Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 602

Ch. 602 / 840 May 06, 2026

Third person's POV

Elena's face revealed a paranoid and morbid smile despite being slapped.

"I am a madwoman. Why should I bear all the suffering in this world alone? Since I am already in hell, I will drag more people down with me. Alpha Derek, if you blame anyone, blame yourself for loving her!"

As if remembering something, she added, "It doesn't matter that you hit me. But don't forget, I am the one behind it, but you are the executor. It's your own disbelief in her, your indifference, your neglect, and your bullying that have hurt her the most. I am not the one who wounded her deeply."

Derek's raised hand stopped at this moment.

He knew Elena was right. He was the real culprit and had no right to resent anyone else.

He slumped down and lit a cigarette, staring into the void. "Now she's gone, and I've lost everything. Are you satisfied?"

Elena's gaze fell on Derek's gaunt and haggard face. She didn't speak, and no one knew what she was thinking.

The atmosphere was as dead as silence. Derek's cigarette had already burned out. He saw Elena carefully.

It was possible that Elena's psychology had changed after experiencing those events, even becoming extremely resentful towards Tabitha.

However, just because of this, she had made his entire family and even their child, shattered.

This reason was somewhat weak.

"Who else was involved in this besides you?" Derek asked.

"No one else. I did it all. My goal was to torment her, to make her die. And now that the goal is achieved, if you want to kill me, go ahead. I have no complaints."

She had become like this, so Derek didn't do anything to her.

He went out, and Alvin followed him. "Alpha Derek, did you find out anything?"

"She says it's because she's jealous of Tabitha, but I always feel that there's something off about this matter."

"What's off?"

"She disguised herself as a cleaner and was by my side for years, even before I married Tabitha. Every time I got sick, she would find various excuses to bring me medicine. If she wanted me dead, she could have done it long ago. So, she not only didn't want to harm me but also cared about me. She knew how important Tabitha was to me. She was clearly knew that if Tabitha died, how heartbroken I would be. Isn't that contradictory for her?"

Rolf was confused. "Alpha Derek, what do you mean?"

"I think that's not true. This reason doesn't make sense. But she's tight-lipped. I thought I could take this opportunity to find out some things, but she still won't talk."

"Alpha Derek, do you suspect that Elena has connections with the one who wants to harm Tabitha?" Alvin said, voicing what Derek wanted to say.

"Yes, that person is hiding too deep. It can't be found in a short time. You might as well follow the lead of Elena and investigate thoroughly."

Alvin nodded solemnly, "I get it, Alpha Derek. I'll look into it right away. I'm also curious about who holds such a grudge against Tabitha that they started plotting so early."

Rolf slapped his thigh in frustration, "We had such a good chance that time! We were so close to catching her. If I'd known, I would have aimed my shot right at her chest and ended it all."

"If the shot had been in the hand or the leg, it would have been easier to tell. But it was in the back. Once she put her clothes on, we lost track again," he continued.

Derek's eyes were cold and determined, "We will find out. Keep an eye on Elena. See if that person will contact her again, and make sure to keep the news of Tabitha being alive under wraps."

"Understood."
