Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 596

Ch. 596 / 840 May 06, 2026

Third person's POV

Orson felt relieved seeing Tabitha's current state.

"I was afraid you would feel sorry for him and regret your decision. Seeing you let go completely, I can rest easy," he said.

Tabitha met his gaze with a clarity that was both new and familiar.

"Dr. Romero, the old Tabitha has died in that sea. This path is my choice, and I will not regret it." Her voice was steady, a testament to the resolve that now defined her.

Orson suddenly remembered that Tabitha had responded just as calmly as now when he asked her if she regretted marrying Derek.

She never regretted it.

Only Tabitha was firmer now. She was like a phoenix reborn from the ashes, carrying an unyielding resilience.

"I will never give up my life before finishing what I should do."

Tabitha was determined. She had too many things left undone.

She needed to find out who had been manipulating others to kill her. Besides, she needed to find a person.

After regaining her memory, Tabitha thought of the man she met in the mall while she was amnesiac, Lucian.

He was holding a pair of twins. At the time, she felt very familiar with those children.

Most importantly, she held one of them, who weighed about seven or eight pounds, similar to a newborn.

However, Lucian was holding the child vertically. Children under three months old can only be held horizontally because their cervical spine is not developed enough.

There was only one possibility. Those two children were premature, which is why they were so much smaller than other children of the same age.

When she was pregnant, Lucian had warned her with a bullet. He was with those people and wanted to protect her.

Calculating the dates, it was highly likely that the children he was holding were her own twins.

Unfortunately, she had forgotten everything and missed the appointment, missing the opportunity.

Thinking that her children were still alive, Tabitha's motivation to live became even stronger.

Orson chatted with her for a while before asking, "Tabitha, what are your plans now?"

"Orson, I want to cooperate with the treatment and undergo the second round of chemotherapy."

"But your current situation..."

Tabitha explained honestly, "After the chemotherapy I had two years ago, the effect was very good. Later, I was taking an anti-wolfsbane drug, and my abdomen hadn't hurt for a long time. However, Derek, in order to reconcile with me, injected me with a memory-loss drug. My condition deteriorated rapidly, and even chemotherapy was useless. Later, Derek restored my memory, so I suspect that the drug that made me lose my memory caused my illness to worsen rapidly. Now the effect of the drug has disappeared, and my body is gradually getting better. Now chemotherapy is the only means."

"Although your body has improved, the side effects of the second chemotherapy will be more severe than before."

"I was not afraid of death, let alone afraid of living. Dr. Romero, please help me."

"Alright, as long as you have confidence."

Tabitha now had only one thought. No matter what method it took, she had to survive.

She had already passed twenty-one days. So, Orson had the medication prepared that very night.

"Tabitha, if you feel any discomfort, just let me know."

"Okay, let's begin."

Now, she didn't care about her body as long as she could live.

Tabitha didn't know that on the mountain opposite the villa, there stood a person.

Derek stood with his hands behind his back, the mountain breeze blowing his hair. The moonlight was falling on his face, making his expression even colder.

"Confirmed, Tabitha is here."
