Angel’s POV
Erika and Derek! And two suitcases!
Why were they here and why did they bring suitcases with them?
I stood straight and looked at Francis in surprise.
“Why are they here?” I asked with a low voice.
He shrugged. “You invited them, didn’t you?”
Fine, I remembered. I was afraid that Erika might notice something was wrong, so I changed to another topic quickly. At that time, I didn't know what I was talking about at all.
Now I thought about it, I could’ve just told her that Francis was good and everything was good, instead, I told her a whole love story that was completely made up.
What should I do now?
Erika and Derek were walking toward me hand in hand. Erika waved her hands at me with a smile.
I also forced a smile and waved my hand at her.
At the same time, I whispered to Francis’ ears. “Francis, hold me tight.”
“What?” He looked at me in shock.
I shot him a glance and squeezed him on his waist.
“OK, OK.” He pulled away my hand from his waist and wrapped his arm around me.
“Erika, what a surprise!” I said.
Erika and Derek exchanged a look of confusion. “Francis didn’t tell you, did he?”
Alarmed at their reaction, I looked at Francis in doubt. Did he keep something from me again?
“Well, it’s a surprise!” Francis turned on a smile.
I pretended that I was very surprised and gave him a big hug.
What a big surprise!
My original plan was that I would talk with him and tell him that I needed to leave. Now that his true identity was revealed, his dominant alpha vibe had little influence on me.
I would get whatever I truly wanted regardless of who he was.
But now, Erika was here with suitcases. My plan was ruined. I couldn't just leave here.
It seemed that she planned to stay here for a long time with her suitcases.
“Angel, I have big news to tell you. I still can’t believe it now. I mean, it’s so unreal.” Erika gave the suitcase to Derek and looked very excited.
“What’s the news?” I asked in curiosity and was happy for her.
“I’ll tell you later. I’m happy that your relationship really works out. Francis seems really nice to you,” she said lowly with a mysterious smile on her face.
I smiled without saying anything.
We walked to the pack house. Derek and Francis were behind us.
“Why do you still wear the veil?” I heard Derek ask.
Francis smiled without saying anything.
We walked ahead. Everything was fine until I found myself at a crossroad.
Damn it! I didn’t know where to go.
“Francis?” I turned around and waited for them.
They were talking in the distance. Damn it! Why did they walk so slowly? What were they talking about? Francis didn’t even hear me.
“They haven’t met each other for a long time and have a lot to talk,” Erika smiled. “Let’s keep walking,” she added.
“Sure,” I smiled.
No! I didn’t know where to go.
“So, as the future Luna of the pack, show me around. The first thing I want to know is where the pack house is. When I was still the Gamma of the Fly Rock Pack, I once planned a sneak attack on the pack house of the Westford Pack. Of course, it failed. I got the wrong map and mistook an empty building for the pack house. So where exactly is the pack house?” she asked as she glanced around the pack.
Well, where was the pack house? How could I know it?
I turned around and found that Francis was nowhere to be seen. My goddess, why wasn’t he by my side when I needed him the most?
“Angel, is anything wrong?” Erika asked with concern.
“No, it’s just… Francis…”
Erika burst out into laughter.
“You don’t see him for like one minute and you already miss him. Angel, I never know that you have separation anxiety.”
“Erika! Stop making fun of me!” I gave her a slight push on her arm.
It was a joke, but she avoided me immediately. It was a little weird. Still, I didn’t take it to heart.
“OK!” Erika stopped laughing. “So show me around. I’ll live in the pack house tonight!”
I didn’t want to upset her now, so I tried hard to keep the smile on my face and nodded without saying anything.
The pack house. I had no idea where the pack house was. What should I do?
We kept walking ahead and I was on edge. The Moon Goddess, please help me! Give me some clues! Where was the pack house exactly?
We walked to a place where there were many buildings. I bet the pack house was one of them, but which one was the pack house?
I stood in front of the towers and didn’t know what to do. Maybe the tallest one?
At this moment, a familiar figure came out of a corner. It was Elsa. She was in a suit with a briefcase.
Finally!
I blinked my eyes at her. “Please lead us to the pack house!” I thought.
She nodded at me slightly. Although her face didn’t change the slightest, I knew that she had read my mind.
