Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 578

Ch. 578 / 840 May 06, 2026

Third person's POV

Jenny, recalling Andrea's past actions, could then understand Tabitha's insistence.

After all, how many women could tolerate their husbands keeping a lover under the same roof as them?

Jenny found herself in a dilemma. If she didn't comply with Tabitha, that might raise suspicions. But if she took her there, that could lead to conflicts.

"Jenny, so there really is something in this courtyard!"

Tabitha stood up from her wheelchair and began to limp in that direction.

"Luna Tabitha, let's go back," Jenny hurriedly dissuaded.

"I want to see who's hiding here."

Seeing the situation getting out of hand, Jenny quickly sent someone to call Derek.

Derek arrived with haste.

A cold glint flashed in Tabitha's eyes, like a blade in the chilly night, exuding a chilling determination.

"Open the door."

"Tabitha, just go back," Derek tried to dissuade her.

"You claim to love me, right? I want to see who you truly love." Tabitha, with an unwavering attitude, glared at the pack guards and said, "Open the door."

Derek wanted to take her away forcibly. But considering her current health, he had to go along with her wishes.

The door opened. Tabitha saw Chloe and Reid playing in the yard, chasing butterflies.

Pointing at Reid, Tabitha said, "Is this how you show your love? You claim to love me while secretly allowing your lover and child to live with me?"

Derek was at a loss for words. He had explained before, but even presenting the paternity test to Tabitha didn't convince her that the child was hers. How could he explain now?

"Tabitha, let's go back to the room. I'll tell you anything you want to know if you trust me."

At that moment, Daphne also came out, pushing a wheelchair. "Miss Hartley, please don't misunderstand. Derek and I have already broken off our engagement. In my current state, I don't intend to compete with you for anything. I just want a place to take shelter. Please, just give my children a chance to live. Don't drive us away."

She spoke cautiously, "I just hope my children can occasionally see their father. You, being a mother, must understand, right?"

These seemingly harmless words pierced Tabitha's heart.

Even if Tabitha had come to provoke, Daphne's words still hurt her.

Derek coldly looked at Daphne, "Shut the fuck up!"

"Why? Why don't let her speak? Derek, you are indeed a master planner, wanting to have the best of both worlds."

"Tabitha, I didn't... I was just..." Derek felt that Tabitha was acting weird today. She was like a gentle and well-mannered young lady who suddenly picked a fight with others.

"Well, I'll give you one last chance today. Choose me or this woman?" Tabitha, to avoid suspicion, had to play her part more convincingly.

"If you love me, drive her and her children away. Promise never to see them again, and I will forgive you. Otherwise, I will leave here."

Derek, not wanting her to get angry, quickly agreed, "Alright, I'll do as you say. As long as you're not angry, anything is fine. Truman, pack up Miss Sutten's things and escort them out of the villa."

Tabitha was taken aback. It was not the script she had in mind.

Didn't Derek used to care about Daphne a lot?

She thought Derek would hesitate, giving her an opportunity to make an issue out of it. But Derek's response was so straightforward, leaving her no room to cause a scene.

Daphne, however, played her part well, immediately tearful at the prospect of being driven away, "Derek, I only have these two children left. I have nothing else. You promised to take care of us. You can't drive us away."

'Yes, that's how it should be played,' Tabitha mentally applauded Daphne. Otherwise, how could she pretend to faint from the shock later?

Derek waved his hand, "Rolf, escort Miss Sutten out!" He left no room for negotiation.

At this critical moment, nothing was more important to him than Tabitha's life.

As Daphne continued to plead, Tabitha was building up her emotions when suddenly she heard a "woof."

Tabitha looked up to see Tucker fall from the rooftop without warning, landing with a "bang" right in front of her.
