"Take Ryan with you,"
Seraphina gave him a disbelieving look at his words.
"He is going to be there with you for your safety and security reasons," Arzal said firmly, gazing at her.
"Arzal, Seraphina will be safe with us. She..."
"Ryan will go with her or else, she's not stepping a single step out of this house tonight. That's it, "
Arzal's voice and words were commanding and authoritative, which made Nevada shut.
Seraphina sighed and looked at Ryan.
"Let's go, Ryan," She flashed him a soft smile, which Ryan returned back.
Arzal keenly noticed their interaction.
"Fine then. If everything is sorted, then let's go,"Nevada said and everyone walked towards the door.
Everyone started settling in their cars when Seraphina noticed Ryan was getting alone in his car.
"Nevada, can I sit in Ryan's car, as he's alone?" She asked Nevada because she was going to sit with her in Nicklaus's car.
Nevada smiled and nodded.
"Surely, why not and besides, it's just half an hour drive,"
Seraphina beamed and walked towards Ryan.
"Can I come with you, please?" Seraphina was trying to be humanly with him and besides, she was getting the warmth of her brother from him.
Ryan nodded with a smile because her cute smile was too adorable to resist. He opened the car's door for her and she was about to get in but stopped.
"Don't leave Ryan's side,"
Seraphina turned her head and witnessed those grey eyes, staring at her and then they shifted to Ryan.
"And make sure not a single harm reaches to her, Ryan," He ordered and Ryan nodded with a bow.
"Yes, Boss,"
Seraphina glanced at him but then her eyes trailed towards Lyra, who was standing beside her. They both were also heading to somewhere together.
The burning sensation in her heart inflated. Seraphina gave him a glare but those grey eyes were quick enough to notice the tiny tears shimmering in her azure eyes.
Seraphina turned around and got inside the car and drove away from there.
"Wow... this year's theme and decoration is just beautiful," Evelyn uttered, fascinated, staring at the place's beauty with her amber eyes.
"Indeed, it's beautiful," Nicklaus commented but his eyes were not on the decoration but on the owner of those amber eyes.
On the other hand, Seraphina read those bold crimson letters, which were mentioning the theme of the night.
'THE NIGHT OF LOVE'
Her heart shuddered when her mind immediately flashed those grey eyes when she read those words, who might be enjoying his night with his love.
Seraphina had completely lost her interest in the carnival because now her mind was all over only that one thing, which was clenching her existence in pain.
"Let's get inside. I am so excited," Nevada uttered and everyone walked inside the place but Seraphina remained frozen at her place.
"Hey, let's go. What happened?"
She turned her head and saw Ryan. Seraphina shrugged her head and sighed.
"Just don't let your sad thoughts consume over your happy moments, Seraphina," Ryan spoke, smiling
He was really an amazing and warm hearted person which Seraphina got to know in their journey to the carnival. He was really understanding, just like Nathan.
Seraphina smiled and then they both got inside the place.
"Hey, Seph. Try this bracelet. It's beautiful,"
"No, Eve. I don't want to," Seraphina denied Evelyn.
Evelyn sighed at her response and then grabbed Seraphina's hand and took her to a corner, noticing everyone else was busy admiring the place.
"Seph, I have been noticing for some days that something isn't right. Are you alright? I mean does Mr Grayson treat you well in his house?"
Seraphina swallowed, at her question. She wanted to tell her best friend everything but she couldn't. She couldn't dare to involve more of her loved ones in this mess.
Seraphina shrugged her head and smiled.
"It's nothing, Eve. I am just missing Nate, badly," She told her the half truth.
"Are you sure, Seph? You're not hiding something from me, right?"
Seraphina shook her head and again faked a little beam
"Everything is fine, Evelyn. Don't worry,"
"Okay, if you say so. Now let's go and wander this place more," Evelyn became excited, making Seraphina chuckled.
"That greedy as# was trying to charge me double for that bag. Pig,"
"Language, young lady," Nicklaus tried to rectify his sister's words.
Nevada rolled her eyes and spat.
"Shut up. Your mind is more vulgar and shameless than my language, Nick,"
Everyone chuckled at her reply whereas Nicklaus glared at her.
"Hey! Guys, look there," Evelyn gained everyone's attention towards her.
"Look, something is happening there. Let's check," Evelyn ran, excited and everyone followed her.
Seraphina's eyes roamed over that big shiny mirror before her. Its edges were coated with a crimson colour metal.
"This mirror is special,"
Seraphina heard an old woman speaking, who was standing beside the mirror with an old man which she assumed was her husband.
"What's special about this mirror?" Nevada asked, curious.
"This mirror is called the Mirror Of Love," The old man uttered, smiling.
Seraphina became curious at his words.
"Mirror of love?" Evelyn asked.
"Yes, Mirror Of Love. We believe that the person standing before this mirror will get the glimpse of his or her love's reflection in it, if he or she has met his or her true love in their life," The old uttered, beaming
"Don't mind me but that doesn't sound too fake or cliché?" Nevada said, slightly disbelieved.
Both the old man and woman smiled more warmly at her words.
"Have you ever seen a broken heart with your eyes?" The old woman asked Nevada.
"What type of question is this? How can someone see a broken heart? People use this as a term to express their hurt," Nevada answered.
"Then why only the heart and not any other part of the body to describe the amount of the hurt?" The old woman asked again.
This time, Nevada had no answer.
"Because a heart is capable of enduring and feeling that pain which no other physical part of a human can endure or feel,"
That old woman trailed her eyes towards the owner of that voice and witnessed those azure eyes staring at her.
"A heart just not let a human to breathe with its beating, but it also gives the human a reason to live his life by letting him to feel the pain and pleasure of love, hate, desire and obsession,"
Everyone became speechless at her answer whereas that old woman grinned at Seraphina.
"Absolutely correct and beautiful answer, my child," That woman said .
"Heart feels and endures the worst pain but it never make the sufferer to scream, no matter how much broken and shattered it is, unlike the rest of the other body parts, so that's why people use it as a term to express their pain,"
Nevada sighed and nodded.
"Understood. So, now can I try? " She giggled and that woman smiled.
"You're most welcome to try, dear,"
Nevada straddled towards the mirror and looked at her reflection in it.
"Hey where's my true love's glimpse?" She whined and everyone laughed.
Evelyn got closer to her and smirked, looking at her in the mirror.
"Here, I am your true love, Nevada Williams," Evelyn teased her.
Nevada frowned and spoke.
"Shut up and try yourself. I will see how you get the glimpse of your true love,"
Nevada got away and let Evelyn see her reflection.
"My true love?" Evelyn rolled her eyes and further said.
"He must be from another planet,"
Nicklaus coughed and murmured under his breath.
"Yeah, you too don't seem from this planet, "
But Evelyn's sharp ears caught him. She snapped her eyes at him and then jogged towards him.
"Very funny, Mr ugly blind sag. Now you try," Evelyn grabbed his hand and dragged him towards the mirror.
"Now, you check,"
Nicklaus frowned at her and then looked at the mirror but instead of looking at his own reflection, his eyes fell on Evelyn's reflection, who was standing beside him.
"What? Did you get the glimpse of your true love, you blind sag? " Evelyn scoffed and then glared at him and walked away from him.
Nicklaus didn't say anything but just chuckled to himself and then followed her.
"So, none of us get anything. It's time for Seraphina and Ryan. Go Ryan and try,"
Ryan first hesitated but everyone persuaded him and he also checked his reflection but nothing.
"We all are loveless," Nevada chuckled.
"Hey but Seraphina is still left. Go and check Seph, who knows you might see your love's reflection,"
Seraphina swallowed and shook her head.
"No, I don't want to,"
"Come on, Seph. Just check your reflection, if nothing then you would at least get to know how hot you're looking, like all of us, " Nevada remarked and everyone chuckled
Seraphina again gulped and then looked towards that mirror. She slowly started taking her steps and stood in front of the mirror.
Her eyes gazed at her reflection on the mirror for a while but nothing.
"Looks like she also belongs to our team of loveless life," Evelyn tittered.
"Now, let's go," Nicklaus uttered and Seraphina nodded.
She tried to turn around to walk away but noticed the laces of her shoe got opened. Seraphina bent down and started tying it and after closing it, she got up but her eyes widened and her heartbeat dropped by watching those grey eyes staring at her through that mirror's reflection.
"Arzal? What are you doing here?" Nevada uttered, bewildered but her voice faded for Seraphina's ears whose gaze got stuck on those grey eyes, which were intently on her.
But little did they know what that Night Of Love had really stored for them.
