Third person's POV
Seeing Tabitha feeling down, Jenny comforted her, "You haven't been eating well for all these days. Andrea cooked for you since you finally have an appetite."
Tabitha nodded, not taking the wheelchair. She slowly made her way to the living room.
Andrea, wearing an apron, said, "Sit down, the meal will be ready soon."
On the dining table, an exquisite white jade vase held freshly picked flowers. Every leaf was vibrant and fresh.
Tabitha's mind flashed back to a snowy day when she was arranging flowers indoors. Her stomach was round, and a slight smile was on her lips.
The door opened, and Derek walked in. He furiously accused her of causing trouble with Daphne, who was pregnant.
But he seemed to have forgotten that Tabitha was also pregnant.
It was so cold. Derek smashed her vase, scattering flowers on the floor.
"Hiss..." Tabitha held her head, not knowing why she could occasionally remember bits of her memories.
"What's wrong, Tabitha? Do you have a headache?" Andrea quickly soothed her.
"I..."
Tabitha wanted to speak, but a series of images appeared in her mind. In those scenes, it was all that her being alone in an empty house, the flowers in the vase changing over and over, yet never waiting for that person to return.
"Tabitha, don't scare me! What's wrong? Shall we call a doctor here?"
Tabitha shook her head. Her trembling finger pointed at the vase, "Take it away."
"Okay, okay. I will take it away right now."
It took Tabitha a while to recover. When the dishes were served, Andrea enthusiastically introduced, "I originally learned this cooking skill for Ambrose. It's ridiculous that I've never cooked a meal for my parents."
Tabitha found that some memories were desperately pushing into her mind, such as her cooking for Derek. But she was a medical student, which means that what she should take up is a scalpel rather than kitchenware.
Every time those memories entered her mind, Tabitha was in agony, having to go through the painful baptism once again.
Seeing her like this, Andrea said, "This is not good. I've been having a bad feeling lately."
Jenny suggested, "By the way, Luna Tabitha used to have a dog. It should have been airlifted here. Animals can heal people. Why not try with the dog?"
"That's also a good idea. But I always feel that her illness is a psychological problem."
Tabitha forced herself to eat a little and sat in the courtyard, basking in the warm sun, when a white dog suddenly rushed over.
"Woof woof!"
"This dog..."
Andrea introduced, "It's the one you used to have. It's Tucker."
Tucker.
Right.
Images of a little girl with a school bag and a white dog following her appeared in Tabitha's mind.
The puppy would always meet her at the crossing after school, and she would run towards the white dog, lifting it high.
Just like now, Tabitha sat in her wheelchair, lifting Tucker, "Long time no see, Tucker."
"Woof!"
Memories of growing up with Tucker flooded her mind. Tabitha should be grateful that her childhood was happy.
She had her father's love. To keep Tabitha company, he specially adopted Tucker.
Tucker was not a purebred dog but was very human-like. As a child, he healed her loss of her mother, and now, in old age, he was healing her from her illness.
Tabitha was holding Tucker. It was a harmonious scene.
Andrea felt more and more that this decision was correct.
Jenny suddenly thought of something, "By the way, when Tucker was sent over, besides some of his toys, there was this bottle. It is said that when he came back from the island, he was holding this bottle in his mouth. I looked at it, and the things inside look like pills. It doesn't seem to be dog food. I'm afraid it might not be good for Luna Tabitha."
Andrea glanced at the unpackaged bottle, and the contents looked a bit like small pills.
"Tucker is an old dog. Dogs like this are usually very human-like, indicating that the contents of the bottle are very important to him. Ask Derek to test it and see what's inside."
"Okay, Madam."
