Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 477

Ch. 477 / 840 May 06, 2026

Tabitha's POV

A new day dawned, and I was awakened by the sound of birds outside.

The warm sunlight streamed onto the soft bed, and I rubbed my eyes. Several colorful birds were perched on the terrace pillars outside.

Some were chirping with their mouths open; some were preening their feathers. Their presence set off the distant blue sky and white clouds, and the whole world became very gentle.

I rubbed my eyes and for a few seconds, my mind was in a daze. It was only then that I realized I had already been in another country.

The climate here was mild, characterized by year-round humidity and lush vegetation, in contrast to Seattle's typically dry and chilly weather.

I quite liked it here, getting up from the bed to wash up. Every time I faced this mansion, I always had a feeling that I was living like a princess in a castle. Thunder Pack was indeed wealthy.

As I walked out of the room, I opened the door and was greeted by many smiling faces. "Good morning, Luna Tabitha."

I was startled by the loud voice. Looking around, I saw all the various servants who were cleaning the windows, mopping the floors, and trimming the flowers all respectfully greeting me upon noticing my presence.

There was usually only one servant, Zola, at home.

I was not quite used to suddenly seeing so many servants.

I awkwardly smiled and replied, "Good morning."

Immediately, a maid who was dressed slightly differently from the others walked over. "Luna Tabitha, breakfast is ready."

I turned to look at her and asked, "Where is Derek?"

"He went to see Alpha Elliott. Luna Tabitha, just call me Jenny."

Jenny introduced herself, her every gesture and movement radiating her presence as a leader.

I learned from the servants that Alpha Elliott used to be kind to me. After his wife passed away, he left Seattle. It was said that he suffered from senile dementia, so there had been no news about him in recent years.

Since I came here, I felt that it was both emotionally and logically necessary for me to visit Alpha Elliott.

I washed up and asked Jenny to lead me to the backyard. The place where Alpha Elliott lived boasted a tranquil natural environment, and occasionally one or two snakes could be seen coiling around the branches.

Before a snake could even draw near to me, Jenny grabbed it and quickly tied it into a knot before throwing it aside.

In my surprised eyes, Jenny calmly explained, "Luna Tabitha, easy. The vegetation here is lush, so it's common to see snakes, insects, mice, and ants. But don't worry, most of them are not poisonous."

My mouth twitched as I said, "Do you mean some of them are poisonous?"

"Well, as long as you don't provoke them, there won't be any problem. These snakes are quite intelligent. They typically don't initiate aggression towards people."

I nodded, "I got it. Elliott lives in the small building in front, doesn't he?"

"Yes."

I entered Alpha Elliott's building slowly, and the courtyard was filled with blooming flowers.

"Luna Tabitha, Alpha Elliott is right here. I shall go back to work."

"Okay, Jenny, see you."

I walked towards the deeper part of the courtyard, and I had to admit that this place was ideally suited for retirement, with such a beautiful environment.

Just as I was about to seek someone to inquire with, suddenly a figure emerged from behind the vegetation.

"It is you..." an old man with white hair suddenly grabbed my hand, "You are Shana."

Although the old man was elderly, I could still see the connection between him and the Black Thorn Pack from his eyes and nose.

I was completely confused. Who was Shana? Was she someone I knew before?

My wolf, too, felt confused in my consciousness, as if urging me to figure out the identity of this mysterious person.

I looked at the old man in front of me and asked softly, "Sir, did you mistake me for someone else? I am Tabitha, not Shana."

The old man, however, tightly held onto my hand, his eyes filled with excitement and confusion. "No, you are Shana. Don't you remember who you are?"

I explained helplessly, "Sir, I really am not Shana, I have never heard of that name. Are you mistaken?"

The old man, however, did not believe my words. He muttered to himself, "Impossible. You look exactly like her. How can you not be Shana?"

I didn't know how to deal with the situation, so I could only try to calm the old man's emotions. "Sir, easy. Let's sit down and talk slowly. Maybe you can tell me who Shana is and why you think I am her."

With my support, the old man sat on the nearby chair and began to tell the story about Shana.

It turned out Shana was a very important person to him, and they shared some unforgettable memories.

However, due to some reasons, Shana left and never appeared again.

And today, upon seeing me, the old man mistakenly believed that Shana had come back.

As I listened to the old man's story, my heart was filled with complicated feelings. Who exactly was Shana?

Why did she look so similar to me?
