From Gamma to Luna

Chapter 95

Ch. 95 / 98 Jan 10, 2026

Angel’s POV

I got out of the building quickly.

Outside there were crowds of people working hard to make Erika happy. They were busy, but all of them seemed very happy.

I walked amid them and seemed like the only one with a sad face.

Fine, Derek must have prepared a big surprise for Erika. Of course, he didn’t want it to be ruined. It was not a tall order. It just…For these days, I had been suppressing my emotions. The emotional swings, the endless loneliness, and the uncertainty of the future, were too much for me to take. Just as I thought I could get some help, I was told I had to pretend everything was fine. It was like my emotion didn’t matter at all.

And I was being rude and reckless again.

If Francis had been here with me at this moment, he would’ve blamed me for doing what Luna shouldn’t do.

Maybe I was just not suitable to be Luna.

At the pack house of the Blood Moon Pack.

I waited downstairs.

Erika walked downstairs. She looked pretty today.

We hugged and talked.

Finally, she asked a question about me and Francis. She also knew that Francis was the alpha.

I smiled as I had practiced many times before I went into the pack house and told her the story that I had made up already, something like he was a nice guy, he gave me three months to make the decision, he didn’t push me at all… which were basically the opposite of my situation.

Hearing my words, Erika turned on a bright smile. She was really happy for me that the relationship could work out.

But the fact was he was a real jerk. He would make me the Luna immediately after I was eighteen years old. And he did push me and lie to me at the same time.

Honestly, I didn’t see many possibilities that it could work out.

I tried hard to pretend that I was just telling a love story with our names but different persons, but it was still hard. So I changed the topic.

I was stunned when I found out what Derek meant by surprise.

Erika could speak now!

That was … unbelievable!

I was really happy for her. The days when Erika and Derek fought each other had gone. They were real mates now.

It was dusk when I arrived at the Westford Pack. The revelry had ended and frustration became dominant.

Where would the relationship lead us to? It was time to think about it.

The grounding had ended. It was time to join the training, but I didn’t want to take any training. I wanted to talk with Francis.

He had deliberately avoided seeing me these days. He didn’t come to my room or see me in the training ground, even Elsa didn’t come over to see me.

Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore. I needed to see him right now!

“Where is Francis?” I asked a random guard.

The poker-faced guard didn’t say anything.

“Tell me where he is now, or I’ll search the whole pack room by room!” I grasped his collar and threatened.

The guard looked a little flustered.

“For your information, my leg has fully recovered,” I added.

The guard lowered his head and averted his gaze.

Fine, I flexed my arms and legs, prepared to use my gift.

“Alpha is at the pack gate now!” Finally, a guard told me the truth.

The pack gate? Why was he in the pack gate?

“Thank you! I’ll meet him there!” Before they had time to say anything, I already used my gift and left.

My room was far away from the gate, so it took me about three minutes to get there.

Francis was at the gate alone. Yes, he was Francis today, one of his identities. It seemed that he was waiting for someone, but not as the alpha of the pack.

He wasn’t surprised to see me when I suddenly showed up out of nowhere.

He looked me in the face and looked calm as if he already knew what I was up to.

I hadn’t seen this face for a long time, and I hated this face because he was a jerk.

I still remembered how he fooled me around, so I walked over, stood still, and gave him a punch in his face. Now that he was not the alpha, I could take revenge without any scruples.

He didn’t dodge, and I hit him really hard.

Soon, there was a swollen red mark on his face.

“What’s wrong with you?” I asked. I thought that he could avoid it.

"I deserve it, right?"

He didn’t get annoyed. Instead, he took out a veil from his pocket and wore it.

At this moment, a car came from a distance and pulled up.

So he was going to meet someone. Wrong time. I would see him next time.

As I was about to leave, he grasped my hands.

Being caught off guard, I fell into his arms. Our eyes met.

Why did he stop me?

The next second, the car door opened. The guys who got out of the car answered my question.
