Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 597

Ch. 597 / 840 May 06, 2026

Third person's POV

Alvin took out his phone, "This is the footage captured by the spider camera today."

In the image, Tabitha was quietly sitting in the courtyard reading a book.

Despite the camera being only as big as a spider, the quality of the footage was incredibly clear.

Derek slowly raised his hand as if touching Tabitha's cheek, feeling in his heart that letting go was indeed the right choice. Tabitha's condition was indeed much better than before.

"I just received news that Orson had some chemotherapy drugs prepared. Tabitha should be starting her second round of chemotherapy."

"I see."

Although Derek could only see the faint lights in the villa, knowing that Tabitha was inside brought him some peace.

Unfortunately, they dared not act rashly for fear of alerting Tabitha. So, they could only place the spider camera in the courtyard, waiting for Tabitha to come out for filming.

"Alpha Derek, let's go back. You can't see Tabitha here, but as long as you know she is alive, you can rest assured."

Thinking of Tabitha's strong reaction during the last chemotherapy, Derek's eyes were filled with worry.

He longed to see her. But at the moment, he could do nothing.

"I'll stay a bit longer."

Derek did not leave but stood on the hill all night.

This night was not peaceful for Tabitha. During chemotherapy, she vomited three times.

Orson repeatedly asked to stop because her body could not bear it.

However, Tabitha knew in her heart that if she delayed like this, she would only face death. Chemotherapy was the only way.

She gritted her teeth and stopped Orson, "Dr. Romero, I can still persist. I mean it, don't give up on me. Give me one more chance."

Orson sighed.

"You're cruel to yourself."

"I don't want to escape from him only to end up dying anyway. I want to live."

Only by living could she see her children and bring the mastermind to justice.

Tonight, Tabitha's heart was always in turmoil. The last time she had this sense was because of Derek.

"Dr. Romero, I really haven't been discovered, right? Derek is very suspicious. I'm really scared..."

"Tabitha, don't worry. He hasn't found any clues. He's very weak now. However, if you're really not at ease, I'll find an opportunity to test his reactions."

"Okay."

Tabitha dozed off in a daze. And even in her dreams, she was not at peace.

Derek was like a devil, always following her, whispering in her ear, "You can't run away."

As dawn approached, the last bag of medication was finally finished.

Orson removed the needle for her, "In the next few days, you will again suffer unbearable pain."

Tabitha weakly said, "I know, Dr. Romero. Please test Derek's reactions for me."

"Rest well. I will let you know as soon as there is any news."

After comforting a few words, Theodora chased after him.

Taking advantage of the absence of others, she hugged Orson's waist, "Did you miss me?"

"Of course, I missed you, Dora. It's been tough these days. Tabitha is a poor soul, having lost her parents and now her lover. Please take good care of her."

"She will get through this," Theodora kissed Orson on the cheek, "Alright, go ahead. I won't disturb you."

Orson patted her head and left, heading straight for the Greenwood family's villa.

Derek's gaunt face looked even paler, his eyes filled with bloodshot, which startled Orson.

'Alpha Derek must not have slept for a day, right?'

"Alpha Derek, sorry to disturb you. I left some medical supplies here. Tabitha didn't use them since she left, so I thought I'd come to take them back."

Derek casually glanced at him. Orson's visit was definitely not just for the medical supplies.

"Dr. Romero, please feel free."

Orson, after all, was kind-hearted, "The deceased has gone to heaven. We cannot change that. You need to take care of yourself, Alpha Derek."
