placed his chin on her shoulder and they both made the food together in which he cooked the food and she cooked him with her uncountable questions regarding the recipe while standing in his arms which he answered gladly.
Seraphina was about to ask another question when he shoved a little strawberry piece in her mouth.
"That's enough questions for today, my majesty. The dinner is ready. Now let's eat it, " He uttered. Seraphina shot him a tiny glare while eating the strawberry.
He chuckled and then carried the dishes to the table and she followed him, too excited and hungry.
"The food was really very tasty," Seraphina uttered, while chewing on her dark chocolate bar.
He smiled and caressed her head. They both were on the bed, cuddling and she was sitting in between his legs. Her back was pressed against his. He had made sure about her comfort.
"Here's have it," She extended the chocolate to him which he had bought for her but instead of eating the chocolate in her hand, he licked the chocolate on her lips.
Her eyes widened. The butterflies inside her tummy declared a war. Immediately her cheeks again started huing, making him chuckle.
Hearing him chuckling, Seraphina frowned and hitted his chest gently. He pulled her head on his chest and kissed her head.
She hugged him and snuggled her head in his chest. This was her completion. Finding her in his arms, it was everything she had ever wished for, even something which she used to think she would never have but he was everything, everything that completed her.
But Seraphina never knew what it was going to cost her to have him as her everything.
"So, he was faking that engagement," Those emerald eyes filled with more wickedness.
"Yes, it was a plan to keep Seraphina Miller safe and out of the picture,"
Those emerald gaze turned more vicious.
"He's really adamant to keep her safe.Now let's find out how far Arzal Grayson can go to save his Sera,"
