"Sera, we'll have to take you to the doctor for some birth control measures,"
Seraphina looked at him, bewildered. Her mind went blank for a while hearing him.
Arzal exhaled a sharp breath at her reaction and uttered.
"We've not used any protection last night and even right n... " He stopped speaking when he noticed her eyes were now glistening.
Seraphina unwrapped her legs from his waist and stood on her feet. Her miserable gaze made him aware that she had taken his words in the wrong way.
"Sera, I didn't... "
Seraphina slightly pushed him away and then dashed out from the bathroom.
Arzal exhaled firmly at her action. He shut the shower and followed her outside the bathroom.
He saw her sitting on the edge of the bed, with a duvet wrapped around her wet naked body. Arzal walked towards her but noticing his presence, she immediately turned her face away from him.
He kneeled down beside her, on the floor and then palmed her face. He made her look at him and his chest tightened when he saw those warm heavy tears rolling down from her cheeks.
Seraphina's mind was too messed up to understand that whatever he had said was for her betterment. Her mind was just believing that he didn't want that beautiful feeling between them to have a beautiful destination, which was the total opposite of what he had actually meant.
"Sera," He tried to speak but Seraphina started removing his hand from her face but he didn't let her to.
He cupped her face a bit firmly and then wiped her tears.
"Sera, it's not like what you're thinking, my Princess. Whatever I said, I mean it for your own good,"
Seraphina didn't reply but just heard him.
"You're just 18 yet. You've your whole life, career, studies ahead of you. You've so many things to achieve in your life yet, Princess," He tried to make her understand.
"And the responsibility of being a parent is too big and even I'm not ready for it, Sera because we still need to look after so many things in our lives and before bringing a new life in our life, we've to make sure that we're capable enough of giving that life a safe, beautiful and blessed life to live,"
Seraphina was beyond speechless at his words. Arzal wiped her teary eyes gently and kissed her forehead.
"Sera, before taking that big step in our life, I want you to be so much strong, both emotionally and physically that even if something happens to me, you alone will be able to give our child the life which we both want it to have and live,"
Overwhelmed, Seraphina was overwhelmed with each and every word of his. She used to think of him as heartless but in reality, his heart was too beautiful and warm.
"And besides, you're still physically weak, Princess. I can't risk your life. It's my mistake, I should've been careful last night and even today but I was just... " He didn't have words to describe to her how he lost his control over his being before her.
His gaze stared into her azure shimmering eyes.
"But I will be careful from next time but for now, please try to understand, Sera. I will forever be by your side in every step of your life but I want my woman ahead of me. I want you ahead of me in every aspect of life,"
That was it for her emotions to take over her. Seraphina crouched down and hugged him tightly.
"I love you. I love you so much," She chanted in between her soft whimpers.
He smiled hearing her and pecked her head.
"And I'm sorry for not trying to understand you," She whispered her apology in his ear.
He pulled back and kissed her nose pin. It felt beyond beautiful and calm to both of them.
"Ok now let's get you ready. I'm very hungry. We'll have our breakfast on our way to the doctor, okay?"
She nodded with a smile, hearing her and again hugged him. He chuckled and got up while hoisting her up in his arms and went to her cupboard.
"So Miss Miller, Mr Grayson has told me about your health condition but I need to know some information from you," The doctor uttered to both of them.
They both came to the doctor for Seraphina's checkup because he didn't want to take any risk with her health.
Seraphina gulped, hearing the doctor and nodded. The doctor gave her a professional beam but before asking anything personal, she looked at Arzal who was sitting beside Seraphina.
Arzal immediately caught the doctor's glance and said curtly.
"She's my girlfriend. You can discuss about her health, in front of me,"
Seraphina's eyes widened. She snapped her head and looked at him, shocked after hearing his words. Did he just call her his girlfriend or was she hallucinating? But his facial expression was looking dead serious. He wasn't joking.
"Okay, so Miss Miller, are your monthly cycles regular and the flow of your blood?"
Seraphina tossed her head, hearing the doctor. Seraphina swallowed and nodded.
"Yes, my monthly cycles are regular but my blood flow is heavy during the first two days,"
Seraphina never thought she would be able to answer such questions before a man because her mind was too conservative but right now, she wasn't feeling any embarrassment or uncomfortableness answering those personal questions in front of him, instead she was glad that he was present beside her.
"Okay, so here's the most safest contraceptive pills for you, as per your health. Take one, every day in the morning and avoid them during your menstruation cycles," The doctor said, handling the prescription, after getting done with questioning her.
Arzal took it from the doctor and they both got up.
"Take care," The doctor said. Seraphina smiled and answered
"Thank you, doctor,"
The doctor beamed and then they both left.
He was driving his car. They both were heading back from the doctor's clinic. Arzal glanced at her direction and noticed she was completely quiet and was looking outside.
"What happened, Sera?" He asked her.
Seraphina tossed her head and looked at him. She shrugged her head because she didn't know how to describe him, what was bothering her.
He understood something was troubling her and before he could ask further, she turned her head around at the window again.
He decided to drop the topic for now if she wasn't ready to talk.
Seraphina was looking outside at the bright blue sky when suddenly he stopped his car. She looked at him, confused.
"Let's go," He said, removing his seatbelt.
Her brows arched in confusion about where he was taking her but she ended up following his words. They both got out of his car.
Arzal held her hand in his hand and guided her towards a certain direction.
