Third person's POV
A while ago, when Tabitha just woke up, she asked such questions. At that time, Tabitha was like a lost little lamb, speaking in a delicate and weak manner.
Unlike now, she exuded confidence all over her body in the past. She pursed her lips and added, "It doesn't matter if you don't like her. Anyway, I wasn't planning on marrying her."
After saying that, Tabitha walked out of the restaurant with big strides, and Derek watched her carefree figure and fell into deep thought.
Without the constraints of children and family, she was surprisingly free.
She had plenty of sleep on the plane, and when she arrived at the new place, she was in a good mood, so even her footsteps became much lighter.
She hopped and skipped in front, just like a little girl, without any trace of the dullness from the previous year.
As they passed by some shops selling local specialties, she would even instruct Derek to go and buy some delicious local products.
As the sky grew darker, Jerry was heated yet he didn't dare do or say anything. He had no idea what Luna Tabitha was up to.
Tabitha always felt that she had been suppressed for too long in the past, to the point that she would be so excited and happy when she changed to a new environment.
When Derek bought her a specialty product, she turned around and entered another store.
After buying a bunch of souvenirs, Tabitha happily came out to the cashier and accidentally bumped into someone.
Her things in hand scattered all over the floor, and a gentle and polite voice came. "Sorry."
Tabitha felt that the voice was somewhat familiar.
"It's okay," Tabitha replied as she picked things up.
The two of them looked at each other when they both picked up the same box of pastries, and a hint of joy appeared on Orson's elegant face.
"Tabitha, I didn't expect to see you here. Did you recover from your illness?"
Tabitha was confused. "You..."
Illness, when did she get sick? Before she could ask a few more questions, a playful girl came over.
She grabbed Orson's arm and said, "Dr. Romero, hurry up! The ticket inspection is about to start. What are you still dawdling here for?"
Orson made an apologetic expression. "I don't have time now to catch up with you. Next time for sure. Seeing you recover so well puts my mind at ease. Goodbye, Tabitha."
Orson was hurriedly pulled away by the girl.
Tabitha looked puzzled, who was he?
Her shoulder was tapped by Derek, "What are you daydreaming about?"
"I just met a man who seemed to know me. There was a girl calling him Dr. Romero. He mentioned something about my illness and recovery. Did I have a previous illness?"
Derek recalled the winter of last year when Tabitha was not at home for a whole week. He heard that she was hospitalized.
He supposed that was what Orson said.
"Well, in the past, there was a senior at your school. When my dad got sick and was hospitalized, he took care of him. Later on, he went abroad for further studies."
Tabitha scratched her head in confusion, "What did he say about my illness?"
"Last winter, there was a period of time when you were not feeling well, and you stayed in the hospital."
"Oh, I see."
Tabitha felt something was off. He didn't speak as if she had just recovered from a serious illness.
However, looking at Derek's expression, there was nothing special. Tabitha shook her head, probably just overthinking it.
"Let's go. Don't make your mom wait too long."
Derek scratched her nose. "So is your mom."
"She may or may not want me as her daughter-in-law. It's still uncertain."
"Sure she will. My Tabitha is so good." Derek embraced Tabitha and left the airport, while Orson, feeling worried, turned back and happened to witness this scene.
He looked puzzled. Originally, he thought it was impossible for Tabitha and Derek to reconcile after reaching that point. How come they now look like a couple in love?
As for the recent uproar in the country, he thought there was some misunderstanding. Derek, who had been secretly married for several years, suddenly made an official announcement of his marriage. No matter how you looked at this, it seemed a bit strange.
What he was most worried about was Tabitha's condition. Her wound had deteriorated and could not heal, so she basically only had half a year left.
She had lived for a year, so it could be inferred that the wolfsbane did not continue to spread. Her complexion was also good, indicating that her condition was under control.
But that was still hard to say.
"Why are you still looking in that direction? She's always gone. So she's the goddess you had secretly admired for several years?"
Orson averted his gaze and smiled indulgently at the little girl beside him. "Were you jealous? That's all in the past now. Now my heart is only for you. Let's go."
