Third person's POV
"Just tell me, if I can help," Orson said.
Tabitha whispered a few words into his ear. A look of concern appeared in Orson's eyes. "Are you sure?"
"Orson, whether I'm alive or dead, I have to leave here," Tabitha replied firmly.
"Alright, I'll do my best."
Derek held Tabitha's blood routine report, his face full of confusion. "Her red and white blood cell counts have increased, and all the data is improving. But why can't she get out of bed yet?"
Kamp also shook his head, "It's weird. Tabitha should be able to walk around."
Orson's expression turned cold. "Do you know the power of chemotherapy drugs? Besides the wolfsbane, her normal cells have also been damaged. Just one round of chemotherapy is enough to leave her severely weakened. Her knees are weak, her hands and feet are cold. It's only been about twenty days since the treatment. It's normal that she can't get out of bed. The kind of physical damage she suffered doesn't recover in a month or two. It takes at least a year or two. Some chemotherapy patients are troubled by side effects for even seven or eight years."
Kamp, after all, was just a pack doctor from the Black Thorn Pack and not as professional as Orson.
"That's right. It's a stroke of luck that Tabitha is improving now. You can't expect her to heal as quickly as a normal werewolf injured," Orson continued.
Derek rubbed his tired eyes. "I'm too impatient."
"Yes, Alpha Derek. Tabitha's stable condition is a blessing. Her body needs to be nurtured slowly. You can't rush things."
"Although Tabitha's situation is not very good, any improvement is a good sign. I will monitor her physical data at all times. However, Alpha Derek, as I always say, do not stimulate Tabitha. It's important to keep her mood stable and comfortable."
"I understand."
To ensure Tabitha could rest and recover, Derek avoided meeting her. As for Daphne, he had her confined to the backyard.
To prevent any further trouble, keeping her under his watchful eye with guards was the safest approach.
He created a conducive environment for Tabitha's recovery, hoping fervently every day that she would get better.
However, he didn't know that every night, Tabitha would quietly get out of bed and exercise in the yard. She was practicing climbing.
Orson had sent her the floor plan. Although she was on the first floor, outside the wall was a large garden. There were surveillance cameras everywhere. The possibility of her escaping secretly was slim to none.
If Derek discovered her attempt to escape, he would only increase the guard and not give her another chance.
Therefore, the plan to flee was quickly abandoned by Tabitha.
To leave, there was only one way - to get out of there first.
"Orson, I have a plan. But I need a catalyst. I will need your cooperation at that time."
"Alright."
Tabitha had already learned that Daphne was also living in the villa. Daphne was the perfect breakthrough.
However, Daphne's yard was guarded. With Tabitha's limited mobility, it was difficult for her to get there. Luring out this breakthrough was not easy.
In the afternoon, Tabitha said to Jenny, "Jenny, take me for a walk around."
"Jenny, I haven't been to this side. Take me there."
This path led to Daphne's yard. Jenny's face slightly changed, "It's getting late. The doctor said you should have meals more frequently. Let's go back and eat."
"Jenny, I'm not hungry. I think this place looks good. Just take me there. Lying in the room every day, I'm about to go crazy from boredom."
"This is just a yard. There's nothing much to see. I'll take you to the front yard for a walk..."
Tabitha looked at her coldly, "Why won't you let me go? Does Derek have someone hidden in it?"
"Luna Tabitha, what are you talking about? Of course not."
"Then take me there."
Jenny didn't understand why she insisted on going to that courtyard. Wasn't it asking for trouble?
