From Gamma to Luna

Chapter 70

Ch. 70 / 98 Jan 10, 2026

Derek’s POV

At the gate of the Lumiere Pack.

Half an hour passed and they hadn't sent Erika out.

I ordered some of the warriors to surround the pack and be ready to fight. Then I asked Kent to contact James and tell him not to go to the Lumiere Pack if he received a message to lead warriors to support them.

My warriors had surrounded the pack and were just waiting for me to order an attack.

At this point, Alex also came out, leading his warriors.

Alex stopped about 1000 feet from us. Each of his warriors was well equipped with a variety of weapons and a wolf growled beside each warrior. Francis' information was correct. Alex had developed a new fighting mode, a wolf and warrior fighting together, a way that combined the advantages of long-range and close-range combat. Alex was said to be a bad fighter but a military genius, and he was true to his reputation.

"Young man, it's only the second time we've met and you've already broken through my defenses. You are quite impressive. But don't take us lightly!" Alex shouted.

"You are the ones who have turned against my pack time and again, working together with the Fly Rock pack. You took away my Luna. That's the bottom line. Let war settle all scores," I said angrily.

"Hahahaha. Derek, you seem to have made a mistake in your report. We didn't take Erika. She broke into our pack like a lunatic and started a fight. Now you're blaming us. What are you up to?"

"Crap! How can Erika break in? The space is distorted near your border!" I asked. Alex was still lying at this moment.

"Hmph! Aren't you quite powerful? Since you have the power to break through our defenses, your mate can also do it. Do you think I'm that stupid?" Alex asked.

"Don't stall for more time. Hand over Erika! Or you will pay a heavy price!" I said in a threatening tone.

"You have already touched the bottom line. Let the war begin NOW!" Alex shouted as he lifted his right arm and signaled his warriors to attack.

At his order, all his warriors began to charge toward us at a fast speed.

I also lifted my right arm and waved it.

The war officially began!

My target was clear, it was Alex, who as an Alpha was not a good fighter. He was better at pack defense and army training. If I could kill him as quickly as possible, the victory would be a piece of cake.

I asked Gerald to cover for me. I darted over to Alex's side.

Alex looked surprised at my speed, but quickly recovered from his surprise.

I knew he would use his gift to defend himself against my attack. But this time I wouldn't allow him to get away with it. I concentrated the electricity on the palm of my hand and prepared to attack him with my net of electricity. My net can hit any target within range. This time Alex's hands were tied.

Alex watched my movements, always ready to use his gift.

I had enough power in my hand. I raised my hand and was about to release the power onto the net. However, just then, a figure leaped up from nowhere and then rushed between Alex and me.

I fixed my eyes on it and it was Erika!

I immediately dropped my hand before I hurt her. But the power could no longer be retracted and I had to release it toward the ground.

"Derek, stop the war. Alex and I are related by blood. Order the warriors to stop. Bentley will also ask Alex to stop!" Erika mind-linked me.

"What? How is that possible?" I asked, looking at Erika in confusion.

At the same time, a young man came up to us. He ran up to Alex, panting, and said, "Dad, stop! Stop the war. She is Erika. Indeed, she is Lucy's daughter. It's her mate you're fighting against now!"

"What?" Alex and I let out a question in unison.

The war stopped instantly.

Luckily, it hadn't started for a long time and casualties were minimal. Alex also agreed that my badly wounded warriors could be sent for immediate treatment first.

Except for the necessary guards, I ordered the other fighters to return the way they came. We were left where we were, looking at each other and trying to sort out what had happened.

"I know we must have a lot of doubts. It's just too late. Let's get some sleep and calm down. I'll see you in the conference room tomorrow. How about that?" Alex asked, turning to Erika and his son.

"OK, Dad."

Erika also nodded.

Alex wasn't looking at me as he spoke. We had been blaming each other earlier. Now that Erika turned out to be their relative, I felt a little awkward. This was the most dramatic way I had ever known to end a war.

Erika led me into a large bedroom.

As soon as I entered the room, I saw the painting. I looked at Erika in confusion.

"Why do you two look so much alike? Is she..."

Yes, she is my mother. Erika mind-linked me as she stared at the painting passionately. Then she led me to the bed and sat down.

This is the room … she had lived in when she was a girl. Erika mind-linked me with a shy smile on her face. Erika was still not used to saying the word “mother”. I held her in my arms and patted her head. Poor child.
