Chapter 93

Ch. 93 / 150 Sep 27, 2024

His eyes were back carrying my favourite colour. "Are you alright?" His voice turned soft, but masculine. He snorted immediately as he wasn't expecting it from himself.

I won't blame him. He looks like a ruthless tyrant King. My eyes studied his soft expression. It was just a flash. They turned cold again. His skin was tanned. Wow! He's too hot. A soft smile curled on my lips.

He growled, glaring at me. "What's so funny?"

You! But I held my tongue. All I need to do is to save myself from his wrath. It's easy.

"Aren't we getting late now?" I asked, lifting my brows.

"Shouldn't it heal?" He snorted, taking a long stride closer to me. He placed his hand on my neck.

My jaw dropped to the ground when I saw burning lines on his throat and they healed instantly. He has done it before. My eyes brimmed with tears. "Thank you." I muttered in my cracked voice.

The clouds thunder in the sky. Esmeralda was at my side. She wiped my tears with something soft. "She's delicate like a flower. She didn't know how to use her power properly." She giggled, nervously. Her eyes turned to Aragon for help.

It wasn't fully dark. I saw his eyes flashing amber and then fire. "Why do your eyes keep changing colour?" I have asked this question many times. I never got a decent answer.

He stared at me for a long second and turned leaving us behind. I stared at his back. Aragon walked alone with him.

"Are you okay? I thought he would..." James trailed off, following my gaze.

"Kill me. I felt it too. Something stopped him." I whispered.

"They can hear us." Esmeralda grasped my arm as she tugged me behind them, a little harshly as I was a stubborn kid.

"Won't you come with us?" I glanced over my shoulder at James, he was still looking shocked.

He shook his head and scurried forward. "Yes.Yes." He used his ling steps to chase them. It slowed behind them.

"Don't freak out there. You're going to see Princess Cecilia. She's a light princess. A wolf princess." Esmeralda muttered in my ears.

"I haven't heard about a light princess wolf." My lips thinned in anger as I stared at his back.'' He's dating her. Isn't it?" I asked in exasperation.

"Lower your voice. She's their mate." She muttered in my ear again.

Whenever she did this, I felt the pressure in the air around me. It also became hard for me to breathe. Whatever magic she was using, it must be preventing them from hearing us. I wasn't certain.

Fear slither down my spine. "Their mate? Aragon or Dastien?" Anger surged through me. My wolf clawed at me. Why couldn't I shift?

She glared at me and bared her flangs. I stepped away. She yanked me toward her roughly. She might look very delicate but she was very strong. Her grip turned painful.

Her eyes were glowing red. She wanted to murder me. It would be worse than what Silver did to me. "Darius and King." She snarled and left my hand. She held her chin high holding a soft smile as she wasn't furious at me before.

"Darius and his mate. What does it mean?" I asked, quickening my steps behind them.

My feet halted witnessing beautiful cars outside the castle. I stared back at the castle. I couldn't believe I was staring at the sixteenth century and twenty one century at the same place.

Dastien opened the door for me and stared at me, silently ordering me. He slightly lifted his brows. My eyes darted on the second car. Esmeralda and Aragon got in the blue car. Jameson already drove away in his grey car. These vampires are fast.

He cleared his throat. My head jerked to him.

'It's not good to make him wait. Go! Go!'

My wolf was excited to go with him. Neglecting to glance at him, I started toward his car. I slid in. It was near to the stylish cars the alphas created for them. It's even more stylish and comfortable. I dug my fingers in the seat.

"Latest model of Bugatti." He said getting behind the wheel.

"I was hoping to see a carriage ride and horses, the oldest way to travel." I giggled.

His knuckles turned white as he grasped it, igniting the car. I groped my brain to come up with something. Silence was awkward between us. My wolf was also encouraging me. She wanted to take control. I glanced down at the diamond ring. It was a very fat one. I understand the envy of his girlfriend.

"Your brother told me you're just a human. A mute." His voice seemed curious.

He didn't tell me anything. Oh yes! Before James could make me understand anything, he showed himself.

"Yes, no power." I told him.

He gave a sideway glance to my ring. "He's already protecting you.

" But he couldn't save me from you." I said sarcastically.

His jaw twitched. He wasn't used to people throwing insults his way. Cool! I would love to tease him. My gaze flicked out of the window. The land was black. "Shouldn't it be beautiful?" I asked him.

He stared out of the window. His expression darkened, fire flashed in his eyes. His grip was so tight that I could see steering wheel enduring his wrath. He pulled himself out of whatever zone he was in. It saved his car.

"You're just a guest."

"I should be with James. And you should be with your girlfriend, Princess Cecilia." Sarcasm dripped from my tone.

"Just keep your mouth shut if you don't want me to shut it forever." He snapped.

I needed to escape somewhere safe where I could clear my thoughts. I had a lot of questions. I needed to get the answers.

When he pulled over the car behind Aragon's car. I jumped out of it instantly. The air was tense in the car. I needed fresh air. I heard him growling behind me. My feet quickened over to his car.

"What's happening? He has a mate?" I glared at him. I could feel anger within me, boiling in my veins.

He gave a harsh look to his girlfriend, she turned her intense gaze on me.

Great! Everyone wants to kill me.

"Not here." James shook his head, looking at behind me. He frightened him. I could tell.

"For God sake, keep your girlfriend away from me." I took James' arm and began to tug him with me.

Warm coursed through my body, my heart beat increased as his hand curled around my wrist. He just stared at Jameson. "She's with me." He growled in a low voice, his eyes didn't leave him for a second. The intensity made me cringe.

Jameson plucked a few steps back, his eyes lowered in submission.

My eyes drifted over to Aragon. There was a huge difference between them. Aragon was fearless and a very cunning King.

"Don't I have any choice to whom I want to be with?" I asked him.

"Yes, it matters. If you're a queen and powerful." Dastien said, curling his arm around me as he began to walk toward the stairs.

My stomach flipped. To ignore the love feelings brewing inside me I glanced over my shoulder. Aragon was saying something to his brother. His expression was dark. Jameson was looking scared. Esmeralda was looking anxious. What could it be?

His mate! It hurts so much. It felt as someone has stabbed me in the heart and continuously twisted it. She would tear me apart. Or I can take the ring out and show her who's the boss.

It made me nervous. I didn't know my power that well. I just woke up and here I was now, with my mate who wasn't aware of me. We are going to meet his mate from Dark Realm.

He steered me toward the giant double wooden and glass door. It wasn't very difficult from the earth when I wasn't staring at the black land.

When my eyes took in everything, I felt that I wouldn't fit in. "Um, this place isn't for me." I murmured under my breath.

His fingers tightened and his eyes drifted around. All bowed their heads at once. Even the soft music also stopped. He nodded his head darting his eyes around.

All eyes turned to me. I held my breath. Soft

Murmurs echoed in the hall. His index finger drum against my waist. My breathing resumed as I took more steps getting in the centre of the herald. It's going to be more difficult than I imagined.

A sudden wave of nervousness flushed through my veins. Some weird urge to run away from the place nagged at my insides. I didn't ever want to be the center of anything.

"Make certain your mate doesn't turn into a psychotic at my sight. I'm your liability to protect and drop me safely to my brother's house." I don't want to let him forget who my brother is. Though, Aragon isn't my brother. But I don't mind.

My wolf growled and didn't like me. But I chided her to be quiet.

His forehead creased as he glanced at me but it was quickly gone and replaced by his stone expression. Oh! This is not the version I fall in love with. He's so moody and a tyrant. He just throttled me just before coming here.

"King," A man in his forties stepped forward and bowed his head. A little grey shone in his dark hair and beard. He beamed at us. "Welcome to my party." His smile was reaching his eyes and he turned his gaze to me. They were dark brown and shone in amber as he looked at me. He bowed his head again and strode forward. He kissed my head. "So good to see you, after a long time."

My heart thundered for a second. He couldn't recognize me. It stuck in my head instantly. I gave him a confused look. "I don't think we've ever met."

"We have, child. I was there when you were born." His smile didn't waver. He was so happy to see me.

"Sir, Caleb." Aragon nodded his head as he stood next to me. Esmeralda was standing close to him.

"Ah, Cold King. You missed my last party, son." he nodded, trying to show his offence.

"But James attended it." He arched his eyebrows at his brother.

"Of course, young master came." He slapped his hand on his shoulder and patted it trice.

I sighed as I wasn't the centre of his attention.

"Well, how did it go?" He asked, looking between Dastien and Aragon.

They were very close. They seemed even like crime partners. I stayed silent, listening to them talking n a secret way. They were considering me Serfina.

"King," My head jerked to a perfect sounding voice. A gasp left in shock. She looked like me. I gaped at her. Her look was bold, her spine was straight showing the bold side of me, her.

"You did not tell me. You're bringing someone." My eyes swiped at him and turned to her and turned to the person next to him. But they snapped back to him. I stared at them with dropped jaw as I was numb in shock. His green eyes turned to me and flashed stormy grey.

I moved closer to Dastien. I should run away from him. My eyes averted to study the woman who looked like me. I'm the only daughter of my mother after my brother's birth. Was Esmeralda telling me about her? She's their mate. How could that be? I'm Dastien's mate. And who's he? He's looking like him, except his eyes flashed Grey.

"Prince Darius, princess Cecilia, she's princess Serafina. You must remember her." Calab introduced us

. "Yes, I never thought she would dare to stand next to my mate." She thinned her lips in exasperation. Her gaze turned hateful on me. Could she be the one to curse me. So she could replace me in Dastien's life. But the thought of two mates made me gagged. I wanna throw up.

My eyes narrowed on her. What does she mean by my mate? Wasn't the next copy of Dastien her mate? " Ain't one enough for you?" I spoke before I could rein in my tongue.

Her eyes flashed grey as she seethed in anger, glaring at me. Before she could murder me, Dastien erupted into a loud laugh. "Your sister is bold, Aragon. I hope she finds her powers soon." Appreciatively, his hand patted the side of my waist.

I batted my lashes in confusion. Confusion, shock, nervousness and fear jumped out of the window, seeing him happy.

"Mother won't like it." Cecilia said, lifting her chin.

His eyes flashed fire as he glared at her.

She recoiled back in fear. She tried to hold on boldness. But it was in vain.

Darius laughed as he curled his arm around her waist. "Relax, darling. He's the king."

"Princess Cecilia. Let's not ruin the fun." Esmeralda muttered with a smile.

Cecilia ran her gaze around and smiled. "Of course," I could guess she held herself from spitting insults my way. She pulled away from his touch and started away from us.

Darius stayed looking at me, swirling his glass of crimson amber liquid. He threw it down the throat, his eyes flashed grey again. He never plucked them away from me.

I needed to get out of here. Everything is making me uncomfortable, even the odd behaviour of my mate, too.

"Would you like to have something, dear sister?" James asked, taking a step forward.

"Yes, please." I forwarded a small step but his arm around me halted me.

I sniveled my neck as I glanced at him. "I'll take care of her." He said sternly. Without another word, he led me toward them. I wasn't hungry. I just wanted a moment to leave everything aside.

"What's wrong in going with my brother?" I asked him, sounding a little irritated.

"You're with me." He shot.

I leaned closer to his ear. He smelled so good. husky, masculine, smoke. I was missing his forest scent. "Are you making her jealous?" I asked, looking at the table where Esmeralda and Cecilia were sitting. Their eyes were on us. They didn't like me. They must be plotting to kill me before dawn.
