His Forbidden Obsession

Chapter 63:- My Nightmare

Ch. 63 / 125 Feb 13, 2026

His head tossed. His mouth shut, as he felt that stinging sensation on his cheek of her slap.

"Really, it was just lust?"

Arzal snapped his eyes at her and saw that fire burning in her glossy eyes.

"The way you touched me, the way you embraced me, the way you made me feel that night, was it all just your lust?" Seraphina yelled at him and then grabbed his collar.

Her blazing gaze peered at him.

"Whom are you trying to lie to? Me or your own self, Mr Grayson?"

He remained shut at her outburst.

"I know my mind is naive. I know I am mentally weak, but my heart is strong enough to understand the feelings of that person whom it has started letting inside in it," She shouted while tearing up terribly.

"My heart knows you enough to know that you're lying. You're lying to me because we both know, it wasn't lust. What happened between us that night wasn't lust because if that was just lust then you would have never thought about my pain before your pleasure. You would have never restrained yourself from hurting me,"

He remained wordless because her each and every word was the epitome of truth of that night.

"If that was just lust then you would have tainted me the night when I was completely alone with you, helpless and unconscious. You would have ruined me, that day when you barged into my house. You wouldn't have restrained yourself from touching and looking at me inappropriately that morning, when my hand was burned,"

Taking out the storm of emotions, Seraphina broke down into tears.

"Why are you lying? Why are you doing this? Why are you stopping... "

"Because the things you are believing are in your mind. They have no existence in our lives, especially mine," He stopped her.

Arzal grabbed her hands and snatched them from his collar with a bit of force. He pulled her on his chest and twisted her wrists behind her.

"Come out from the world of your dreams, Seraphina because I ain't your prince charming. I am a f#cking sinner who has sinned with you," He groaned, gawking into her glossy eyes.

"And this ain't a dream, Princess. I am not a dream because I am your worst nightmare and a princess doesn't deserve a nightmare. She shouldn't desire a sinner,"

More tears rolled down from her eyes.

"I ain't a Princess of dreams, Mr Grayson because I am the Princess of my nightmare. I am the forbidden obsession of my sinner,"

The authority her words held had shrugged his sanity. She was turning him insane for her.

He twisted her wrists, making her arch her back. Their bodies smashed against each other. Their lips brushed. None of them dared to break that flaming trance between them.

The rain aggressively fell on their tangled bodies but their eyes never left each other. Seraphina's azure eyes were still staring at him with a hope that he would tell her the truth that why he was lying? Why was he hurting her?

Arzal clenched his jaw and twisted her wrists more abruptly, making her hissed in pain. He released her from his hold immediately, hearing her hissing and then stepped away from her.

Her heart shattered into pieces when he turned his back on her. Seraphina saw him fist his palms vigorously and groaned.

"Get in the damn car, Seraphina. It's turning late,"

She gazed at his back and finally uttered those words.

"Now it's finally too late to get back again,"

He turned around, hearing her and witnessed her staring at him, lifelessly, like each and every emotion inside her had finally died.

Seraphina glanced at him one last time and turned around. She opened the car's door and got inside.

Arzal sighed and joined her in the car and they drove away from there but that storm between them had finally turned venomous.

He stopped his car in front of his mansion's gate. He tossed his head and saw her already getting done opening her seatbelt. Seraphina opened the car's door and dashed out of it, without passing him a single glance.

He slammed his fist on the steering wheel, watching her vanish inside his mansion and then he drove away from there.

-

"Tell her the truth, Arzal. It's breaking that innocent soul,"

His intoxicated grey eyes were gazing at that portrait of her before him, which he had made.

The liquor he was chugging was burning his throat, turning his already reddened eyes more barbaric.

"I noticed today how much it was hurting her. Seraphina isn't capable of enduring the outcomes of this game which you've started,"

Arzal shut his eyes, at Nicklaus's words and immediately those azure eyes came in front of his closed eyes. How broken and hurted she was? Her each and every word. She pleaded with him to cure her but he couldn't, he couldn't cure the pain of that innocuous soul, which he was intentionally breaking.

He shot his eyes open and his inebriated gaze fell on that portrait where she was smiling. Where he had given those eyes a beautiful beam of shine but in reality, he had snatched the light and happiness of those azure eyes.

Arzal growled like a caged animal and threw that glass, he was clutching. He shrugged away all the liquor bottles and glasses from the table, before him, with his arm, crushing them into uncountable pieces.

Nicklaus silently witnessed the worst of him. He knew only Seraphina was capable of taking out that worst from Arzal.

After shattering everything into pieces, he snapped his voracious gaze at Nicklaus.

"Do you know, how f#cking it hurts me by watching her in pain? How f#cking helpless I feel by watching those tears in her eyes?" He groaned.

"She begged me to end her pain, to take her pain away but like a f#cking heartless basta#d, I hurted her even more. I hurted my Sera,"

Nicklaus wordlessly heard his confession.

"I have never felt this much helpless, ever in my life. I don't even want to think about hurting her but I have to do it. I am f#cking doing it to keep her safe because I can't risk her life. I can't let anything happen to her, because of me," He blurted out, gazing at her portrait.

"It's not your fault, Arzal. The attacks on her weren't... "

"It was my f#cking fault. That ba#tard Benjamin was there to force and kill her because of me. That car accident of Dale which was meant to take her life, all of these f#cking shits were my fault. If I would haven't dragged her in my f#cked and messed up life, then nothing of this would have ever happened. Nobody would have even thought of hurting her. I wouldn't have to keep her apart from me to keep her safe. She would have been living her life happily with her brother but I tainted her colourful life with my darkness, so that I could fill those colours in my dark life," He took out his bottled up emotions.

"We will soon find that ba#tard, who is behind all of this, Arzal,"

"But I can't put her life on stake because I don't know who that f#cker is, who is trying to kill her, just because that ba#tard knows who she's to me?" He spat. Nicklaus suspired.

"It's confirmed that person is someone closer to you, who knows about her relevance in your life,"

"And that's the reason, I am f#cking playing this shit game of getting engaged to Lyra, so that, that f#cker started believing I am in love with Lyra and am going to marry her,"

Nicklaus heaved hearing him.

"But in all of this, the one who's getting shattered the most is Seraphina, Arzal,"

His keen grey eyes, gazed at her eyes.

"I know, I am hurting her but I promise, the I'll soon find out who is behind all of this and I'll make him f#cking pay for every tear she is shedding,"

--

The sun was rising, the darkness of the night was engulfing it. It had been two days, Seraphina didn't get out of her room. The tears in her eyes were not stopping from flowing, as she witnessed the sun again getting lost in the darkness of the night, that night when finally he was going to become someone else's.

The mere thought had started squeezing her heart, painfully. A knock on her door, broke her painful trance.

Seraphina immediately wiped her tears and turned around from the window. She noticed a staff girl had come, followed by two unknown girls.

"Miss Miller, Mr Grayson has sent them for you. They will help you in getting ready for his engagement party,"

Her jaw tightened, at the maid's words.

"Tell Mr Grayson that I am not going to his engagement party," She snapped and again turned around but then she heard that raspy authoritative voice and its words.

"Leave us alone,"
