Tabitha's POV
I looked at Kelsey's incredulous look, and I was also a little surprised in my heart.
She probably couldn't believe that Andrea would say such words.
From her expression and reaction, I guessed that she must have been filled with shock and grievance in her heart at that moment.
"Mrs. Greenwood, do you really hate me so much? But these past two years, it was clear that you also liked me."
As Kelsey spoke, tears rolled down her face in big drops. She was like that kind of delicate, tear-prone woman.
However, her appearance only further stimulated Andrea.
Andrea darkened her face and coldly said, "Don't play this act in front of me. I am not a man, and what I hate the most is your behavior."
Kelsey was dumbfounded. I guessed she probably always thought that her constant attention and care toward Andrea over the past two years were just met with Andrea's naturally cold demeanor and that Andrea had appreciated her kindness deep down.
But in retrospect, everything was just her self-comfort.
"Mrs. Greenwood, since you hate me so much, I won't bother you anymore in the future. Remember to take your medication on time..." Kelsey was attempting a strategic retreat, hoping to stir some sympathy from Andrea.
Andrea didn't buy into this at all.
Funny enough, when Andrea saw Kelsey like this, it seemed to remind her of Ambrose's affair.
I learned from Zola of the Black Thorn Pack that Ambrose had initially developed feelings for Andrea, but Phoebe managed to use her pitiful charm to completely snuff out the budding affection in Ambrose's heart.
And then Phoebe deliberately pretended to be weak and framed Andrea, causing Ambrose to despise Andrea to the extreme, even saying that he would never want to see Andrea again, not in this life or the next.
Andrea hated this kind of person to the core.
However, all of these were what I heard from the servants' discussions later.
"Just get out of here. I can't stand another minute of your nonsense. You're the last person I want to see."
Not to mention Kelsey, I was also shocked. Andrea was so fierce!
Kelsey came in with a smile and ran out crying.
I pointed in the direction she had left and asked, "Mrs. Greenwood, don't you care about her dignity?"
Andrea looked at me and said seriously, "First of all, I have to correct your address. You are the Luna of the Black Thorn Pack, and you should call me Andrea from now on. Secondly, why should we show respect to someone who doesn't respect herself? Tabitha, you can't afford to be too soft-hearted. Otherwise, those pesky folks will keep taking advantage of you."
I looked at her curiously and asked, "Was that woman like that too?"
Andrea shook her head gently and said, "It's water under the bridge now. The wisdom I've gained over a lifetime, I hope you'll take to heart from the start. You and Derek are meant for happiness. Don't let the trivialities of others cloud your journey."
I nodded, not quite understanding but willing to accept what she said.
I said to Andrea, "Andrea, Grandpa asked me to organize his birthday banquet, but I don't know how to do it."
Andrea comforted me, "It's okay. I'm here to help."
I asked again, "Andrea, did you really let go?"
I heard that she did a lot of extreme things back then to force Ambrose to return to the family.
In the end, Ambrose abandoned them, leaving her to become a joke among the werewolves.
Since then, the rumors had never stopped.
Andrea was also too lazy to make friends with people outside.
If she was willing to attend Alpha Elliott's birthday banquet, it would prove that she had completely let go of the past.
These were also the pieces of information I pieced together from the snippets of words spoken by the servants.
Andrea said, "It's really not worth it for a man like that. Previously, you and Derek were married in secret. Alpha Elliott wants to use this opportunity to announce to everyone that you are the Luna of the Black Thorn Pack. Therefore, this birthday dinner must be held with great pomp and circumstance."
I quickly said, "Andrea, then you have to teach me."
Andrea nodded and said, "Hmm, about what the Luna of the Black Thorn Pack should do, it will be your responsibility from now on. It's a good opportunity to practice for Alpha Elliott's birthday banquet. Don't fret. I'll fill you in on all of Alpha Elliott's preferences later in detail."
I was surprised that I got along so well with Andrea unexpectedly.
From taking over Alpha Elliott's birthday banquet to her taking me out shopping, it was all within a day's time.
By the time I realized it, I was already in the largest shopping district in the city.
My wolf also sensed my surprise and joy in my consciousness.
It seemed pleased that the relationship between Andrea and me was becoming more amicable.
I looked at Andrea, and my heart was filled with gratitude.
Not only did she support me in the matter of Kelsey, but she was also willing to help me organize Alpha Elliott's birthday banquet.
I knew that this was a big challenge for me, but with Andrea's support, I believed that I could do well.
