From Gamma to Luna

Chapter 88

Ch. 88 / 98 Jan 10, 2026

Angel’s POV

I had never seen Nicholas or Francis again ever since the day my ankle was broken. Only Elsa visited me every day to see how I was doing.

“Nicholas said that as long as you began to take training, he would remove all the guards outside your room immediately,” Elsa told me as she removed the bandage on my broken leg.

I tried to flex my leg. It still hurt, but it felt much better thanks to her gift in medicine.

“Come on. You are a good warrior, aren’t you? You shouldn’t just stay here every day,” Elsa elbowed me and said.

I nodded. Of course, I wanted to take training. I hadn’t trained for days and my speed had slowed down. Otherwise, the guards wouldn’t get a chance to hurt my legs.

“You may not know it, but the warriors in this pack are divided into different ranks according to their fighting abilities. You should start with the lowest rank for a while before you can get to the highest rank. I think you can make it pretty quickly. Oh, by the way, according to the pack traditions, the Luna of our pack always comes from the highest rank. Otherwise, she will be challenged over and over again…” Elsa told me a lot of things about her pack.

Honestly, it surprised me that the Luna of their pack should be a woman fighter, because it was completely different in the Blood Moon Pack.

But becoming the Luna…

Although I was just a little girl, I knew that marrying a man who took me lightly was not a wise choice.

“Angel, Nicholas is my brother, for that reason, I won’t say anything good about him. I just want to say, sometimes things are not what they seem to be. Good things can turn into bad things, and vice versa. I mean, why not give it a try? You’re so young and you have plenty of time to try,” Elsa said while looking me in the eye.

I didn’t nod or say anything, not sure if I could trust her. I knew that she could read mind, but I was not sure how she did it exactly. Maybe she said that because she just read my mind.

The next day.

I went to the training ground although my legs hadn’t fully recovered. Escape or not, I couldn’t tolerate those poker-faced warriors anymore.

I still couldn’t use my gift because of the injury on my leg, so I had to walk there.

And I was late.

The training had already begun when I arrived at the training ground. The warriors were learning some basic fighting skills.

Boring.

The man responsible for training was called Porter. When I walked over, he bowed to me with full respect, which left me a little overwhelmed.

Inevitably, the warriors began to gossip.

“I heard that the future Luna will come to take training today. Is she the future Luna?” a girl’s voice could be heard.

“Well, sure. She must be the future Luna. Look how respectfully Porter treats her.”

“Does anybody know her? I haven’t seen her, but she is quite pretty.”

“No one can be late, not even the future Luna!” Well, this girl sounded very mean. I looked in the direction of the voice. It was a girl with long red curly hair. She didn’t seem like a fighter at all with her perfect makeup and manicure and she rolled her eyes to me just now.

I frowned. I was a warrior good enough to teach them how to fight. Now I had to tolerate their gossip. Damn!

Instead of asking me to join the training, Porter told me that I could choose to take a rest by the side or train with them.

Of course, I chose the former. My leg still hurt and I needed rest.

I sat under a tree, watching them do physical training.

Well, there were some girls who looked ridiculous with their awkward movement, especially the red-haired girl.

But it still surprised me that there were so many girls among the them, and many of them took it seriously. It reminded me of how I became a warrior. I would never be able to receive fighting training without Erika.

Speaking of which, I missed her so much. Elsa asked me not to contact the Blood Moon Pack until I became the Luna, so I didn’t know how things were going with her. How did she get out of the Lumiere Pack? Would she get mad at Alpha Derek if she knew what happened to me?

I didn’t hate Derek for the punishment although I couldn’t figure out the reason, I still believed in my heart that he wouldn’t do anything bad for the pack members.

As I was lost in thought, a drink bottle went to me at a fast speed. I squinted my eyes and didn’t dodge.

Instead, I raised my hand and caught it before it hit me in the face.

Yes, it was going straight to my face.

I looked up and glanced around. Porter was not here. The warriors were taking a rest. My gaze fell on the red-haired girl who just rolled her eyes at me. She was looking at me with a fake smile.

So I was bullied by a girl who knew nothing about fighting! That was ridiculous.

I looked up at that girl with a sneer. She seemed to be older than me, but she was really an idiot.

Followed by other girls, she walked over and stopped in front of me with her arms crossed.

“Sorry, bitch,” she said with a provocative smile.
