Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 459

Ch. 459 / 840 May 06, 2026

Third person's POV

Tabitha's first reaction was not anger. Instead, she wondered why there wasn't a single normal person around Derek.

What about this girl who bore a resemblance to her?

Derek was clearly furious, with veins bulging on his forehead. He called out to stop Baldwin.

Baldwin, drenched in sweat yet looking respectful, said, "Alpha Derek, I apologize. We checked her chat and call logs and found nothing suspicious. However, I have located the original video."

Derek approached the gasping girl on the floor. "Tell me, what exactly did you talk about with Zander?"

"Nothing worth mentioning," Sally sneered. "The biggest mistake of my life was meeting you."

Derek felt speechless.

For the first time, he realized how terrifying being lovestruck could be.

He had thought that Sally would reveal the truth out of gratitude for his help, but she showed no appreciation at all, blaming him even in her dire situation.

Her heart and mind were consumed by Derek, much to Baldwin's frustration.

Seeing her stubborn refusal to cooperate, Derek decided not to waste any more words. He collected the video and left with Tabitha.

He speculated that even if that person was involved, it was likely a temporary contact with Sally, without deeper interaction.

Initially, Derek wanted to leave no stone unturned, but now it seemed Sally was a useless pawn, unable to provide any useful information.

He didn't look back at her again.

He reached out to Tabitha. "Tabitha, let's go."

Tabitha looked at Derek, then at the girl on the floor gritting her teeth in near madness, but in the end, she asked nothing.

"Okay."

Derek always enjoyed holding hands, whether in front of others or behind closed doors.

Being led by him, Tabitha did feel quite secure.

Her wolf also sensed this warmth and comfort within her consciousness, seemingly happy for her as well.

This action of theirs provoked Sally, and she roared like a mad beast, "Derek, I hate you! Since you don't love me, why give me hope? Why did you bring me out of the mountains?"

Derek didn't even want to waste a second of his time on such a girl.

He stopped in his tracks. Sally's angry curses ceased as she thought that Derek was going to look back at her.

Unexpectedly, Derek still did not look at her but grabbed a few tissues from the table with his slender fingers.

Everyone in the room stared at him, not knowing why he suddenly made this move.

The next second, Derek suddenly squatted down, using the tissues to wipe off the blood that had accidentally gotten on Tabitha's shoe edge.

He was so careful and serious.

Baldwin and the others were stunned. Wasn't Derek supposed to be cold and heartless? How could he now appear so besotted with his wife?

Sally had even forgotten to scream and stared at Derek motionlessly.

The man in front of her was completely different from the one in her memory.

Derek could be this gentle, even humbling himself to wipe shoes for his wife.

Why couldn't Sally be his wife?

Sally crazily wriggled towards Derek. "Why not me? I love you so much. Why won't you look at me?"

Tabitha stepped in front of Derek, blocking Sally's view.

"That's enough."

Sally started attacking Tabitha. "What are you so proud of? Look at my face! When you weren't around, he used me as a substitute and then cruelly discarded me. My present is your future."

Even if Tabitha couldn't remember anything, she found Sally's words utterly absurd.

"Sally, you misunderstand. I'm not trying to show off. I just want to tell you one thing. That's to love yourself before you love others." After saying this, Tabitha turned and took Derek's hand to leave.

Behind them, Sally's roars echoed.
