Tabitha's POV
I had already prepared for the worst. Anyway, I was just here to say hello. If she didn't like me, then I would just turn around and leave.
However, before Andrea could speak, a familiar voice rang out first. "Mrs. Greenwood, has Derek returned?"
A familiar figure appeared at the corner of the second floor. It was Kelsey, whom I had recently seen in my home country.
Derek heard the sound, exuding an aura of Alpha, with a layer of coldness enveloping his face.
"What did you come here for?"
Kelsey hurriedly walked up to Andrea and affectionately took hold of Andrea's arm, saying, "Derek, I have been accompanying Mrs. Greenwood for the past two years."
Now I finally understood where her confidence came from. It turned out she was waiting for me here.
Kelsey was playing the most important card, Mrs. Greenwood.
It seemed that Mrs. Greenwood only asked to meet Derek this time to match Kelsey with him.
Now I understood where this was going.
But I didn't feel any bitterness in my heart, and I even speculated about the future development with great imagination.
I secretly felt lucky that I had eaten enough at the airport. Otherwise, I would have gone hungry for this dinner.
I didn't mean to fight for it either. I would wait quietly for the plot to unfold.
I was wondering if Mrs. Greenwood would use the trick of "mismatched social backgrounds" to attack me next.
I pondered, stroking my chin. If I showed her the attitude of not caring about anything, what would she do?
Yet I didn't give Kelsey what she wanted.
Andrea's gaze quickly swept over Derek, and she silently scrutinized me for several seconds. In the suffocating silence, she coldly said, "Let's eat. It's all cold now."
Kelsey felt a little disappointed, as she had thought that the woman she had been taking care of for two years would stand by her side immediately.
I was also a little curious, but this was just the beginning. Perhaps Andrea also had to consider her image.
Kelsey immediately adjusted her mood and put on a virtuous look as she said, "Mrs. Greenwood, I will go to the kitchen to help."
I watched her as she ran over like a fluttering butterfly, and when she passed by me, she accidentally bumped into me.
It was clearly a provocation.
Andrea descended the stairs, supporting herself with slow steps, exuding an air of nobility and elegance in every movement.
I stared at her like that, thinking that there was some truth to the saying that one's values were reflected in their facial features.
If I were a man, I would go crazy for her pretty face.
I wonder what Ambrose's first love looked like and why he ignored such a beautiful wife.
While I was still lost in my thoughts, Andrea had already walked up to me and asked, "Why aren't you helping?"
She was not questioning. Her tone was as ordinary as asking about the weather today.
I knew she didn't like me. For someone who didn't like me, no matter what I did, she could always see something wrong with it.
So I didn't even want to pretend, and just said, "The Thunder Pack has no shortage of omegas, and here I am, not getting paid, but still eager to do the work that gets paid. Isn't that unfair?"
I thought that answering Andrea like this would make her furious, but that beautiful face showed no sign of emotion. She just made a slight hum and said to Derek, "Your wife is more interesting than you."
I was full of doubts, what did she mean?
