Colton Royal stirred in his sleep. He let out a small groan due to how much his body was aching him. Not only his body, but his head was also aching badly and he couldn't understand why.
Colt's eyes felt heavy so he didn't bother opening them. He decided to stay still, hoping the pains were going to go away somehow.
"Baby? You're awake?" He heard a voice say. It was okay to say that Colton was a bit conscious.
"Mia?!" He whispered, still not opening his eyes.
"Good morning love," Natasha leaned closer to him and kissed him on his lips.
Still with his eyes closed and despite how weak he was, Colton managed to return the kiss, hoping the myth of a true love's kiss will work on him. He had hoped Mia's kiss would take all of the pains he was feeling away.
Giving in to the kiss, Colt could tell that something wasn't right. He had kissed Mia a lot of times and the taste of her mouth was something he would never forget. Their lips always moved in sync but that wasn't the case here. For some reason, nothing felt right so he stopped responding to the kiss.
With all the strength he had, Colton slowly opened his eyes. For the first few seconds, his vision was blurry but it eventually became clear, making him come face to face with someone that's not Mia but the person who he hates most in the world. She was still kissing him even though he stopped responding long ago.
Without thinking twice, Colton pushed her away from him. He honestly had no idea where the strength came from. But at the same time, seeing himself naked on the bed with the person he despises so much, triggered everything in him that stopped functioning some minutes ago.
He sat up immediately. "What the hell are you doing here? Who allowed you into my apartment? What the fuck are you doing on my bed?" He raised his voice at her, silently praying that nothing happened but who was he kidding, they were both NAKED.
Natasha's heart started beating four times faster. Scared would be an understatement to describe how she was currently feeling. She had never seen this side of Colton. She never even knew he was capable of being this angry. He honestly looked like someone ready to strangle her with his bare hands."
"Answer me, you bastard!!!!!!" He yelled at her.
Natasha jumped where she was seated. She was afraid he would do something to her so she started talking. "W..w...w..we..we came here after wo...work and we....spent the night together!"
"Shit!!! Mia....the date....her birthday...the surprise" Colton mumbled with his hand on his forehead as he tried to recall what the fuck happened the whole of yesterday.
All his life, Colton Royal had never had any reason to treat anyone with disrespect, most especially the opposite gender but today was an exception because all he could see was red. Even Natasha didn't see it coming. He gave her a resounding slap which brought tears to her eyes instantly.
With the anger, pain, and disgust that Colton was feeling from within, he felt that the slap wasn't enough. He gave her another one on that same cheek. It was more painful than the first one.
She felt Colton coming closer to her. She had no idea what he wanted to do to her this time around but because she was scared for her life, she got down from the bed crying, with her hands against her already sore and red cheek.
Natty thought she would be able to escape and perhaps hide in the bathroom until Colton calmed down but she was wrong. Colt was fast enough to get a hold of her. He pinned her against the wall and started choking her. At this point, he didn't even care if she died in his hands.
Natasha had done a couple of evil things in her life but this was the first time she was ever facing a situation of life and death. She had never been this scared before but knowing she didn't want to die, she started fighting for her life, trying her best to release Colt's hand from her throat. She was really finding it hard to breathe.
"Pl....pl..ease le....t go o...f me." She managed to say."
"You know how much I despise you? There's no way in hell I would have brought you into my space or even consented to you entering my apartment."
"You undressed me and had your way with me, didn't you? You, fucking silly woman, haven't you got no shame?????"
"You knew I was planning something great for Mia, you knew we had a dinner date last night, you knew today was her birthday and you planned to ruin everything didn't you?" Colton yelled, not letting go of his hand on her neck.
He had worked so hard for yesterday and today's surprise. He had promised Mia that she was going to have the best weekend of her life but obsessed and foolish Miss Natasha had to ruin everything.
Words couldn't describe how angry Colt was. He could only imagine all that must have gone through Mia's head when he didn't show up yesterday. He worked so hard to earn her trust and Natasha just had to come ruin everything.
"Noticing how pale her face was becoming and how hard it was for her to breathe, Colton decided to let go of Natasha TEMPORARILY.
She fell to the ground immediately, gasping for air. Her eyes were red already. Even her neckline was paining the fuck out of her. She honestly thought she was going to die.
While Natasha battled to get air into her system, Colt picked up his pants from the floor and put them on. He didn't like the fact that he was naked before Natasha.
Once he was done, he went back to where she was and crouched before her. There was a reasonable distance between the duo.
"You raped me, didn't you?"
"Answer me, you fucking idiot!!!!" He yelled at her when she did nothing but quiver.
"I....no....not really?" She answered with her hoarse voice, with tears rolling down her cheeks.
Seeing the killer glare that Colt gave her, She began to speak. "We both wanted it."
"Are you sick? Did I consent to you touching me? How the fuck did you even locate me? How did you enter my apartment because I know if I was in my right senses, I wouldn't even allow you to come close to me. How did you achieve all of these?" He demanded at the top of his voice.
"I didn't mean to offend you, Colt. I did what I did because I love you." She cried.
"If you dare mention loving me again, I swear I'm not going to regret what I will do to you next!"
Natasha knew better not to disobey or annoy Colton. She also knew it was going to be a miracle if she left his place alive.
"I've always wanted to tear you and Mia apart. I was just waiting for the best time to strike. She said some nasty things to me over the phone, days ago and that triggered my anger. I'm used to stalking you sometimes so it wasn't difficult to find out that you were planning a great surprise for her. I got so jealous, I couldn't stand it, so I came up with this plan."
"So you destroyed all of my hard work and you drugged me?"
More tears rolled down Natasha's cheeks. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you mad. I did that because I care and I want to be the one you will spend the rest of your life with."
"Just....shut...the...fuck...up!" Colton said with gritted teeth. "How were you even able to achieve all of that?" He couldn't help but ask because he did not remember seeing her or seeing someone that looked like her. "And what the hell did you give me that made me lose my senses completely?" His body was still aching and so was his head.
"A pill to make you unconscious for a long time. It doesn't take effect immediately. It takes a few hours. I had your secretary help me out. She put it in your drink."
