Third person's POV
Derek returned to the sea area where Tabitha had committed suicide.
Rolf and Alvin looked haggard. Although they were on a rotating shift, they had hardly rested these days, with dark circles under their eyes.
They were well aware of Tabitha's importance to Derek.
Over the past three days, they had increased the workforce and used all resources for the salvage operation.
Seeing Derek, they quickly approached him, greeting him, "Alpha Derek."
Derek's eyes were bloodshot. The black suit he wore lacked its former vigor, adding a touch of desolation.
He spoke, his voice hoarse, "Any results?"
Alvin shook his head. "Not yet. The sea area where Tabitha jumped is a bit complicated. She encountered a rip current and was swept away. It's a drop-off area with depths of hundreds of meters and poor visibility, making the salvage operation quite challenging."
Derek's fists clenched, his knuckles turning white with the force of his grip. He stared out into the distance, his mind racing with thoughts of Tabitha, alone and lost in the depths of the sea.
"I'll do it."
He changed into a diving suit, put on an oxygen tank, and followed the salvage team into the deep sea.
The deeper he went, the lower the visibility became, allowing him to see many schools of fish, corals, and other marine life.
After three days, even if Tabitha's body hadn't been eaten by fish, it should have been deformed and bloated.
Derek was both afraid of finding her and eager to find her quickly. He didn't want her to be alone in the sea.
'Tabitha, don't be afraid, I'm here to take you home. Let's never be apart again, okay?'
Derek searched the sea over and over again until he was exhausted.
From sunrise to sunset, there was still no trace.
He lay on the deck, looking at the starry sky above, gasping for breath.
At that moment, he was so tired that he couldn't even lift his fingers.
"Alpha Derek, don't go into the water anymore. It's dangerous."
Derek didn't respond, as if his soul had been sucked out by someone.
"After so many days, do you think Tabitha might still be alive?"
Although everyone thought this possibility was slim, no one wanted to discourage him at this time.
"Maybe. Tabitha has made it through so many times. She might be safe this time as well. Alpha Derek, you must take care of yourself. You still have things to do."
Derek suddenly sat up, "Right, I have many things to do. I have a feeling Tabitha is not dead!"
Alvin asked curiously, "Alpha Derek, why?"
"If Tabitha wanted to commit suicide due to unbearable physical pain, why didn't she choose a simpler method? A knife, drowning, or even cutting her wrists would be faster. Why go through such a complicated process?"
"Alpha Derek, you mean Tabitha deliberately acted for you."
"It's possible. If I'm not mistaken, she not only doesn't want to die but has a strong desire to survive. She just wants to use this method to completely get rid of me," Derek continued, his voice filled with a newfound conviction.
Derek had regained his composure and analyzed Tabitha's situation methodically.
"If it's really like Alpha Derek said, then Tabitha definitely went into the sea. But she couldn't survive alone. There must be someone helping her."
"It's Orson. I just remember that his face showed no sadness when this happened. He must have known Tabitha was still alive. I was just too immersed in Tabitha's death and didn't notice it in time."
Rolf's eyes flashed with joy as he exclaimed, "So we just need to control Orson to find Tabitha.
"Alpha Derek, I'll check right away."
