"But how will you do it? You know nothing about cooking, Seph?"
Seraphina sighed, hearing Evelyn. She was talking to Evelyn and Nevada on a conference call. It had been a couple of days since Rebecca's truth came out but Seraphina had noticed that Arzal was still really very affected by it. He was trying to show himself fine before her but she knew him very well.
Seraphina was living with Arzal in his private penthouse because she didn't want to leave him alone and Nathan was the one, who suggested she stay by his side because he knew Arzal needed Seraphina the most at that time.
"I'll call aunt Clara and will take her help in cooking his favourite grilled chicken and cheese macaroni," Seraphina had decided to make food for him, so that she could lighten up his mood more.
"But still, you've never even boiled water, Seraphina. How will you do it?"
"Shut up, Eve. I know, our Seraphina can, so don't demotivate her and let's cheer her up. I'm sure she will rock it and we all will help you," Nevada joined them.
"Yeah... here we've to make the food not to eat it, Neva," Evelyn uttered.
"You both, don't have to worry about it. I'll manage,"
"Are you sure, Seph?"
"Yes, Eve. Okay now, I've to go and start preparing the food for him. He'll come back from his work in a couple of hours, so bye bye... " Seraphina stated.
" Okay. All the very best," Both Nevada and Evelyn said in unison and then Seraphina hung up the call.
Seraphina's smile dropped when she looked at the things in the kitchen. She had wasted 19 years of her life in just eating but today she would definitely make the food for him but how..
She sighed and called Clara. She knew Clara would help her as she was an amazing cook and Arzal liked her food the most.
After some hours, Seraphina was garnishing the food she had prepared, after so much effort when she heard the ringing of the door bell. She cleaned her hands and then removed her apron. Seraphina went out of the kitchen.
"Welcome home," She flashed him a big smile at the door. Arzal beamed too. He stepped inside and pecked her forehead.
"How was your day?" She asked, hugging him.
"A little tiring but okay,"
She smiled at his answer.
"Okay now go and freshen up. I've a surprise for you,"
Arzal became confused after hearing her.
"Surprise? But what?"
"It's a surprise, Mr Grayson, so how can I tell you right now? Go and freshen up, then I'll tell you the surprise," She told him, excited. He chuckled at her excitement and then nodded and went to their shared bedroom.
After getting done taking his bath, Arzal came out of the bathroom and saw her standing in front of him with a wide grin on her adorable face.
Seraphina bowed at him cutely and spoke.
"At your service, Mr Grayson,"
He chortled and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"And what services exactly you're providing here, Miss Miller?" He rubbed his nose against her.
"Anything you would like to have, Mr Grayson but for now, close your eyes. It's time for your special surprise," Seraphina cupped his eyes and he smiled and then she guided him somewhere.
"Here's your surprise,"
Arzal opened his eyes and saw they were on his balcony. There was a small table in the middle, along with two chairs. It was decorated with candles and rose petals and there was food too. A smile appeared on his face.
"How is it?"
He looked at her curious azure eyes which were indicating she had done all of that for him. He leaned and kissed her nose pin.
"More than beautiful and amazing, just like my Sera,"
Seraphina tittered. She held his palm and took him towards that table.
"You didn't hurt yourself while making them, did you?" He asked her, who was serving him the food.
"I'm completely fine. Aunt Clara helped me in preparing it but I didn't taste it before serving," She pouted. Arzal smiled and then tugged her on his lap.
"Then let's taste it together and then decide how it is,"
She beamed and then took a spoon of macaroni.
"Taste it and tell me how it is?" She extended the spoon to his mouth. Arzal ate it from her hand, smiling.
"How is it?" Seraphina asked, too excited.
"It's delicious and yummy," He answered, swallowing the food and again took another spoon of macaroni and ate it happily.
Seraphina became too happy to watch him eating her food so happily and even complimenting it so much. She fed him all the dishes.
"Now let me taste it," She said and fed herself but her brows furrowed in disapproval as soon as she tasted it. It was tasteless.
"Yuk.. It's so bad," She made annoyed faces. She tasted another dish but it was even worse than the first one.
"It tastes so bad. How can you eat this?" She asked, scoffing while looking at him who was still eating the food.
Arzal chuckled at the way she was making her face. He cupped her mouth and pecked it.
"Because this is one of the most tasty food I've ever eaten in my life,"
"Lier. It's everything but tasty. Even water is more tasty than it," She frowned and got up from his lap.
Her face, saddened. She was so excited and happy to make his favourite food for him and then surprise him, but what did she make? A tasteless food.
Seraphina turned around and crossed her arms. This was now how it was supposed to be. She couldn't even cook him some tasty food.
Arzal hugged her from behind and asked.
"What happened?"
"I'm useless. I don't even know how to cook a food properly,"
Arzal turned her around at her answer and saw her saddened face.
"But you do know how to love someone like me and try your best to make him happy," He said, palming her face.
"It's not about what are the outcomes, it's about how beautiful you've made the journey, Sera,"
Seraphina silently heard him.
"An outcome can be good or bad but what matters the most is the journey and you've made our journey more than beautiful for me, my princess," He muttered, turning her speechless.
"So, it doesn't matter how the food tastes, the thing which matters is, with how much efforts and love you've made it for me and for that, it tastes more delicious to me than anything,"
Seraphina smiled widely at his answer and then pecked his lips.
"You're very intelligent. I'll take tutions from you during my final exams,"
Arzal laughed and hugged her.
"Surely you can, Miss Miller but now, it's time for a return gift because you deserve it after doing so much hard work in the kitchen. Tell me, what do you want in your return gift?"
Seraphina sighed heavily at his words and then looked at him, who was waiting for her answer.
"I want you to be happy, Arzal,"
