Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 569

Ch. 569 / 840 May 06, 2026

Third person's POV

If Tabitha were to remember everything from the past, she would undoubtedly despise Derek even more.

However, Andrea's words made sense. Tabitha's sudden deterioration was due to M-1. If there was a way to halt this drug, perhaps it could control the worsening of her wolfsbane.

Despite his reluctance, Derek knew he had to act. He couldn't bear to see Tabitha suffer any longer.

"Alright, I will have the doctors reassess. Please take care of Tabitha."

Derek sought out the medical team that had initially researched M-1. And their conclusions aligned with Andrea's.

Kamp cautiously suggested, "Alpha Derek, I've wanted to mention this when you considered feeding Tabitha the drug. This memory-loss drug inherently disrupts the body's immunity and numerous barriers, affecting the body over a long period. The side effects on ordinary people are minimal, but when it encounters wolfsbane, it's like finding a perfect accomplice, exacerbating the condition.

"Only suppression is not enough. We must completely eliminate the negative effects brought on by M-1. Otherwise, the combination of various medications, including those for cancer treatment, will compound the problem.

"But Alpha Derek, with the documents and information you provided, we could only develop this drug now. As for the antidote, we currently have no solution. We can only delve into Poison and Wolf Shadow."

In the garden below, Tabitha found solace in the warmth of the sun, with Tucker, her loyal canine companion, by her side.

Derek watched from the second-floor terrace, his heart aching at the sight of her. She looked so peaceful, so innocent, and yet he knew the pain that lurked beneath the surface.

The tranquility was shattered when Tabitha suddenly clutched her chest, her face twisted in a grimace of pain.

Jenny rushed to her, asking, "Luna Tabitha, what's wrong?"

Tabitha held her head, grimacing, "It hurts. It hurts so much."

Tabitha's words were cut short as she vomited, her body wracked with pain. Derek's heart raced as he hurried to her side, helping her to bed.

Tabitha was extremely weak, curling up like a little white rabbit, pitiful and vulnerable.

He brought her a glass of water, hoping to soothe her, but it was in vain. "Drink some water first."

As soon as Tabitha sipped it, she vomited again. This time, it was all blood that even stained Derek's clothes.

"Orson! Call Orson immediately," he shouted, his voice filled with desperation.

Orson, for old times' sake, lived in the Greenwood's villa, always ready to examine Tabitha.

He arrived in less than a minute. His brows were furrowing at the sight of blood on Tabitha's bed. It was a bad omen.

Tabitha's head and stomach were in intense pain. Already unwell, chemotherapy had affected other parts of her body, and the headache made Tabitha's suffering unbearable.

"It hurts! It hurts so much!"

"Tabitha, don't be afraid. I'm here."

Orson quickly administered painkillers, but they seemed to have little effect on Tabitha's agony.

The pain was unbearable, a constant reminder of her condition. Tabitha's thoughts turned to the darkest of places, even considering an end to her own life to escape the torment. Each breath was a struggle, each moment a fresh hell.

Tucker, sensing the gravity of the situation, circled Tabitha a few times before returning to his doghouse.

His toys had all been brought over, and he rummaged through them as if searching for something.

Realizing his white bottle was missing, Tucker became frantic, barking urgently.

Andrea, already on edge, tried to shush Tucker, but the dog's distress only added to the tension in the room. "Go away! Don't bark here."
