Sally's POV
I was Sally.
Seeing that face, somewhat similar to my own, I knew it was Tabitha.
She was the true love of Derek's life.
It was not until now that I realized Derek wasn't disinterested in women. He had been waiting for Tabitha to appear for the past decade.
He never explained this to me because I had never caught his eye, and there was no need or obligation for him to do so.
I had been delusional, striving alone out of his sight, even fantasizing daily about what it would be like to stand by his side.
After being rejected by him, I was so devastated that I cried my heart out and did many extreme things.
Looking back, I felt like a clown, while the woman by his side was both elegant and noble.
What I lost to her was not just appearance but also demeanor.
Seeing her legs, unharmed and perfect, only fueled my anger. Why was fate so cruel to let me meet Derek?
I roared inside, filled with jealousy and frustration.
"You're awake?" Derek asked lazily from his seat. "Tell me, who contacted you?"
But all my thoughts were on Tabitha. I stared at her so intently that it made her slightly uneasy.
My resemblance prompted her to speak up, "Do you know me?"
I giggled and said, "I didn't expect it was you. You've caused me such suffering!"
Tabitha's POV
A chilling cry echoed through every corner of the room, sending shivers down my spine.
I looked at Derek with confusion. "Derek, did I know her in the past?"
Although I had no memory, my instinct could tell me if someone felt familiar when I saw them.
But this girl was clearly a stranger to me, without any sense of familiarity.
"Her name is Sally. You don't know her, and you don't need to," Derek replied coldly.
It was as if knowing Sally's name was a desecration in his eyes.
I bit my lip, wondering why Sally would look at me that way if we didn't know each other.
Baldwin kicked Sally in the waist. "Alpha Derek is asking questions. Speak up! Who contacted you?"
Sally looked at Derek and said, "You used to love me so much, but now you're angry at me. Men are all liars!"
She appeared crazed. "Fine, I'll tell you. Come here. I'll tell you who contacted me."
Derek bent down slowly as Sally crawled towards him.
Like a wounded snake, she dragged a trail of red blood across the carpet, a sight that was shocking to behold.
Oddly enough, I couldn't muster any sympathy for Sally. It was as if she deserved this treatment.
My wolf also felt wary of Sally within me, sensing her malice.
Sally struggled to crawl over, her eyes filled with love and resentment for Derek.
Although Derek had deliberately bent down, it was still difficult for her to get close.
She had no choice but to keep tilting her head back, as blood dripped down her chin onto the pristine carpet.
Drip. Drip.
This action seemed to drain all her strength.
It seemed as if she could never truly stand by Derek's side no matter how hard she tried. She could only do this one thing at the end of her life.
Sally kissed Derek on the right cheek.
Bang! Almost reflexively, Derek kicked her in the heart, sending the already tormented girl crashing to the ground, half-dead from the blow.
Baldwin kicked her even harder, his usually refined face contorted with anger.
"You bitch! I never looked down on you for being disabled. I indulged you in everything, and this is how you repay me!"
The scene became chaotic, with Derek constantly wiping the spot on his right cheek that had been touched, his face filled with disgust and anger.
Sally on the ground boldly stared at me and smiled, "See? I'm the one who truly loves him!"
I looked at this crazed girl with a swirl of emotions, feeling a touch of pity but also finding her actions utterly incomprehensible.
I tightly held Derek's hand, wanting to give him some comfort.
Derek seemed to sense my intentions and turned to look at me, his eyes gradually regaining calmness.
I knew that Sally was just a pitiful and pathetic figure, and her madness couldn't change anything.
