Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 604

Ch. 604 / 840 May 06, 2026

Third person's POV

Every day and every second of being sick was a torment, and Tabitha still had to wait another month.

Tabitha sighed, hoping to get in touch with Lucian soon, even if it was just to see photos of her children.

However, due to Lucian's special status, she didn't dare use her old number, so she couldn't contact him at all.

Derek had been waiting for a long time and finally received another video update of Tabitha.

She hadn't left the courtyard for several days, indicating that her condition was indeed very weak. Even today, when she came out, she could only sit in a wheelchair.

Derek's fingers touched the screen. She seemed to have lost more weight than last time. She had no flesh on her face, with a sharp chin. A pair of eyes were alarmingly large on her face.

"Is this the sixth time?" Derek asked.

"Yes, after this chemotherapy, it's all over. All that's left is to rest and recuperate."

"Tabitha's won't trouble others for long. As soon as she feels a bit better, she'll leave. Keep a close eye on the surroundings of the villa."

"Understood, Alpha Derek. Are you going there?"

Derek had been back in Seattle for half a year. Previously, he had been low-key and never participated in any activities.

Instead, he now attended business and charity events every now and then.

He even established a charity fund to help cancer patients, assisting many who were sick and without money.

The media competed to report on his affairs. Tabitha could often see his face on the screen.

He had lost weight. His complexion was poor, indicating that her fake death had hit him hard.

However, she didn't regret it.

Now, her attention to Derek was only to confirm whether he was in Seattle. So she could live in peace. She had no feelings for him at all.

This was another charity event Derek had recently attended. He wasn't wearing a suit and tie but a simple white T-shirt with the foundation's logo.

His slim figure made him look younger.

His hair wasn't fixed back with wax, and short bangs casually fell over his forehead.

Many young women at the scene kept their gaze on him. The kindergarten he had donated to had been completed and welcomed its first batch of students.

Children surrounded him. He showed no coldness at all. Instead, he reached out and picked up a child with an indissoluble smile on the corner of his mouth.

Tabitha was about to turn off the live. She had confirmed he was still in Seattle, which was her purpose.

A reporter handed the microphone to him, "Mr. Greenwood, what drives your enthusiasm for charity?"

"Someone once told me that if she had the ability in the future, she would definitely help those who are homeless, sick and unable to afford medical treatment, and those who have no money to go to school. I'm just realizing her ideals."

"This person must be very important to you, right?"

Derek, who had been looking at the children, suddenly raised his head and looked at the camera.

"Yes, very important. She is the love of my life."

"Is it she the one who passed..."

Before the word "passed away" could be fully spoken, Derek coldly interrupted, "No matter where she has gone, I will remember every word she said and finish what she didn't have the chance to complete."

"Wow, Mr. Greenwood loves her so much," the host said, her eyes sparkling as she looked at him.

Derek still stared straight into the camera. For a moment, Tabitha felt as if his gaze had penetrated through the camera to see her.

She heard him say word by word, "I love her. no matter where she is, I will always love her."
