Seraphina wasn't able to control that havoc of fear emerging inside her heart. That something bad was about to happen and he hadn't even picked up his call, so losing to the edges of her negative vibes, she decided to go to his home to check on him by herself.
She didn't inform anyone about this because she knew they wouldn't let her to go there, so she secretly escaped from Nicklaus's house but before she could reach to his house, Nathan, Nicklaus and Nevada, they all started calling her and she understood, they got to know about her disappearance, so she texted Nathan that she was going to Arzal's house to meet him. They all tried to stop her through messages and calls but Seraphina was determined to see Arzal and she did it.
Seraphina hurriedly strode inside his mansion and saw Rebecca talking to someone on the phone. She couldn't control her anger after watching Rebecca because she knew about her evil motives for them.
"Where's Arzal?" She snapped, daringly, gaining Rebecca's attention towards her.
Seraphina saw Rebecca's brows furrowed in disapproval by finding her there but she immediately masked it with her fake smile.
"Seraphina dear, how are you?" She said, getting closer to her.
Seraphina clenched her jaw at her factitious words and behaviour.
"Tell me where's Arzal?" She again asked, gawking at her but noticed Rebecca was still playing her role of a good person.
"Have a seat, dear. I'll... "
"You don't have to act good before me," Seraphina spat at her, halting her in the middle.
"Because I know how good you and your intentions are and what exactly you have done,"
Rebecca wordlessly heard her. Seraphina sent her a glare and walked past her to check on him but got halted.
"And I've succeeded in my intentions, my Seraphina dear,"
Those words made Seraphina turn around and now she noticed that wicked grin playing on Rebecca's face.
Rebecca knew she didn't need to fake her goodness anymore. He was already dead and now she had gotten what she was wanting.
Rebecca stepped closer to Seraphina who was already peering at her.
"I've succeeded in removing the biggest hurdle in the path of my aim," She uttered and bent her head lower to look more densely in her azure eyes.
"I've killed your Arzal, Seraphina,"
The land under Seraphina's feet slipped. Her body numbed. Her heartbeat dropped, hearing those words. Rebecca grinned more smugly at her reaction.
"Your Arzal is dead, Seraphina. I've taken his life with my own... "
Rebecca's words halted as her face got tossed, feeling that forceful slap on her face. She placed her palm over her burning cheek and tilted her head only to find Seraphina gawking at her with her burning teary eyes who had just slapped her.
"Nothing can happen to him. Nothing," Seraphina snapped her finger at her.
"A wicked and pathetic person like you can do nothing to him,"
Rebecca chuckled loudly at her words.
"So innocent and naive Seraphina has turned fearless for her love,"
Seraphina gritted her teeth, hearing her but she didn't want to waste any more time in dealing with her. She needed to see him. Seraphina turned around and tried to run towards his room.
"You won't get nothing by getting there. He's already dead, Seraphina," Rebecca stopped her and walked towards her.
"I've already sent him there where I had sent his parents,"
Seraphina tossed her head and saw Rebecca smirking at her.
"He has finally reached to his precious parents, Seraphina, so now he won't be able to reach you, my dear,"
"Are you sure about it, Rebecca?"
Rebecca straightened her gaze and her eyes widened by watching the owner of that voice.
"Arzal," Seraphina spoke, shocked yet extremely happy by finding him completely fine.
She ran towards him and hugged him tightly. He wrapped his arms around her securely but without taking his eyes away from Rebecca's startled gaze.
"What happened? You hadn't thought of seeing me alive after mixing that poison in my coffee?"
Rebecca was bewildered, after hearing him. She had never thought to see him alive there but she immediately tried to play along.
"Arzal, what are you saying, son? I can never... "
"Emma," Arzal shouted, stopping Rebecca from further speaking.
A staff member immediately walked in and bowed in front of him. Rebecca's eyes enlarged more by watching it was that staff girl who had prepared his coffee and had taken it to him.
"Tell us what you had seen Rebecca doing in the kitchen?" Arzal asked.
That girl swallowed before answering.
"I've seen Mrs Grayson pouring something in your coffee this morning," She answered, still looking down, making Rebecca more shocked.
"And when she told me to take it to your room, I had noticed that coffee's colour had faded and it was even smelling a little unusual, so I made another cup of coffee, so that you wouldn't scold me for that smell in that coffee and then gave the new one to you,"
Even Seraphina was bowled over at the revelation. She looked at Rebecca, who was now gawking at that maid.
"Perfectly executed plan to kill someone, Rebecca,"
Rebecca snapped her eyes at Arzal, who now was peering at her. That maid, Emma, told Arzal everything when she again got to his room to collect back his empty coffee mug.
"But you executed it on a very wrong person," He spat, through his clenched jaw.
"Because your old cunning mind thought it's too smart to overplay with me, just like you had played with my parent's lives,"
At this point, Arzal's heart was aching but his body was burning in anger.
"My mother used to treat you like her own sister. She had given you everything you had always wanted but you... "
"Because I didn't want her favours, I wanted to be in her place," Rebecca finally opened her mouth. Now she knew there was no point in hiding her true self.
"And I would have gotten it in the very first place, if your so called f#cking father hadn't chosen to marry her, instead of me," Rebecca shouted.
She and Arzal's mother, Arzia used to live in the same house as they both were cousins. Their fathers were brothers. From her childhood, Rebecca used to get jealous and insecure of Arzia as she was better than her in every aspect, like studies, behaviour.
Rebecca's parents always used to tell her to learn something from her that how she used to make her parents proud of her, unlike her who used to lack in her studies. This thing had made Rebecca start despising Arzia and as they grew older, this despising turned into hatred.
When they both finished their studies, they even got a job at the same place that was in Grayson's enterprises. Arzia had gotten promoted to a higher position for her working skills but Rebecca lacked it. Until one day, Michael Grayson, the owner of Grayson's enterprises, proposed to Arzia and told her about his feelings for her..
