From Gamma to Luna

Chapter 94

Ch. 94 / 98 Jan 10, 2026

Angel’s POV

Whatever, I was a mess now. My clothes were wet and in a mess. Everything was a mess. I guessed I couldn’t think or make any decision right now. I’d better get back to the room and got a sleep.

I walked up the mountain alone, and I would walk down myself in the rain. Not a big deal at all.

I left the umbrella in that hut and opened the rickety door.

However, at the feet of the mountain, a bunch of guards stood in front of me in a line.

Nicholas stood in the lead.

I recognized him at first sight even though he had his back to me. He had changed into new clothes with another black umbrella above his head. Of course, he didn’t need to hold it for himself.

I looked down at myself, soaked wet, and in a mess.

But why was he here?

"The guards are here. Angel, it's not the time," I said to myself, trying hard to hold back the urge to throw my fists at his face.

Nicholas turned around and looked at me coldly.

“Where have you been? We’ve searched you for the whole night,” Nicholas asked harshly.

I gritted my teeth and looked at him in disbelief.

I wondered if I belonged to his pack now, because if I was his pack member, I wanted to challenge him and get him down from the alpha position. I hated it when he used the alpha tone to me.

I rolled my eyes at him and wanted to say something. At this moment, I noticed that he was blinking his right eye at me and that the guards were all looking at me.

It occurred to me that Nicholas might not want them to know that he had already found me.

That might be the reason he left first.

But still, he was a jerk.

I lowered my head and said nothing, leaving it to Nicholas.

“Angel, you’re grounded for three days. You can’t go out of the room and take any training for these three days.”

Three days!

So I couldn’t go out until Erika’s birthday! How dare he? I looked at him in disbelief.

“Do you understand?” He asked with a serious tone.

“Yes,” I answered unreluctantly and twitched my lips.

Finally, he left.

But the guards stood still and looked at me.

“Don’t you need to… follow your alpha?” I asked them tentatively.

“No, we’re your guards in the next three days!” A guard answered.

Damn you, Nicholas! I knew the truth and the guards were also back!

After three extremely boring days, it was Erika’s birthday party finally!

Francis wouldn’t be there because he got a cold. I didn’t know if that was true, but it was a good thing. He was the last person that I wanted to see.

At four o’clock in the morning, I got into an SUV. My leg had recovered and I could go there within minutes, but the guards were also with me.

Finally, I could meet Erika. For me, she was like a mentor. After knowing that Francis was Nicholas, a lot was going on in my heart, but I couldn’t figure out what to do. Maybe after talking with Erika, I might know what to do.

The closer we got to the Blood Moon Pack, the more excited I was.

Wait, was alpha Derek standing at the gate?

In a morning coat, he stood at the gate followed by many guards.

Although I had left the Blood Moon Pack, I knew that he now controlled the two packs. He was literally the most powerful man among these packs.

After I got out of the car, I lowered my head and greeted him, “Good morning, alpha Derek.” With the same respect as in the past.

“Angel, I’m glad you can come over for Erika,” he said with the familiar alpha tone.

After the exchange of greetings, I was about to enter the gate.

“Angel, do you mind waiting for me in the meeting room? I have something to ask you.” Derek’s words stopped me.

I looked at him in confusion, but I still nodded.

Fifteen minutes later, in the meeting room.

Alpha Derek and I sat opposite.

“How’s it going in the Westford Pack?” He asked with a cup of coffee in his hands.

“Bad,” I told him honestly.

He wanted to hear more details and I told him.

“...Well, Francis has been lying to me for a long time. I don’t know what to do. I am thinking that maybe I can’t be a Luna and leaving the Westford Pack is the best thing to do,” I shrugged.

“Angel, you do have a hard time. You can hate me for it, but technically, that’s the Moon Goddess’ decision. I don’t mean to defend Francis, but his special gift dictates that your relationship will be full of lies. I hope that it works out for you two.

“The thing is that I’ve prepared a big surprise for Erika and it’s going to be a very important day in her life. So I want today to be perfect for her. Erika has been worried about you ever since she knew you were in the Westford Pack. She’ll definitely ask you about it, so I hope you can leave out the things that might bring her a bad mood, your relationship with Francis for example. I know it’s a tall order, but…”

“OK, I won’t tell her the truth. I’ll tell her that Francis is a good guy. I won’t ruin her day. Don’t worry about it. If that’s all what you want to tell me, I need to leave now,” I interrupted him in a dry tone. Then I left the meeting room.
