Third person's POV
In the night, in a villa in the mountains, Orson arrived quietly.
As night fell, the lights in the first-floor rooms were on.
Seeing Orson come in, Theodora hurried to greet him, "No one followed you, right??"
"No, how is she doing?"
Theodora pouted and wrapped her arms around his neck, displeased, "Let your mate take care of the woman you once had a crush on, and the first thing you ask when you arrive is about her. Isn't that weird?"
"Sorry, Dora. It's just that Tabitha's situation is a bit special."
Seeing Orson's anxious explanation, Theodora burst into laughter, her dimples very cute.
"Alright, I was just teasing you. Am I that kind of woman? Actually, I can understand. Such an excellent lady, and she's so stunning. With Tabitha's face, even as a woman, I'm attracted to her, let alone you."
Orson breathed a sigh of relief, fearing that Theodora might misunderstand.
Although he had a good feeling for Tabitha in the past, he had fallen in love with Theodora, this cute girl, over the past two years.
"Stop talking nonsense."
Theodora clasped her hands, her eyes sparkling, "I can finally understand why Alpha Derek would do anything to keep Tabitha. Her every smile is so touching. If it were me, I wouldn't let her go either."
Theodora stuck her tongue out, "I've gone off-topic again. Anyway, don't worry. I really like her, and I won't be jealous. These past few days, Tabitha has been recovering quite well, not like before in the hospital when she was lifeless."
"That's good. Is she asleep? I have some news to tell her."
"Sure, I'll ask her out."
Theodora skipped towards Tabitha's room and knocked on the door. Upon hearing a response from inside, she then entered.
Tabitha, wearing a white robe with her hair loose, was looking down at a medical book.
Her face was very calm, especially with the light cascading from above her head, which left Theodora mesmerized.
She was like a nymph.
The nymph was the embodiment of the goddess of beauty.
"Dora, what's up?" Tabitha looked at her gently.
Theodora wiped her mouth, "Tabitha, Orson is here and has something to tell you."
Tabitha was already quite embarrassed to trouble Orson. Now that he had a mate, she should keep a distance from him.
"What does Dr. Romero have to say?" Tabitha knew that she should be more aware, so she changed her address accordingly.
Theodora wasn't stupid. She could see Tabitha trying to make herself as inconspicuous as possible, afraid of causing trouble for her.
"Tabitha, you don't have to feel any stress. Orson helps you not only because of our old classmates' feelings but also because we all hope you can be happy. As for his feelings for you, he mentioned them before we started dating."
"Don't you mind?"
Theodora rolled her eyes, saying, "I don't. There's nothing substantial between you two. I bet he hasn't even touched your hand. It's normal for a man to like you when you're so good. If he didn't like you, I would doubt his taste."
Looking at the youthful, lively, bright, generous, and confident Theodora, Tabitha seemed to see her past self.
But she was only a year older than Theodora.
Tabitha felt like an old woman, never able to smile like that.
"Tabitha, what's wrong? Did I say something wrong?"
Tabitha smiled gently, replying, "No, thank you so much. Let's go out together."
"Okay." Theodora looked at her, not knowing why. Even though she didn't say anything, just a smile made people feel sorry for her.
