Third person's POV
Speaking of which, Andrea and Megan were cousins. It seemed that due to their blood relation, both had once been highly blind when it came to love.
"Seems you've finally cured your eyes and stopped chasing after a piece of broken stone as if it were a treasure," Megan said, holding a fan and lazily fanning herself.
Her every gesture exuded charm.
After a long time without meeting, her first sentence directly hit Andrea's sore spot.
Andrea was not willing to be outdone, "I can't compare to your deep affection either. After being rejected for so many years, you still schemed this whole drama. Oh, and in the end, you didn't get Mark's love either, did you?"
"I didn't. But at least I vented my anger. His family fell apart. I'm not as soft-hearted as you, giving away my husband and even providing money for them. You should really open up a charity fund."
Megan's background was very average. She was an illegitimate child, so her family didn't favor her. Only Andrea, a legitimate and wealthy young lady, paid attention to her. The two had grown up loving and fighting with each other.
Today, Andrea changed from the past. She did not continue to argue with Megan. Instead, she sat down and poured herself a cup of coffee.
"You and I are just the same. Since our situations are similar, why mock each other?"
Andrea sighed, "How is that child...?"
"I thought you only cared about Ambrose and had long forgotten that you had hurt a girl."
"In my early years, I was totally insane. That's why I hurt those two kids. Elena had already lost her family. She was pitiful. I've been grateful for your care over the years."
Megan lit a cigarette, her expression languid, "Andrea, there is no Elena in this world anymore, only Hawthorn."
"I want to see her."
"To be frank, she may not want to see you. The things you did when she was a child have become her nightmares. Even now, she is still scared awake in the middle of the night. Your existence is a hurt to her, so there's no need to meet her."
Elena watched from afar. Her heart was not calm after knowing that Andrea would come.
She hadn't seen her Luna in many years. Her impression of Andrea was still from her childhood when Andrea pinched her neck and ferociously shouted at her to die.
However, the beauty under the moon tonight was noble and elegantly intellectual, utterly different from the Luna in her memory.
Hearing her ask about herself, Elena was still a bit excited.
Unlike Derek, although Elena was not Andrea's biological daughter, as her Luna, they had an emotional bond as if they were the closest kin in the world.
Elena was scared, but there was no hatred in her feelings towards Andrea.
Andrea wanted to see Elena. Elena was panicked. Subconsciously, her fingers touched her face, which had been disfigured in a fire and had undergone many surgeries to preserve her appearance.
Andrea would definitely not recognize her.
Even so, Elena still felt like a child by the kindergarten fence on a rainy day, longing for Andrea to come and pick her up early.
Andrea was sorry. She thought about the pain she had brought to Elena, which had continued until now. Elena probably hated herself, and naturally, Elena would be unwilling to meet.
This time, Andrea had a more important purpose. She needed more time to be with Elena.
But Tabitha couldn't wait any longer.
Just as Elena thought her mother would continue to plead to see her, Andrea spoke, "Megan, I won't hide it. I have a more important matter this time. I need the antidote to M-1."
